Nota: Instale una nueva junta de metal con la geometría elevada hacia arriba.

1. Instale la junta, el sello de junta tórica y el conjunto del cubo (175).

2. Aplicar la herramienta (E) a las roscas de los pernos (172).

3. Coloque la junta, la carcasa (173) y 11 pernos (172). Apriete los pernos (172) a un par de torsión de
28 ± 7 Nm (247 ± 61 lb in) en una secuencia alternada con una separación de 180 grados. Luego,
vuelva a apretar los pernos (172) para confirmar el par de torsión.
Nota: Asegúrese de que el orificio en la ubicación (X) esté libre de residuos y que la luz pueda pasar
a través de él.

4. Instale el sello de anillo (174) en la orientación que se muestra en la Ilustración 5. Lubrique


ligeramente el sello de anillo (174) con el fluido que se va a sellar.

Nota: Tenga en cuenta el tamaño y la ubicación de los pernos del procedimiento de desmontaje.

5. Instale el cojinete de rodillos dentro de la carcasa (171) de modo que quede al ras de la parte
superior de la carcasa. Instale la junta, la carcasa (171) y los pernos (170).
Nota: No sustituya las arandelas ya que se producirán interferencias.

6. Apriete los dos tornillos M8 de los pernos (170) a un torque de 28 ± 7 Nm (247 ± 61 lb in) .

7. Apriete los seis pernos M10 de los pernos (170) a un torque de 55 ± 10 N·m (41 ± 7 lb ft) .

8. Coloque los sellos anulares (169) y (168). Lubrique ligeramente los sellos anulares (169) y (168) con
el fluido que se va a sellar.
Nota: Asegúrese de que el cojinete (167) esté instalado con la tira de identificación azul visible.

9. Instalar el cojinete (167).

ligeramente el sello anular (166) y el sello anular (165) con el líquido que se va a sellar.

ligeramente el sello anular (162) y el sello anular (161) con el líquido que se va a sellar.

17. Instale el pasador de resorte (156) en el conjunto de placa (154) a una distancia de dimensión (Y).

18. Coloque el sello anular (157) en el conjunto de placa (154). Utilice la herramienta (S) para hacer
rodar el sello anular (157). Lubrique el sello anular (157) con la herramienta (F).
Nota: El sello de anillo rodante (157) con la herramienta (S) garantiza que el sello de anillo (157)
esté asentado completamente. Si no se lubrica o asienta correctamente el sello de anillo (157), se
pueden producir daños durante la instalación.

El montaje incorrecto de piezas accionadas por resorte puede


provocar lesiones corporales.

Para evitar posibles lesiones, siga el procedimiento de montaje


establecido y utilice equipo de protección.

Nota: Se recomienda utilizar las clavijas de alineación para alinear la carcasa cuando se baja a su
lugar, lo que reduce el riesgo de que los resortes se desprendan durante el ensamblaje.
20. Instale el conjunto de placa (154).
Nota: Alinee la espiga del pistón de baja ganancia con el orificio en el conjunto de la placa (154).

21. Coloque cuatro pernos (153) espaciados uniformemente en forma de cruz y ajústelos hasta que el
cubo quede al ras de la carcasa. Coloque los 22 pernos restantes (153).

22. Coloque los sellos anulares en el conjunto del eje principal (152). Lubrique ligeramente los sellos
anulares con el líquido que se va a sellar.

28. Install ring seals (147). Lubricate ring seals (147) lightly with the fluid that is being sealed.
Note: Ensure that bearing (145) is installed with the blue identification strip visible.

32. Alternately install three friction discs (142) and three clutch plates (141) starting with friction disc
(142). Install the retaining ring.

33. Apply Tooling (E) to the threads of set screw (137).

34. Install pin (138) and set screw (137). Align set screw with the hole in pin (138). Tighten set screw
(137) to a torque of 12 ± 3 N·m (106 ± 27 lb in).
Note: If installed correctly, set screw (137) will be recessed past the root of the splines of rotating
housing (139). Do not overtighten set screw (137).

35. Repeat Step 33 and Step 34 for the opposite side.

36. If necessary, use Tooling (K) to install sleeve bearing (136). Install sleeve bearing (136).

37. Install ring seal (139A) onto rotating housing (139). Lubricate ring seal (139A) lightly with the fluid that
is being sealed.

38. Install outer ring seal (134A) onto piston (134). Lubricate the outer ring seal lightly with the fluid that is
being sealed.

40. Install two springs (132) opposing and stacked. Install plate (133).

Improper assembly of parts that are spring loaded can cause


bodily injury.

To prevent possible injury, follow the established assembly


procedure and wear protective equipment.

Note: Progressing too much at a time will cause the springs to slide, thus causing the piston to cock
one side. Once the piston has bottomed out, the edge of the piston will be flush to the top of the
housing.

Note: Start with four screws located 90 degrees apart from each other and slowly tighten them until
just contacting the piston by hand without compressing the piston. Then tighten further down
alternating across 180 degrees from each other to slowly compress the springs. Progressing too
much at a time will cause the springs to slide, thus causing the piston to cock one side. Once the
piston has bottomed out, the edge of the piston will be flush to the top of the housing. Install the
remaining bolts and torque all bolts to specification.

41. Apply Tooling (E) to the threads of screws (130).

42. Install balance piston (131) and screws (130). Tighten screws (130) in the sequence called out in the
above note to a torque of 13 ± 3 N·m (115 ± 27 lb in).

43. Repeat Step 37 through Step 42 for the opposite side.

44. Apply Tooling (F) to secure eight thrust buttons (135) to the clutch piston assembly.

46. Remove two screws (130) that are 180° apart from the piston assembly and attach a suitable lifting

lightly with the lubricant that is being sealed. Tighten screws (130) removed from the piston assembly
to a torque of 13 ± 3 N·m (115 ± 27 lb in).

47. Install bearing (118) into gear (119).

48. Install gear (119), thrust washers (120), and (117) into carrier (121).

49. Install shaft (115) into carrier (121).

50. Install spring pin (116) into shaft (115) flush with the carrier assembly. Remove and dispose the
rubber shavings from spring pin (116) after installation.

51. Repeat Step 47 through Step 50 for the remaining gear assemblies.

52. Position retaining ring (111). Compress retaining ring (111) and install gear (112). Install retaining ring
(111).

53. Apply Tooling (F) to the grooves and ring seals (113) to keep ring seals (113) secure to the carrier
assembly when installing. Install ring seals (113).
Note: Tooling (F) is critical in preventing damage to ring seals (113) during the carrier installation.

54. Position carrier assembly (109). Install Tooling (J) onto carrier assembly (109). Turn the latch 1/4 turn
to lock the latch. Screw Tooling (J) to carrier assembly (109). Turn the handles evenly until carrier
assembly (109) bottoms out and the retaining ring groove becomes visible. The groove will be slightly
recessed.
Note: Even downward pressure will prevent ring seals (113) from dislodging from carrier assembly
(109).

55. Position retaining ring (110) over the shaft next to the groove.
Note: Lifting slightly on the center shaft from the bottom will allow the retaining ring to be installed into
the groove. Slightly tap the retaining ring in place. Do not lift on the center shaft by installing an eye
bolt on top as damage may occur to the shaft.

56. Install seals (111a). Lubricate seals (111a) lightly with the lubricant that is being sealed.

57. Install eight thrust buttons (114).


Note: Note the quantity and the order of clutch plates (125) and friction discs (126) from disassembly
procedure.

58. Alternately install four clutch plates (125) and four friction discs (126) starting with clutch plate (125).

70. Install the ring seal onto plate (98). Lubricate the ring seal lightly with the fluid that is being sealed.

71. Lubricate the O-ring seal and the shaft lightly with fluid that is being sealed. Install the O-ring seal and
plate (98).
Note: Do not use old retaining ring (96). Install a new retaining ring (96).

72. Use Tooling (D) to compress plate (98). Compress plate (98) and install retaining ring (96). Slowly
decompress Tooling (D) and remove Tooling (D).

92. Attach Tooling (U) and a suitable lifting device to transmission housing (73). The weight of
transmission housing (73) is approximately 113 kg (250 lb).

93. Install the gasket onto the planetary assembly.

94. Remove transmission housing (73) from Tooling (A) (not shown) and position level onto the planetary
assembly.
Note: Location pins line the housing up to the manifold.

Note: To properly assemble pump, first check the pump by rotating the center gear clockwise, free of
the transmission planetary. The pump should spin clockwise freely, with same resistance in the
disassembled state and the assembled state. Torque a single bolt and check the spin of the center
gear, and repeat until all bolts are torqued. Then tighten bolts a second time confirming torque and
doing one final check that the center pump gear spins freely with all bolts fully tightened.
146. Install pump (4) and bolts (3).
Note: Ensure that the pump is fully seated.

147. Install the gasket, cover (7), bolts (5), and bolts (6). Tighten bolts (5) and (6) to the torque, start, and
stop sequence as shown in Illustration 91.

148. Assure the gear teeth on pump (4) rotates freely. Retighten bolts (5) and (6) to confirm the torque.

149. Use two people to install housing (2). The weight of housing (2) is approximately 21 kg (46 lb).

150. Install the gasket, housing (2), the clips, the washers, and bolts (1).
Note: Note the location of the transmission wiring harness and any associated brackets from the
disassembly procedure.

151. Install the transmission wiring harness and the associated brackets.
Note: The torque converter is easier to install with cover (2) removed.

Nota: Al instalar el convertidor de par, es necesario alinear las estrías internas con el eje central del
planetario y las lengüetas de transmisión del convertidor de par con las lengüetas de entrada de la
bomba de transmisión. Para facilitar el montaje, marque en la carcasa de la bomba la ubicación de
