APTITUD DE USO DE LOS SUELOS
La Capacidad de Uso Mayor (CUM) es un sistema interpretativo de los
estudios de suelos, con la ayuda de:
• Información climática (zonas vida) y
• Información de relieve.
al ser de carácter interpretativo, traduce el lenguaje puramente científico de los
levantamientos (estudios) de suelos a un lenguaje de orden práctico
•Edáficas (Suelos): Pendiente,
profundidad efectiva, textura, fragmentos
gruesos, pedregosidad superficial,
drenaje interno, pH, erosión, salinidad,
peligro de anegamiento y fertilidad
natural superficial.
•Climáticas: Precipitación, temperatura,
evapotranspiración, todas influenciadas
por la altitud y latitud. Todas ellas son
consideradas en las zonas de vida
(Holdridge).
