Hello Guys, welcome to the third English class of the second period. In this class we are going to study
the following topics: giving, asking and receiving information about preposition of place for people,
animal and things, in order to know the ubication of them and we will also study time´s expressions like
hours, days of the week and months of the year. It will be a class to learn in a practical and significative
way because there will be pronunciation and writing exercises. So, Let´s start
Hola , bienvenidos a la segunda clase de Inglés del segundo lapso.
En ésta clase se estudiarán los siguientes temas:
1. Pedir, dar y recibir información referente a las preposiciones de lugar
2. Información que implique idea de tiempo (hora, días de la semana y meses del año)
Será una clase para aprender de manera práctica y significativa debido a que se realizarán
ejercicios de pronunciación y prácticas escritas en Inglés. Así que iniciemos.

Se denominan preposiciones de lugar a aquellas expresiones que determinan la posición o ubicación de un
objeto o persona, la pregunta que en Inglés se usa para este tema es Where la cual se traduce como dónde y
permite preguntar sobre la ubicación de un objeto o persona y entre ellas se tienen:

It´s time to learn the time
En esta lección se estudiará como decir y preguntar de forma correcta la hora en inglés
con pronunciación, ejemplos y ejercicios. Así como también los meses del año y los días de la
semana. Lo más importante para este tema es recordar y aprender los números en Inglés
Vocabulary:
What time is it? ¿Qué hora es?
What’s the time? / ¿Qué hora es?
Aunque estas dos formas son diferentes, las dos significan lo mismo.
También en caso de preguntar la hora en una situación formal o a alguien que no conocemos, podríamos
utilizar:
Could you tell me what time it is, please? ¿Me podría por favor decir qué hora es?
¿Cómo decir la hora en inglés?
Existen varias formas de decir la hora en Inglés y todas las formas son apropiadas en todos los contextos.

It´s time to tell the En inglés se utiliza el pronombre it para decir la hora. A pesar de que en
time español no se usa un pronombre para decir la hora (por ejemplo: son las 3 de la tarde), en
inglés es necesario usar it. Ejemplos: it is 3 o´clock..

Con respecto a cuando la hora se encuentra en la mitad o cuando se dice la media hora
también se usan dos formas y el vocabulario a usar es Half (media) ejemplo
What´s the time?
It is eleven thirty or It is half past 11 / Son las 11 y media
It is eleven and half.
Otro aspecto a considerar al estudiar y aprender la hora en ingles es manejar la expresión to que al
espeñol indica que es para la hora siguiente, Es decir el faltante de minutos para la próxima hora. Ejemplo
25 para las 4 = it´s twenty five to three o it´s three thirty five
20 para las 4 = it´s twenty to four / It´s three forty
