Retomando el tema que mencionamos al inicio de esta
revista: ¿Cuánto tiempo es necesario para aprender/dominar
un idioma? La respuesta es más sencilla de lo que parece.
Tenemos que medir el tiempo en horas, no en semanas,
meses ni años, pues todo dependerá de la periodicidad de las
clases. Lo ideal para mí, son dos horas cada día, de lunes a
viernes; es decir, diez horas por semana. De esta manera,
está garantizado que, dependiendo de cada estudiante, el
proceso de enseñanza-aprendizaje tomaría entre 12 y 18
meses para tener un nivel respetable del idioma, tanto a nivel
de vocabulario, sintaxis, gramática, comunicación, destrezas,
etc. Si un estudiante es constante durante este período, su
crecimiento estará asegurado. ¿Te parece un tiempo muy
corto o muy largo para poder dominar un idioma?

RECOMENDACIONES
Esta semana te traigo una recomendación corta y divertida. Es un mini juego para cuando
tengas unos minutos libres. Piensa en el nombre de una persona importante para ti y crea
un acróstico. Para cada letra del nombre debes pensar en una palabra en el idioma que
estás aprendiendo. Si quieres llevar el juego al siguiente nivel, aplica la siguiente
restricción: todas las palabras deben pertenecer a la misma categoría gramatical, es decir,
todas deben ser verbos, sustantivos, adjetivos, etc. Si quieres ir más allá, todas las palabras
deben pertenecer al mismo campo léxico, es decir, todas deben ser nombres de animales,
frutas, prendas de vestir, etc. Es muy interesante y te obliga a reutilizar el vocabulario que
has aprendido.
This week, I bring you a short and fun recommendation.
It’s a mini-game for when you have a few spare
minutes. Think of the name of someone important to you
and create an acrostic. For each letter of the name,
come up with a word in the language you’re learning. If
you want to take the game to the next level, apply this
restriction: all the words must belong to the same
grammatical category, meaning they should all be
verbs, nouns, adjectives, etc. If you want to go even
further, all the words should belong to the same lexical
field, such as names of animals, fruits, clothing, etc. It’s
very engaging and forces you to reuse the vocabulary
you’ve learned.
