1: Two-way pushbuttons
the gantry goes forward once, once to the side and the
grabber drops automatically.
2: Two-way special pushbuttons
the gantry can move forward several times, once to the
side, and the grabber drops automatically.
3: Four-way joystick
the gantry can move in all directions until the user
presses the fire button causing the grabber to drop.
4: Two-way joystick
the gantry can move forward and sideways one step at a
time, and the grabber drops when the fire button is
pressed.

BONUS (optionally!)
‘After 'X games the grabber must grab firmly.
In this case, setting 5 is used for units and setting 6 for tens.
‘Together, these settings form the complete figure (between O
and 100).
eg. setting 5 at 5 and setting 6 at 3 results in 35.
‘The grabber in this case will only be activated if 35 games
are played.
Setting 3 can even be lower, so that no prizes can be won
until the preset mumber of games has been played.INFORMATION ON COMMERCIALIZATION
The location and appearance of a game cabinet can form part
of an attractive environment which is very important when
endeavouring to attract customers.
inthis respect, several game cabinets arranged in sets can be
additionally attractive.
(our largest customer has 50 x 3 cabinets in one amusement
arcade!)
Important element for effective commercialization:
Do you have the correct grabber?:
Targe objects = jumbo grabber (20 ohm coil)
‘small objects = small grabber (30 ohm coil)
watches = aluminium grabber (30 ohm coil)
The claws ofthe grabber must "play" with the object
itis not sufficient for the claw to take or not take the
object
the correct way is to have the grabber grasp the object and
drop it
Tuning the grabber and configuring the microcontroller,
A/ tuning the grabber:
make sure thatthe prize can be picked up by the grabber
Prior to tuning, put the microcontroller settings 1, 2 and 4

B/ Settings 1 and 2 can now be adapted so that the prize is
grasped and then the grabber releases it again,
‘f the prize still falls from the grabber at the weakest setting,
the grabber claws must be bent some more, or the setting ring
should be set higher (fg 1 - fig 3). Make sure that, when
releasing the object, the grabber does not remain open after the
prize has fallen out. If this happens, put setting 1 one step
higher so that the grabber closes once the prize falls.
C/ now put setting 4 to 1. The percentage or bonus regulator
will now be operational, and this will determine whether
the grabber has a hard or soft grasp of the object.

READING OF ELECTRONIC COUNTERS:
‘The grab-crane has two electronic counters:
total coins inserted (6 characters - in 3 x readings)
-sumber of prizes which have been won (4 characters - in 2 x
readings)
The setting unit must be used to read these counters.
‘Toread the total amount of money which has been inserted,
|| press pushbutton S2 once. To see the number of prizes wihich
ave been won, press pushbutton S2 twice,
Because the display can only show 2 characters
simultaneously, the amounts are shown in several parts, the
‘otal amount of money inserted is shown in 3 groups:

the number of prizes won appears in 2 groups
‘%8, group 1 group 2

BACKUP MEMORY:
‘The following data are stored in a backup memory:
electronic "total money inserted” counter
electronic “total prizes won" counter
percentage or bonus regulator
-all settings
number of credits (games) not yet awarded to the player
-the number of counts still tobe added to the mechanical
‘counters
This backup is made whenever the grab-crane is switched off
or in the event of a power-cut.
‘However, this does not occur after the system breaks down due
