I live in a house near the mountains. I have two brothers and one sister, and I was born last.
My father teaches mathematics, and my mother is a nurse at a big hospital. My brothers are
very smart and work hard in school. My sister is a nervous girl, but she is very kind. My
grandmother also lives with us. She came from Italy when I was two years old. She has grown
old, but she is still very strong. She cooks the best food!
My family is very important to me. We do lots of things together. My brothers and I like to go
on long walks in the mountains. My sister likes to cook with my grandmother. On the weekends
we all play board games together. We laugh and always have a good time. I love my family

Actividad: Realiza la siguiente actividad. Construye T
HABILIDADES SOCIOEMOCIONALES
1. En equipos de dos o tres personas, uno será el director de escena y los otros serán
actores.
2. El director de escena será quien tiene las tarjetas de manejo de enojo, boca
abajo para no verlas.
3. INSTRUCCIONES
 Piensen en una escena en la que sucede algo en la que enoja mucho a
uno de los personajes y éste explota lleno de ira o bien se queda enojado
después de lo que sucede.
Prepárenla muy brevemente y actúen la escena completa.
 Vuélvanla a actuar y al llegar al momento en el que la persona “explota”
o bien cuando la persona se queda muy enojada después, el director
dice ¡corte! Y le da una de las tarjetas de control de enojo (sin ver cual
es).
 Vuelvan a actuar la escena de acuerdo a lo que sugiere la tarjeta y
repítanlo dos veces con tarjetas diferentes, si el tiempo lo permite.
 Finalmente los directores de escena pasan al centro y durante dos
minutos comparten que les pareció interesante o útil de este ejercicio,
basados con lo que esperaron.
 Al finalizar la actividad contesta las siguientes preguntas ¿Cómo seré una
mejor persona? ¿Cómo seremos una mejor comunidad?

LISTA DE LOS GERUNDIOS E INFINITIVOS MÁS IMPORTANTES EN INGLÉS

Hoy, una lista de gerundios en inglés… y también los verbos en infinitivo para comparar.

El gerundio, como todos sabemos, se usa para formar los tiempos continuos como el presente continuo.

También es una parte importante de los verb patterns.

Y también se usa como sujeto de la frase si lo pones al principio de la frase.

El gerundio se forma con el sufijo -ing. Hay unas pequeñas reglas de ortografía que hay que seguir para

duplicar una consonante final o quitar una -e silenciosa.

Pero más que nada hay que saber los verbos más importantes… y así tenemos esta lista de gerundios en

inglés.

Fíjate que solo hay un par de reglas de ortografía: quitar una “e” que no suena para poner el -ing, o

duplicar una consonante para mantener el sonido de la palabra.

Zero article

El zero article consiste básicamente en la ausencia de artículo. En utilizar un nombre sin hacerlo
acompañar de artículo alguno.
Solamente se puede emplear cuando el nombre en cuestión sea incontable o plural. Así pues,
recapitulando, los nombres contables singulares llevan el artículo indeterminado a/an mientras que tanto
los incontables como los contables plurales pueden ir acompañados por el artículo determinado the o
por el zero article.

Diferencias entre the y zero article

Si recordáis, decíamos que el artículo indeterminado a/an se utilizaba para referirnos a algo sin
especificar qué. El zero article guarda una cierta relación con ello.
La diferencia entre the y la ausencia de artículo es que el primero se refiere a cosas concretas mientras
que el segundo habla de cosas en general. Vamos a ver algunos ejemplos para que lo podáis entender
mejor:
Do you like music?
Aquí el instinto español nos pediría decir do you like the music?, pero esto no sería correcto, ya que nos
estamos refiriendo a la música en general y no a ninguna música en particular. En cambio:
Could you stop the music?

En este segundo ejemplo, sí estamos hablando de una música en concreto, que sería la que se supondría
que está sonando ahora mismo. Por ello, aquí sí que sería correcto usar el artículo.

Children are a bit irritating sometimes.

Aquí hablamos de una cualidad que se refiere a los niños de forma global, sin individualizar. Sin embargo:

Where are the children?

Aquí sí hablaríamos de un grupo de niños en particular, en vez de hablar del conjunto global de niños.

En conclusión, al ir a usar nombres en inglés, intentad recordar esta pequeña regla, pensando en si el
sustantivo que vais a utilizar se refiere a algo en global o a algo en particular. Procurad no trasladar
directamente lo que diríais en español, ya que en este caso os va a hacer cometer errores.

St. Patrick’s Day is a cultural and religious celebration and national holiday which takes place annually on
17 March. The day is most known for its raucous celebrations, parades and all-around parties.

The event itself is celebrated in more countries around the world than any other national festival and it
promises to be a day to remember.

Saying that, here are the top 10 things NOT to do on St. Patrick’s Day in Ireland.

10. Wear Only an Irish flag

Dressing up is standard on St. Patrick’s Day and you will be spoiled for choice when it comes to patriotic
garb on sale.

Whether you’re in the market for a tricolour flag, an Irish hat, crowns or a leprechaun costume, the options
will be endless.

Saying that, remember it is March in Ireland. Not only is it likely to be chilly as hell, but impromptu showers
of rain are also common.

Wrap up good and add dress-up items for accent. Whatever you do, don’t fashion a dress out of a flag
and freeze to death!

9. Don’t Pinch Each Other

This is a St. Patrick’s Day tradition that – although has been cited as being a story from folklore – it is not
well observed by nationals, so we caution to avoid.

The concept states that people should wear green on St. Patrick’s Day. By wearing this colour, you
supposedly become invisible to leprechauns – who love to pinch people.

If you don’t wear green on St. Patrick’s Day sources say you’re likely to receive a bucketload of pinches.

Saying that this isn’t something that is popular in Ireland so we vote you steer clear of it!

8. Don’t Wear a “kiss me I’m Irish” Shirt and Expect to Get Lucky

It’s a shirt. It’s not a magic shirt. And also, it’s lame as hell.

7. Go to a busy parade

Many people come to Ireland from near and far to see the parades. Our advice though? If it’s a really
busy one, like the one in central Dublin, go to a smaller town or steer clear!

There’s lots of parades around Ireland to choose from.

It’s not only a source for serious crowd-control but it’ll be a nightmare to get to and from.

Vantage points are limited also, making it frustrating unless you arrive insanely early.

6. Drink in Public

It may be Paddy’s Day but the Irish police (the Garda) will be out en masse so you don’t want to get in
trouble with the law.

Following on from #6, if you’re celebrating St. Patrick’s Day in Ireland, don’t ignore the laws.

The only way you could look sillier in your leprechaun get-up is being arrested in your leprechaun get-up.

Also, remember to be careful the next day. Don’t drive in the morning if you have been drinking a lot the
night before.

roads will be closed down for the day.

If you’re coming from afar to stay in a city for the festival, we vote you book central accommodation.

Choose somewhere close enough that it will be walking distance to all the mayhem but far enough away
from it that you won’t be kept up all night.

2. Disrespect the People and the Place

Many people come from all over the world to Ireland to experience St. Patrick’s Day.

It is a fantastic festival and there will be tonnes of fun things to do all over the country.

Whatever you do though, don’t disrespect the local people or the places you visit.

Not only is that a sure-fire way to get kicked out of venues but you’re not likely to make many friends,
either.

1. Be a Drunken Lout

Although it is undeniable that St. Patrick’s Day is marketed as being a booze-fest, the worst thing you want
to do is be a drunken lout.

Whatever you do, don’t be wasted by lunchtime. There will be increased security in all bars and pubs and
you’re likely to end up in the back of a Paddywagon (a police car) or kicked of every venue you try to
enter.
