EXOESQUELTICA

Externamente no llevan funda y su acabado es a base de plstico laminado. Los elementos de la rodilla, tobillo y pie quedan a la vista, formando una estructura slida del conjunto de la prtesis. La estructura de soporte es externa.

ENDOESQUELTICA

Compuesta por una pieza de tubo, con adaptadores ajustables a los extremos, que conecta la unidad de la rodilla y las piezas tobillo-pie. La estructura de soporte es interna. Un tubo de muslo con adaptadores en ambos extremos conecta la pieza de rodilla con el encaje.

POSTOPERATORIA

Esta prtesis se usa en las 24hrs despus de la amputacin. Utilizadas en personas jvenes o en individuos que han sido amputados por trauma, tumor o infeccin.

INICIAL

Se utiliza de la 1 a la 4 semana despus de la amputacin, hasta que la lnea de sutura sea estable y la piel pueda soportar el esfuerzo provocado por un mejor molde. Utiliza durante los primeros 2 meses de la rehabilitacin. Para facilitar al paciente la transicin a un dispositivo definitivo. Se emplea para mejorar el potencial ambulatorio y rehabilitatorio. Se utiliza por un periodo de 3 a 6 meses.

Se prescribe hasta que el mun del paciente es estable para asegurar la prtesis durante el mayor tiempo posible. Rango de vida til es de 3 a 5 aos.

PRTESIS FUNCIONALES CONVENCIONALES

Origen energtico es la activacin muscular. La activacin y control del efector terminal son voluntarios. El control de este dispositivo se realiza desde el anclaje mediante una abduccin escapular, flexin de miembro superior o combinacin.

PRTESIS PARA LA AMPUTACIN DEL BRAZO

El grado en el que recubrir el encaje la articulacin escpulo-torcica depender de la longitud del mun.
La unidad del codo, se une con el antebrazo protsico mediante articulaciones. Se utilizan unidades de codo que se bloquean en diferentes posiciones entre 5 y 135 de flexin de codo o codo elctrico.

La prtesis funcional convencional para la amputacin del antebrazo se acciona por traccin mediante la fuerza de la musculatura. Elementos que la componen son: El encaje, el componente del codo, el dispositivo terminal, la unidad de mueca, el sistema de suspensin y el sistema de control.

PRTESIS PARA LA DESARTICULACIN DE CADERA Y HEMIPELVECTOMA

Se utilizan cuando se debe reemplazar el miembro inferior a nivel de la cadera o bien cuando el mun femoral es muy corto.

PRTESIS CONVENCIONAL
Indicado para pacientes obesos y personas mayores. El encaje se realiza con termoplstico o cuero reforzado con bandas metlicas que se extienden desde la lnea media anterior a la media posterior y hasta la cresta iliaca. El paciente se apoya en tuberosidad isquitica y la parte lateral de la pelvis. La suspensin se consigue mediante un cinturn ancho que pasan por el lado contralateral de la pelvis.

PRTESIS PARA LA DESARTICULACIN DE CADERA Y HEMIPELVECTOMA

PRTESIS CANADIENSE Su encaje se conforma sobre las prominencias seas, sobre todo la posterior y las apfisis espinosas de las vrtebras y se extiende alrededor de la hemipelvis del lado amputado. El apoyo se encuentra en la tuberosidad isquitica y el resto de la musculatura gltea del lado amputado. El sistema de suspensin se consigue mediante el sistema de contacto total y por el anclaje del encaje sobre el mun y sobre las crestas ilacas.

PRTESIS FEMORAL CON ENCAJE CAT-CAM

Indicada para amputaciones a nivel femoral.

La seccin transversal de PRTESIS este tipo de prtesis es FEMORAL CON cuadrilateral, siendo mayor ENCAJE su dimetro en el plano CUADRANGULAR frontal que en el sagital.

Es utilizada tambin en amputaciones a nivel transtibial. El encaje, utiliza un forro de silicona en contacto directo con la piel del paciente, lo que evita rozaduras.

PRTESIS TIBIAL EXOESQUELTICA PTB, PTS, KBM

Se utiliza para reemplazar el segmento del miembro inferior ausente desde el nivel transtibial. La prtesis cuenta con un encaje y un pie protsico con pieza de tobillo.

Externamente la prtesis exoesqueltica no lleva funda, siendo su acabado de plstico laminado.

PRTESIS PARA AMPUTACIN DE CHOPART

Se utiliza en casos de la articulacin a nivel mediotarsiana del pie. HEMIVALVA PLSTICA LAMINADA ANTERIOR Asciende desde el punto ms distal del mun del pie, por la parte anterior de la pierna, hasta la base de la rtula apoyndose sobre el tendn rotuliano. En la parte distal de esta prtesis se adapta un antepi protsico.

FRULA ANTIEQUINO Formada por una hemivalva posterior que asciende hasta el tercio proximal de la pantorrilla. Esta prtesis se une en el extremo distal a un relleno elstico o antepi que ayuda al despegue del pie.

PLANTILLA FLEXIBLE CON RELLENO Ayuda a evitar deformidades del pie derivadas de la amputaciones. DEDOS MOLDEADOS EN GOMA-SILICONA Se incorporan como material de relleno a una plantilla semirrgida.
