In this way, you will avoid any extremely unpleasant surprises and hazards; Check that the device supplied corresponds to what you orde- red, If this isnot the case, do not throw your packaging away, note the order number and inform ELAUT. ‘Test the keys supplied on all the locks and note the numbers for any later orders. ‘ELAUT INSTALLATION STRUCTIONS CONNECTION & INSTALLATION Every device is supplied with a Euro electrical plug and, unless otherwise stated, is set to 230 V 50 Hz. Before connecting the device to the mains, check that the ‘mains voltage corresponds to that of the device. ‘The devices may only be connected to power distribution boxes with circuits fitted with a 30 mA circuit-breaker. ELAUT SAFETY STIPULATIONS Check the glass after each transportation. Safety stipaations must in al cases be given top priority ‘Damaged cabinets or cabinets with broken glass or damaged (Ge specifi, local and general safety precautions and clectrical mains cables cannot be used! regulations). Ps ‘The Eurograb drive module (control box) Description: ‘This drive module can be use filly disconnected by means of plugs. Itconsists of major parts (ee diagram on page 8) ‘Az the supply and transformer along with the appropriate fuses ‘an input voliage of 230V +/- 10% is required for correct, operation the output voltages are _ SV (for microcontroller) 12V (for interface and control) 24V (for motor and grabber) for this purpose, an indicator LED is fitted tothe front panel. Inthe event of a faulty fuse, the indicator for the appropriate part remains extinguished fuses: 230-16 AT 24.V-2.5 AT on front panel 12V-16 AT 5V-0.8AT NEVER replace with afuse other than the specified type! Bthe drive unit (printed boa) with microcontroller and connection. ‘This drive ensure the control and operation ofthe PLC-ope- rated grab-crane: = control of display ~ control of motors, grab-crane and control switches + sound = service and coin testing + connection of setting unit ~ (connection for computer communication) ELAUT || POSSIBILITIES OF EUROGRAB INSTRUCTIONS FOR USE: ‘the mode of operation i set according to the customer speci fications and can be modified by a technician. All these possibilities can be combined with a grab ‘regulation setting which operates with percentage ‘calculations or (bonus). 1: Two-way pushbuttons the gantry goes forward once, once to the side and the grabber drops automatically. 2: Two-way special pushbuttons the gantry can move forward several times, once to the side, and the grabber drops automatically. 3: Four-way joystick the gantry can move in all directions until the user presses the fire button causing the grabber to drop. 4: Two-way joystick the gantry can move forward and sideways one step at a time, and the grabber drops when the fire button is pressed. In this case, setting 5 is used for units and setting 6 for tens. ‘Together, these settings form the complete figure (between O and 100). eg. setting 5 at 5 and setting 6 at 3 results in 35. ‘The grabber in this case will only be activated if 35 games are played. Setting 3 can even be lower, so that no prizes can be won until the preset mumber of games has been played. INFORMATION ON COMMERCIALIZATION The location and appearance of a game cabinet can form part of an attractive environment which is very important when endeavouring to attract customers. inthis respect, several game cabinets arranged in sets can be additionally attractive. (our largest customer has 50 x 3 cabinets in one amusement arcade!) Important element for effective commercialization: Do you have the correct grabber?: Targe objects = jumbo grabber (20 ohm coil) ‘small objects = small grabber (30 ohm coil) watches = aluminium grabber (30 ohm coil) The claws ofthe grabber must "play" with the object itis not sufficient for the claw to take or not take the object the correct way is to have the grabber grasp the object and drop it Tuning the grabber and configuring the microcontroller, A/ tuning the grabber: make sure thatthe prize can be picked up by the grabber Prior to tuning, put the microcontroller settings 1, 2 and 4 o ero and setting 3 to 9 a for small objects: bend the grabber claws for small objects, as shown in fig 1, and adjust the setting ring (fig 2 and 3.) Make sure that, when releasing the object, the grabber does not remain open after the prize has fallen out. If this happens, put setting 1 one step higher so that the grabber closes once the prize falls. C/ now put setting 4 to 1. To see the number of prizes wihich ave been won, press pushbutton S2 twice, Because the display can only show 2 characters simultaneously, the amounts are shown in several parts, the ‘otal amount of money inserted is shown in 3 groups: 8, group 1 group 2 group 3 58 42° 63 = 58.4263 the number of prizes won appears in 2 groups ‘%8, group 1 group 2 18 74 = 1874 prizes won | The display blinks whenever a group changes.
