 DEFINICIÓN DE SECTA

● Una secta entra en la ciencia llamada heresiologia que significa “tratado sobre las
herejías”

● La secta se define de estas maneras:

● 􀂃 Una corrupción ó perversión del verdadero cristianismo.
● 􀂃 ¡Priven al cristianismo de sus doctrinas vitales y hallaran una secta!
● 􀂃 “Una secta es una perversión religiosa. Es una creencia y practica en el mundo
de la religión que exige devoción a un concepto o líder (o grupo) religioso centrado
en una doctrina falsa. Es una herejía organizada”

􀂃 “Una secta quizás se defina también como un grupo de personas congregada

alrededor de una persona especifica o de la interpretación de la Biblia de una
persona (o grupo) especifico”
 DEFINICIÓN DE SECTA
● 􀂃 Una característica importante de notar es que
todas ellas son de reciente formación y sus
enseñanzas nuevas. Por ejemplo lo Testigos de
Jehová, tienen 120 años de fundada y los
Mormones 167 años.

● 􀂃 “Una secta, como yo la defino, es cualquier

grupo religioso que difiere significativamente en
uno o más aspectos en cuanto a creencia o
practica, de los grupos religiosos que se
consideran como expresiones normativas de la
religión en nuestra cultura actual” (Dr. Charles
Brade “Estos también creen”)
 -- En la parte subrayada de la
definición anterior podemos
diferenciar una secta de una religión;
esto por que las religiones son
nativas de un pueblo y que nacen con
sus propios sistemas, pero una secta
es una devoción o tergiversación de
una religión.

—“ Mas si aun nosotros, o un ángel del cielo, os

anunciáremos otro evangelio diferente del que os
hemos anunciado, sea anatema (maldito)” (Galatas 1:8)
 ¿Para que estudiar
heresiologia o las sectas?
● 1. Nos capacita para combatirlas: Conocer cual es el error; conocer lo que
creemos y como poder contrarrestarlo.

● 2. Nos auxilia en la evangelización: Es necesario que el cristiano conozca la verdad

para poder combatir la mentira. ¡Cuando salgas a evangelizar debes conocer lo
que otros creen, para saber como presentar la sana doctrina y defenderla!.

● 3. Nos llama a prepararnos: El cristiano muchas veces esta tranquilo y a la hora de

enfrentarse con una secta no sabe que hacer y hasta acepta, esto debe hacer
que decida por estudiar la palabra y profundizar más.

● 4. Aumenta nuestra fe.

● 5. Aumenta nuestra responsabilidad.
 DEFINICIÓN DE SECTA

● Si alguna ves te as preguntado ¿Cómo saber

si son o no son una secta?, ¿Pero me sacan
una biblia?. Ahora veremos una lista que nos
servirá como guía para reconocer una secta y
el saber cuales son las características que las
distinguen de una religión:
 ¿CÓMO SABER SI SON
O NO SON UNA SECTA?,

• 1. Jesús no es el centro de atención: Definen otro Cristo o le

quitan su valor real y divino (2 Corintios 11:4)

● 2. Tienen otra autoridad literaria aparte de la biblia: Ejemplo los mormones.

● 3. Afirman ser las únicas que están en lo cierto: Si se fundaron hace 1 – 5 o 10 años dicen
ser la única verdad. Ellos no vinieron a restaurar el verdadero cristianismo como
presuponen y esto por que Jesús dijo “Por tanto, id y haced discípulos a todas las
naciones, bautizándolas… (Mateo 28:19-20)

● Esto quiere decir que esta promesa se cumple solo con los cristianos verdaderos y eso
desde hace 2000 años, no como estas sectas que dicen que lo vienen a restaurar.
 ¿CÓMO SABER SI SON
O NO SON UNA SECTA?,

● 4. Hacen uso de sus propias y privadas interpretaciones de la Biblia.

● 5. Enseñan al hombre a conseguir su propia salvación: Esto por medio de obras buenas,
vivir ciertas normas de su credo y mas.

● 6. Tienen una teología (estudio del carácter de Dios) cambiante: Ejemplo de esto son los
Testigos de Jehová que durante años ha fracasado en sus enseñanzas.

● 7. Traen una nueva verdad.

● 8. Rechazo al cristianismo histórico.
● 9. Pretender tener explicación para todos los misterios de la vida.
● 10. Deben ser fieles a sus lideres, aunque estos estén equivocados.
● 11. Se presentan como cristianos, para poder infiltrar sus creencias.
● 12. Muchos de sus seguidores se enojan cuando se les contradice.

I. Una media verdad es peor que una mentira
completa, por que la media verdad es mucho más
engañosa. “La esencia del engaño es hablar 90 %
verdad y 10 % mentira” (J Stanfford Wriht pag 111)

II. De esta manera ocultan con muchas verdades sus mentiras

fundamentales y llevan a las personas a creer que esa es una verdad
completa. Como escribió Agustín, Obispo de Hipona en el siglo cuarto “No
hay ninguna doctrina falsa que no contenga algo verdadero”

III. Entendiendo mejor el fundamento de las sectas hay que prepararse para
defender la verdad de la sana doctrina que hemos recibido.

MIEMBRO DE UNA SECTA?

1. El valor salvífico de las religiones
81. No es hoy objeto de discusión la posibilidad de salvación fuera de la Iglesia de aquellos que viven según su
conciencia. Esta salvación, como se ha visto en la exposición precedente, no se produce con independencia de Cristo y
de su Iglesia. Se funda en la presencia universal del Espíritu, que no puede desligarse del misterio pascual de Jesús[73].
Algunos textos del Vaticano II tratan específicamente de las religiones no cristianas: los que todavía no han recibido el
evangelio están ordenados de diversos modos al pueblo de Dios, y la pertenencia a las diversas religiones no parece
indiferente a los efectos de esta «ordenación»[74]. Se reconoce que en las diversas religiones hay rayos de la verdad que
ilumina a todo hombre[75], semillas del Verbo[76], por la disposición de Dios hay en ellas cosas buenas y
verdaderas[77], se encuentran elementos de verdad, de gracia y de bien no solamente en los corazones de los hombres,
sino también en los ritos y en las costumbres de los pueblos, aunque todo deba ser «sanado, elevado y completado»[78].
Si las religiones como tales pueden tener valor en orden a la salvación es un punto que queda abierto.
