INTRODUCCIÓN
Actualmente existe una amplia gama
de procesos que permiten obtener
piezas de material compuesto con
diferentes características y
propiedades físicas, químicas y
mecánicas.
La selección de uno u otro debe estar
basada en consideraciones de
diversos factores tales como, tamaño
y forma de la pieza, control
microestructural, tipo de fibra
(refuerzo) y matriz, rendimiento
requerido y economía de mercado.

INTRODUCCIÓN
Cuando lo que se busca es una pieza
con buen comportamiento estructural,
bajo coste y poca emisión de
contaminantes los procesos LCM
(Liquid Composite Moulding), estos
son procesos modernos de
fabricación de piezas de altas
prestaciones con molde cerrado.
La infusión de resina es una técnica
sofisticada con un alto rendimiento
que permite crear piezas muy grandes
y de moldes complejos.

INTRODUCCIÓN
➜ Tomando como base la figura anterior, se pueden dividir
los procesos LCM en tres tipos:
➜ Contra-molde rígido
➜ Contra-molde semi rígido
➜ Contra-molde flexible
➜ Contra-molde rígido y semi rígido mantienen muchas
similitudes, ambos son procesos RTM (Resin Transfer
Molding) los de contra-molde rígido se apoyan ya sea
del peso del contramolde o de un mecanismo de
compresión para compactar el refuerzo y la matriz,
mientras que los procesos de contra-molde semi rígido
se apoyando del vacío.
