Hello everyone! My name is Richard and I am from Sacaba in


Cochabamba Bolivia. I am in secondary level, fourth grade at Franz
Tamayo School in Chiñata town. My school is big. Every day we go to
school with our uniform and biosecurity equipment. Our dear school
janitor disinfects every student at the main door. Then we have to
disinfect our shoes on a foot bath. A�er that our school assistant

takes us the temperature. Then we come into the classrooms.

Students have social distance into the classrooms. I have one meter and a half around my desk. Every teacher
wears also biosecurity equipment. So, when my teacher calls a student to review homework, each student
takes his folder and puts it on the teacher´s desk and he stands with social distance un�l he finishes the review.

At the end of classes, we go home to have lunch with our families.

It is our daily life at school. Bye everybody!

Hi everybody! I´m Carmen. I am from Potosi in Bolivia. I live


in Chayanta, in the north of Potosí.

I always wake up at six in the morning. I wash my face with


a li�le water because it is always cold.

I put on my clothes and uniform to go to school. Then I eat my


breakfast at half past six. My mother usually prepares me some
tea and some bread. At seven o´clock, she always goes to work.

I o�en go with her.

We walk along the town un�l I stay at school. She never enters to school with me. She cleans a restaurant

The Jesuit Missions of Bolivia are mission towns founded by

reduc�ons: San Francisco Javier, Concepción, Santa Ana, San
Miguel, San Rafael, and San José that have remained intact. For
this reason, UNESCO has considered them as a World Heritage Site
since 1990.

There are two most beau�ful and accessible tours to this place,
Jesuit Missions Churches San Javier and Concepcion. Concepcion´s
church is considered as the jewel of the region.

There is a mes�zo baroque style in the construc�ons stand out


and there is also a habit to use natural materials from the area
such as wood; na�ve people use in the pulpits the carved columns, and the gold-plated altars.

TALKING TREES
A long �me ago, a girl named Julie lived in the woods. Her mother and father built a li�le log house from
trees that had fallen down. Julie played all day with deer and rabbits. At night she and her parents ate
dinner in the warm [Link] had a good life, but she was lonely. She leaned her head against a tall oak
tree. “I wish I had a friend”, she said.

A bright light flashed, and a pre�y woman stepped out of the oak. “I am the fairy of the tree,” she said.
“Because you are so kind, the trees will talk to you.” She touched Julie´s head with a branch, and then
