For mordanting vegetable fibers with copper sulphate for 453 g of fiber take 3 gallons of warm water and
85-113g of copper sulphate.
Use 4-5% WOF (weight of fiber) per 100 grams of fiber to dye. Dissolve in copper in hot water. Let the
fiber sit in the copper solution overnight, stirring occasionally to mordant, or you can heat the copper
mordant solution for 1-2 hours, keeping it below a simmer.
Pomegranate skin is both a mordant and a source of nice yellow.

100g fiber + 2 grams soda ash
Se disuelve el washing soda en agua caliente, se pone en un sarten y se va subiendo poco a poco la
temperatura. 180 por 30 min. Se retira la tela, se lava con agua fría y listo.
1.- Soya/ acts as a scouring
1/5 soja por 4/5 de agua - 2 litros agua por medio litro de soja 12-24 horas. Se escurre en la sombra.
Ya secado, se mete de nuevo la tela en la soya, se seca. Se repite 3 veces. Se deja curar.
2.- Mordant
100 g fiber
20 g Alumbre
Se disuelve el alumbre en agua hervida, se pone a hervir la tela con el alumbre, se coce por 45 minutos,
se mueve. Se puede quitar la tela al enfriar o se puede dejar toda la noche. Se tiñe.
