una altura de unos 1,798 metros sobre el
nivel del mar.

León limita al norte con el municipio de

San Felipe, al este con Guanajuato y

Romita y San Francisco del Rincón y al
oeste limita con los municipios de
Purísima, Lagos de Moreno y la Unión de

La primera presencia española armada en el

territorio fue el 2 de febrero de 1530, en el
que Nuño de Guzmán y sus aliados tarascas
vadearon el Lerma por Conguripo,
llamándolo rio “de Nuestra Señora”.

La consolidación agrícola y ganadera se

inició en el año 1546, con estancias
concedidas por el Gobernador de Nueva
Galicia, Vázquez de Coronado a los
españoles Rodrigo de Vázquez y Juan de
Jasso. Los chichimecas al verse invadidos
mantuvieron un estado de guerra contra los
españoles. Éstos solicitarían a las
autoridades virreinales la fundación de un
poblado mayor para tener una mejor

Orozco fundo la villa de León el 20 de enero
de 1576.

A los indígenas se les agrupó en dos

Con una idea de su nombre, los tacos de
aire son tacos fritos sin nada dentro, pero
generalmente se acompañan de salsa de
jitomate. Como en la mayoría de las
botanas callejeras, se pueden preparar al
gusto, con aguacate, cueritos de puerco,
salsa, sal y limón.
Son muy famosos y una buena opción
para botanear.

Una obra maestra leonesa. Es un aderezo
hecho con ajo, vinagre y chile que se utiliza
para acompañar a la pizza, y en ocasiones
también a las papas fritas.
Como los platillos anteriores, es un platillo
originado en León, pero a diferencia de los
demás este se puede encontrar únicamente en
León. Se puede conseguir en cualquier pizzería
o inclusive en supermercados.

LECHUGUILLAS
レチュギタス
Aguamiel de maguey muy refrescante que
se consume mayormente en los veranos.
Tristemente perdió popularidad en los
últimos años, pero anteriormente se
podían encontrar en todos lados, en
tiendas de conveniencia, en puestos de
periódicos, en cada esquina se podían
encontrar personas vendiendo agua de
lechuguilla.

CEBADINA
セバヂナ
Otra bebida muy popular, especialmente por
ser un buen remedio contra la indigestión.
Está hecha de bicarbonato de sodio y Jamaica
o tamarindo tradicionalmente, sin embargo, hoy
en día puedes encontrar una gran variedad de
sabores en varios puestos.

any pizzeria or even in supermarkets.

A refreshing maguey sap drink that is

figuras y hasta sabores.

Su precio puede variar de puesto a puesto

muchas veces existen ofertas como 10x20
pesos o 5x10, así que lleva suficiente dinero
para que puedas provar de todo.

hasta las 3 am, dependiendo del evento que
se lleve acabo ese día.

Cada juego tiene un costo diferente

normalmente ronda entre los 50 y los

recargando conforme la uses.

Esta es válida para todos los días que

dure la feria, únicamente durante ese
año ya cada año es una diferente. Su

entre los estados más violentos del país. Por
ello, queremos asegurarnos de que tu
estadía en la ciudad sea lo mejor posible, y
con la mayor precaución debida. Te
proporcionaremos algunos consejos que
reducirán el riesgo de hacerte pasar por una
mala experiencia.

1.- Evita salir con el celular en mano y a

simple vista. Un gran choque cultural que
hay en el aspecto social, es la inseguridad y
el riesgo de caminar con descuido mientras
portamos algún objeto valioso o aparato
electrónico.

2.- No dejes objetos de valor en el

interior de tu carro. Pareciera seguro y
sencillo dejar aparatos como computadoras
en la cajuela del auto, sin embargo, la
destreza de aquellos que delinquen les
permite detectar estos dispositivos para
después extraerlos rompiendo las ventanas
del vehículo.

3.- Toma gran precaución si planeas

salir por la noche, entre las 8p.m. y
5a.m.. Así como se han establecido
rigurosos horarios de trabajo para cualquier
puesto laboral, la frecuencia con la que se
presentan estos eventos de violencia y robo
han dado paso a que se cree un horario de
trabajo para los delincuentes.
