However, few studies have investigated this link. Voluntarily proximity tracing applications (PTA) are the first mobile applications to be implemented nationwide for population health issues. Our paper investigates the effect of age on the antecedents (perceived ease of use and usefulness, trust, and privacy control) of the intention to adopt a PTA. Our model is tested on a representative sample of 1000 French citizens. All variables were measured using scales drawn from the extant literature and adapted to suit the context. Age was measured as a continuous variable. . We found that age directly influences privacy control, but it has no direct effect on trust nor on the perceived ease of use or the perceived usefulness of a PTA. The results show that age is not a direct determinant of the antecedents of behavioral intention except of ...

They have been labeled the "net generation" and "digital natives" and it is claimed that they learn differently to previous generations. Recent research has questioned the homogeneity of this generation. Our study examined how students in the same classroom differ in their preferences for learning technologies. Using cluster analysis, we find that one class of business school students breaks down into three distinct groups according to their level of use of innovative technologies and their learning styles. Technology matters for some students, but not for all.

They then use a psychological theory, namely equity theory, to interpret this new information about Fayol's private life and construct an explanation of his efforts to theorise his management experience.FindingsHenri Fayol's schooling and his father's military career respectively influenced his perception of mathematics teaching in management training and the functioning of the army. His motivation to found a science of management was not financial but instead most probably a response to the obstacles his father encountered during his career...

Design/methodology/approach This paper develops and validates a measurement instrument that captures the attitude toward business statistics, the foundation of business analytics. A multi-stage approach is implemented and the validation is conducted with a sample of 311 students from a business school. Findings The instrument has strong psychometric properties. It is designed so that it can be easily extrapolated to professional contexts and extended to the entire domain of business analytics. Research limitations/implications As the advent of a data-driven business world will impact the way organizations function and the way individuals think, work, communicate and interact, it is crucial to engage a transdisciplinary dialogue amon...

More and more of these resources are being made available online. The way students choose amongst different optional learning resources is poorly understood. The paper reports the findings of a study that examined differences in student perceptions of different web-based learning support services such as groupware and online courses. Based on a sample of 55 undergraduate business school students in an e-commerce major, the findings indicate that effort minimization strongly influences student use of administrative services but less so more learning related services. The results have important implications for trainers and teachers involved in the design and implementation of web based learning resources and services.
