¿Qué son los adjetivos posesivos?

Los adjetivos posesivos se usan junto con sustantivos para indicar quién es dueño o posee ese sustantivo. A diferencia de
los pronombres posesivos, los adjetivos posesivos no reemplazan al sustantivo: en cambio, el adjetivo aparece antes del sustantivo.
En inglés, los adjetivos posesivos cambian según el género y persona gramatical de quien es dueño o posee el sustantivo.

¿Cómo se usan los adjetivos posesivos en inglés?

En inglés, no importan los detalles del sustantivo que es poseído para saber qué adjetivo posesivo usar. Por ejemplo, si algo
pertenece a Ángela, siempre debes usar el adjetivo posesivo her, ya sea que hables de un libro o de un millón, de un coche, un gato o
una casa: en todos los casos debes usar her.

¡Esto es muy distinto de lo que sucede en español! Presta atención a los diferentes usos de “su”.
 Her book is on the table ("Su libro está en la mesa")
 His house is here. ("Su casa está aquí")
 Its paw is so tiny! ("¡Su pata es tan pequeña!")
