1.1 Descripción de la unidad didáctica
En esta unidad abordaremos los siguientes contenidos:
La hora.
El verbo to be.
Preguntas y respuestas de información personal (nombre, apellido, origen, edad,
domicilio, ocupación, estado civil, datos de contacto…)
Los demostrativos.

2. Secuencia de contenidos y actividades
2.1 In my class. En mi clase
My classroom. Mi clase
“A” (un, una) es el artículo indefinido y sirve para referirse a una persona u objeto
de forma genérica (indeterminada), sin especificar de qué se trata.
Cuando la siguiente palabra empieza por vocal, usamos “an” en lugar de “a”.
Si la “h” se pronuncia con una leve aspiración, usaremos a. Ej.: a house – una casa.
Si la “h” no se pronuncia, usaremos an (muy pocas palabras). Ej.: an hour – una hora.
Hay nombres que no se pueden contar, son incontables, por ejemplo chalk, nunca llevan
a/an y siempre van en singular. Ej.: It is chalk. It is a chalk. They are chalks.

Para cambiar un nombre de singular a plural, solemos añadir –s. Ej.: a book /

En ocasiones, hay cambios ortográficos al formar el plural:
– Los nombres acabados en -s, -ss, -x, -ch, -sh, -o añaden –es. Ej.: a bus/buses, a
class/classes, a box/boxes (caja), a watch/watches (reloj de pulsera), a
hairbrush/hairbrushes (cepillo del pelo), a potato/potatoes (patata).

Utilizamos el imperativo para dar instrucciones, órdenes, para advertir o para animar.
Las oraciones imperativas, en inglés, son las únicas en las que no escribimos el
sujeto.
A veces el imperativo puede sonar descortés. Por eso podemos suavizarlo con
“please”.
Diferenciamos entre:
Órdenes: (verbo) Open that door, please. (Abra/Abre esa puerta, por favor).
Prohibiciones: (Don’t + verbo) Don’t open that door, please. (No abras/No abra
esa puerta, por favor).

Que el mismo posesivo se usa tanto para nombres en singular como en plural.
