Infiow of liquid Head Desired pump capacity Size of the pump sump Size and length of discharge pipe, number of bends and valves, ett., for calculation of pressure losses A\ WARNING! Never enter the hand into the pump housing. Respect limitations ‘* The pump must not be submerged to more than 20 metresi65 feet, IP-68. ‘The temperature of the medium must not exceed 40° C/103° F. ‘The pH-value should be between 5 and 8. Excessively long cables cause voltage drops that can result in malfunctions. Maintenance Maintenance must be carried out after each tme the pump is used and should cover tha following points: ‘* Flush the pump clean outside and in. The insida of the pump is flushed by way of the hose con- action or through the inspection cover (in the case of sludge pumps). * Inspect the cable, A\WARNING! ifthe cable shally is damaged and the cable is lowered into the water, the connection space may te filed with ‘water: If the cable is damaged it has tn be reniaced. * Check that the head of the pump corresponds with the given data. The easiest way to do this is to use a pressure gauge. Stockholding Before the pump is returned to store it should be put throigh maintenance as above. Accessories For all Grindex pumps there is a sefies of accesso- ries that will expand their serviceability. You will find the detais ina separate accessory brochure. ASk your nearest Grindex representative to supply you with one. Connecting pumps in series In order to achieve greater pumping heads you can connect two or mare Grindex drainage pumps in series. For this purpose, a series connecting flange is available as an accessory (see the separate publication on accessories). Conversion kits Grindex drainage pumps come in the following versions: low-pressure (L). normal-pressure (N) arid figh-pressure (H). With a conversion kit, a pump can easily be converted from one version to another, GRINDE%X [Grindex AB | Box 538 | SE-136 25 Haninge | Sweden Tel: +46 8 606 66 00 email: grindex@ grinde Fax: +46 8 745 16 06
