The Government of the Republic is promoting the development
of world-class strategic ports that leverage the privileged geo-

La industria en el Puerto de Altamira inició en 1965 con la insta-
lación de la primera planta Dupont (Hoy Chemours), que hoy en
día es líder global en la producción de Dióxido de Titanio, siendo
la única planta de su tipo en América Latina.

Asimismo, continuaron importantes inversiones como Ne-

gromex (Grupo Kuo) dedicada a la producción de hule sintético,
gracias al butadieno que se recibe en su terminal, siendo la ma-
