Speaking B2: expresiones útiles para debatir

En esta sección te voy a dar una lista de expresiones útiles que podrás


utilizar en el Speaking B2 First (FCE) Part 3, de manera que puedas elegir
unas cuantas para intentar ponerlas en práctica cada vez que hagas esta
parte del examen oral. Vamos allá.
 Para comenzar el debate:
 Shall I start? / Yeah, go on.
 Shall I go first? / Of course, go ahead.
 Is it okay if I start? / Sure, no problem.
 Would you like to go first? / Yes, why not?
 Para expresar tu opinión:
 I believe/think that…
 In my opinion,…
 The way I see it,…
 If you ask me,…
 I would say that…
 It seems to me that…
 In my view…
 As far as I’m concerned,…
 Para preguntar a tu compañero:
 statement, don’t you think/agree?
 statement, wouldn’t you say so?
 statement , wouldn’t you agree?
 statement, right?
 Do you think…?
 Do you believe that…?
 What do you think about…?

 What’s your take on…?
 Para expresar acuerdo:
 I (totally) agree with you.
 You’re dead right.
 That’s (absolutely) true.
 You’re (absolutely) right.
 That’s a great idea.
 I couldn’t agree more.
 Yes, I see what you mean.
 I see it that way, too.
 Yes, of course.
 I think so, too.
 Para expresar desacuerdo: 
 I’m afraid I don’t see it the same way.
 I’m sorry but I have to disagree.
 You may be right, but I have a different view.
 That might be true, but I’m not sure I agree with
you.
 I’m sorry, but I don’t agree.
 Para cambiar de tema:

Consejos para el Speaking B2 First (FCE): Part 3
Veamos una serie de buenas prácticas que te ayudarán a superar la parte 3
del Speaking del FCE:

 Debate y pregunta, no hagas un monólogo.


 Justifica siempre tus opiniones.
 Intenta que la conversación no se centre únicamente en
una opción.
 Trabaja con tu compañero para que el debate sea fluido.
 Ayuda a tu compañero cuando lo necesite.
 Haz un esfuerzo por utilizar expresiones útiles para
interactuar.
 Haz que tus intervenciones sean concisas (breves) pero
efectivas.
 Céntrate en el tema que estáis tratando y no divagues
demasiado.
 Intenta acabar tus intervenciones con una pregunta a tu
compañero.
 Dirígete a tu compañero, no al examinador.
 ¡Sonríe! Una sonrisa siempre causa una mejor
impresión.
