Osteomalacia
¿Qué es?
La osteomalacia es una enfermedad metabólica
ósea que se caracteriza por una alteracion de la
mineralización ósea, con frecuencia relacionada
con alteraciones del metabolismo de la vitamina
D y el fosfato(sales o los ésteres del ácido
fosfórico)
Causas
★ Dietas bajas en calcio
★ Falta de exposición solar
★ Dietas bajas en vitamina D
★ Trastornos renales(cualquier
enfermedad de los riñones)
Síntomas
★ Dolor óseo
★ Debilidad muscular
★ Debilidad en las piernas
El dolor sordo y fuerte relacionado con la
osteomalacia afecta con mayor frecuencia la pelvis, la
cadera, las piernas y las costillas
Tratamientos
El tratamiento puede consistir en suplementos orales de vitamina D, calcio
y fó[Link] personas que no pueden absorber bien los nutrientes a través
de los intestinos pueden necesitar dosis más grandes de vitamina D y
calcio
