EXPRESIÓN GRAMATICAL II

INTRODUCCIÓN

Esta asignatura comprende cuatro temas, que se muestran en el mapa de la

unidad 2. En algunos temas encontrarás videos complementarios, que se sugiere
veas para reforzar la información de la unidad temática.
Para el estudio completo de esta unidad aprenderemos primero los adverbios de
frecuencia, los cuales muestran la frecuencia con que se realizan, las acciones así
mismo se enfatizan expresiones en tiempo presente que permiten realizar ciertas
actividades categorizadas como un hábito o rutina. En el segundo tema se verán
los patrones verbales, cuyo objeto es identificar los verbos que van seguidos de un
infinitivo y los que van seguidos de un verbo en gerundio.

En el tema tres se abordarán distintos tipos de conversación; por una parte, las
conversaciones formales que se dan entre familiares y amigos, y por otra aquellas
interacciones que realizamos al llevar a cabo una compra, poner una queja,
reclamar un producto, etc. Finalmente concluiremos con el tema 4 relacionado a
las preposiciones e instrucciones para pedir y dar información.

El entendimiento de estos temas brindará una mayor comprensión para seguir

avanzando en los temas subsecuentes de las siguientes unidades.
En cada uno de los contenidos que se presentan, es importante que apliques tus
capacidades cognoscitivas como: pensamiento, conocimiento, comprensión,
aplicación, análisis, síntesis y evaluación, para su máximo aprovechamiento.

En el siguiente esquema se presentan los contenidos temáticos correspondientes

a la segunda unidad de Inglés.

There are six main adverbs of frequency that we use in English: always, usually
(or normally), often, sometimes, hardly ever, and never.

2.1.2 Have got

It´s commonly use both have or have got to talk about possession, relationships,
illnesses and characteristics of people or things. We use have got in an informal
style. We also use have got / has got in present tenses and has the same
meaning as have. Have got is also used to talk about possessions and family
members.

We use have (got) here to refer to both verbs:

2.2 PATRONES VERBALES

2.2.1 Verbo + infinitivo o –ing

After some verbs we use the -ing form, and after other verbs we use the infinitive.
Sometimes we can use either form and there is no change in meaning. We can
use both forms and there is a change in meaning.

The difference in meaning is often small. The -ing form emphasises the verb itself.
The to-infinitive emphasise on the preference, the results or the action.

2.2.2 Aceptar o rechazar invitaciones

Imagine a best friend invites you his house for a weekend BBQ, your girlfriend or
boyfriend also invites you to go watching a movie and a family member invites you
to celebrate a birthday party the same day. Which invitation would you accept and
which one would you reject? There are many forms and expressions to accept and
decline invitations politely, then you will feel comfortable to take a decision
confidently. Let´s practice some phrases.

When you write an invitation you should include: the event, the place, the date and
time. When you have finished writing, check your work carefully for mistakes. Read

2.3 LENGUAJE Y ESTILO

2.3.1 Comunicación formal e informal

Formal and informal language focus on different purposes; the appropriate words,
the tone, the context and the combination of words that get together vary into two
different styles formal and informal language. It is usually used writing for academic
purposes in a formal style, and spoken language is more informal and
spontaneous, it is used in writing or conversation with friends or family. The tone of
informal language is more personal than formal language.

There are some expressions and forms for expressing in a formal or informal
language, here there are some:

In a conversation, react what the other person says using phrases such as:

When you talk about what you like and dislike, use different phrases and
demonstrate an interest in what the other person says.

Prepositions of Time!

A preposition of time can give us information on the relationship between two

words within a sentence, such as the relationship is the time that something is
occurring. For example, ‘the party had ended before the clock struck 10’. This
shows when something happened and allows us to understand what is being
talked about more clearly.
