1/ OBJETIVO DE LA PRUEBA
El test rápido de antígenos para SARS-CoV-2 es una prueba inmunocromatográfica de un solo paso para la
detección cualitativa de antígenos de nucleoproteína de SARS-CoV-2 a partir de muestras de hisopos
nasofaríngeos procedentes de pacientes sospechosos de infección por COVID-19. Test fabricado por
Panbio™ COVID-19 Ag Rapid Test (Abbott Rapid Diagnostics)
2/ ANÁLISIS REALIZADO - METODOLOGÍA
1 | Obtención de la muestra: Hisopado nasofaríngeo.
2 | Procesamiento:
_ Mezclar y homogeneizar haciendo rotar el hisopo en el vial de extracción.
_ Dispensar 3-5 gotas del vial de extracción en la ventana S del test.
_ Leer el resultado a los 15 minutos
3 | Interpretación de resultados:
NEGATIVO (verde): No hay presencia de antígeno SARS-CoV-2 en la muestra.
POSITIVO (verde-rojo): Hay presencia de antígeno SARS-CoV-2 en la muestra. La presencia
de estas líneas (línea verde de control y roja de test), independientemente de su intensidad
debería ser considerado como resultado positivo
INVÁLIDO (cualquier otro resultado): Resultado inválido, se recomienda repetir la prueba
con la misma muestra y otro test.
_ Sensibilidad: 91.4% y Especificidad: 99.8%
Los resultados negativos no excluyen la infección por SARS-CoV-2 y deben combinarse con observaciones clínicas,
historial del paciente e información epidemiológica.

1/ OBJECTIVE OF THE STUDY
One step SARS-CoV-2 card test is a coloured chromatographic immunoassay for the qualitative detection
of nucleoprotein antigen of SARS-CoV-2 from nasopharyngeal swab samples from patients suspected of
COVID-19 infection. Panbio™ COVID-19 Ag Rapid Test (Abbott Rapid Diagnostics) manufactured this
test.
2/ ANALYSIS CARRIED OUT - METHODOLOGY
1 | Specimen collection:: Nasopharyngeal swab.
2 | Test procedure:
_ Mix and homogenize the reagent respiratory by rotating the swab forcefully against the side of
the tube.
_ Dispense 3 drops from the pipette into the circular window marked with the letter S of CerTest
SARS-CoV-2
_ Read the results at 15 minutes
3 | Interpretation of results:
NEGATIVE (green): There is no SARS-CoV-2 antigen presence in the sample.
POSITIVE (green-red): There is SARS-CoV-2 antigen presence in the sample. The presence of
these lines (control green line and test red line), independent of their intensity should be
considered as a positive result.
INVALID (Any other result): Invalid result, we recommend repeating the assay using the
same sample with another test.
_ Sensitivity: 91.4% y Specificity: 99.8%
Negative results do not exclude SARS-CoV-2 infection and should be combined with clinical observations, patient
history and epidemiological information.
