Sociedad Internacional de
Ecoturismo (TIES)
Organización sin fines de lucro dedicada a promover el ecoturismo.
Fundada en 1990, proporciona directrices y normas, capacitación,
asistencia técnica, investigación y publicaciones.
MISIÓN: promueve el ecoturismo "viaje responsable a zonas
naturales que conserva el medio ambiente y mejora el bienestar de la
población local."
VISIÓN: Utilizando el ecoturismo como una herramienta eficaz para
la conservación biocultural, se ha comprometido a promover y
apoyar los esfuerzos en la conducción de un cambio sostenible en el
turismo mundial y la industria de viajes.

UNESCO

equilibrio entre la conservación de los
recursos y las actividades humanas.
Zona nodular. núcleo, compuesta por un ecosistema protegido
estrictamente, y que contribuye a la conservación de los paisajes, ecosistemas, especies y
variaciones genéticas;
