DTC PO773:00 [FW6A-EL] ON/OFF SOLENOID REMOVAL/INSTALLATION [FW6A-EL] sM1297870 ido517h1117100 Warning + Ahot transaxle and ATF can cause severe burns. Turn off the engine and wait until they are cool. * Always wear protective eye wear when using the air compressor. If the air compressor is used, eny particles of dirt or sludge could spatter and get into the eyes. 1.Disconnect the negative battery cable. (See NEGATIVE BATTERY CABLE DISCONNECTION/CONNECTION [SKYACTIV-G 2.0, SKYACTIV-G 2.5].) 2,Remove the front under cover No.2, (See FRONT UNDER COVER No,2 REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.) 3.Clean the transaxle exterior throughout with a steam cleaner or cleaning solvents. 4.Drain the ATF. (See AUTOMATIC TRANSAXLE FLUID (ATE) REPLACEMENT (FW6A-EL].) 5,Remove the oil pan. Caution * To avoid damaging the control valve body, if there is a large amount of foreign material at the bottom of the oil pan when the oil pan is removed, replace the oil strainer with a new one, # If there is not a large amount of foreign material at the bottom of the oil pan, the oil strainer does not have to be replaced Note + Always use new oil pan installation bolts when re-installing the oll pan because the oil pan installation bolts cannot be reused, 6.Disconnect the ON/OFF solenoid connector. Note * Disconnect the ON/OFF solenoid connector by pressing the connector tab with your fingers. [= FONT ‘am3uuw00008388, 7,Remove the ON/OFF solenoid. a ‘SOLENOID « 8.Install the ON/OFF solenoid. a ‘SOLENOID od amSuuw00008369 Tightening torque 9-10 Nem {92—101 kgfiem, 80-88 in {9.Connect the ON/OFF solenoid connector. ‘am3uuw00008368, 10.Apply a light coat of silicone sealant (TB1217E or equivalent) to the contact surfaces of the oll pan and transaxle case. am3uuw00008281 Caution * Clean any remaining silicone sealant on the contact surface of the transaxle case and oil pan, and degrease the sealant area, Otherwise, oll could leak. 111 Install the oil pan with new bolts before the applied sealant starts to harden. am@zzw00012181 Tightening torque 8-10 Nem {82—101 kgfiem, 71-88 in-Ibf} 12.Add the ATF.
