INFORMACIÓN GENERAL
1) Manipular el paquete con cuidado. Desembalarlo y comprobar que
el contenido coincide con lo indicado en el apartado de la “Lista de
embalaje”. Si se observa algún componente dañado o la ausencia
de alguno avisar rápidamente al distribuidor.

2) No instalar ni utilizar el equipo sin leer, previamente, este manual de

instrucciones.

3) Estas instrucciones forman parte inseparable del aparato y deben

estar disponibles a todos los usuarios del equipo.

4) Cualquier duda puede ser aclarada contactando con el servicio técnico

DESCRIPCIÓN DEL EQUIPO

Las estufas de la serie INCUBAT están diseñadas para permitir el cultivo
bacteriológico. La distribución del calor en su interior es por convección
natural. La estufa está provista de una puerta de vidrio para poder observar
el interior sin pérdida de temperatura.

INSTALACIÓN
Colocar la estufa sobre una superficie plana, horizontal y nivelada,
procurando dejar un espacio libre de 10 cm. por la parte posterior y por
los laterales del equipo.

Para un mejor funcionamiento de la estufa, no situarla en lugares

expuestos directamente al sol ni a fuentes de calor.

Para su óptimo funcionamiento, la Tª ambiente no debe sobrepasar los

30ºC.

No utilizar el aparato para el secado o tratamiento de productos

que puedan desprender vapores o formar mezclas explosivas o
inflamables.

Asegúrese que el equipo se conecta a una tensión de red que

coincide con la indicada en la placa de características.

No utilice el equipo sin estar conectada la toma de tierra.

Si cambia la clavija de conexión tenga en cuenta lo siguiente:

Cable azul: Neutro.
Cable marrón: Fase.
Cable amarillo/verde: Tierra.

OPERACIÓN
PANEL DE MANDOS:

1. Interruptor general/selector reloj desconectador (opcional).

2. Lámpara de señalización de red (verde).
4. Mando de ajuste del termostato de seguridad.
5. Dispositivo de inmovilización del termostato de seguridad.
6. Lámpara de señalización alarma sobre temperatura (roja).
7. Mando del reloj desconectador (opcional).
8. Lámpara señalización final de ciclo (amarilla) (opcional).
9. Dispositivo de inmovilización del termostato de regulación.
10. Mando de ajuste del termostato de regulación.
11. Lámpara de señalización de funcionamiento de la calefacción
(amarilla)
12. Termómetro.
13. Interruptor luz interior (opcional).

NOTA: El panel de mandos representado incluye reloj desconectador

y termostato de seguridad que son opcionales.

PUESTA EN MARCHA

1. Accionar el interruptor de puesta en marcha (1) y al mismo tiempo

se iluminará el piloto de señalización de red (verde) (2).

2. Girar el mando del regulador de temperatura (10) en sentido horario

hasta hacer coincidir la temperatura de trabajo con la flecha
indicadora. Se iluminará el piloto de funcionamiento de resistencia
amarillo (11).

3. Bloquear el mando del termostato regulador (10) con la palanca de

bloqueo (9) para evitar movimientos accidentales de dicho mando.

4. Transcurrido un tiempo prudencial, el piloto de funcionamiento de

resistencia (11) empezará a funcionar intermitentemente. Cuando el
ciclo de dichas intermitencias sea uniforme la temperatura de la
estufa se habrá estabilizado.

OBSERVACIONES:

* La graduación de la escala del termostato sólo es orientativa, siendo

la temperatura real del interior del recinto la que indica el termómetro
(12).

* No hacer trabajar la estufa a temperaturas inferiores a ambiente +5°C

ya que a estas condiciones el termostato no regula correctamente.

* Todas las regulaciones de temperatura deben hacerse siempre en

sentido ascendente, es decir, antes de elegir cualquier valor nominal
el mando debe girarse hasta el final izquierdo de la escala. Se obtie-
ne así una regulación más exacta de la temperatura, ya que se
compensa el juego inevitable del husillo del termostato.

* Para una correcta uniformidad de la temperatura en el interior de la

estufa coloque el material de forma que no ocupe más del 70% del
volumen interior.

AJUSTE DEL TERMOSTATO DE SEGURIDAD:

Para ajustar la temperatura de disparo del termostato de seguridad,

seguir los siguientes pasos:

1. Con la estufa conectada a la red, girar el eje del termostato de

seguridad (4) en sentido horario hasta el final de escala.

2. Seleccionar la temperatura de disparo mediante el mando (10) del

termostato de regulación. Esta temperatura debe ser como mínimo
3°C superior a la temperatura de trabajo.

3. Con la puerta cerrada poner, en marcha la estufa mediante el interruptor

(1).

4. Cuando la estufa esté estabilizada a la temperatura anteriormente

seleccionada, girar lentamente el eje del termostato de seguridad
(4) en sentido antihorario hasta que éste se dispare (se escucha un
«clic» característico y se enciende el piloto de alarma (rojo) (6)).

5. Parar la estufa y dejarla enfriar con la puerta abierta durante 15

minutos como mínimo.

6. Bloquear el mando del termostato regulador (10) con la palanca de

bloqueo (9) para evitar movimientos accidentales de dicho mando.

7. Seleccionar mediante el botón del termostato de regulación (10) la

temperatura de trabajo (como mínimo 3°C inferior a la que se había
seleccionado anteriormente).

8. Poner de nuevo la estufa en marcha accionando el interruptor general

(1).

9. Bloquear los mandos de los termostatos con sus respectivos dispo-

sitivos de inmovilización (5 y 9).

10. Cerrar la puerta y poner en marcha nuevamente mediante el inte-

rruptor (1). Una vez estabilizada la temperatura, la estufa está lista
para trabajar.

NOTA: El termostato de seguridad es especialmente práctico

cuando el usuario trabaja habitualmente a la misma temperatura.

ESTUFAS EQUIPADAS CON RELOJ DESCONECTADOR:

1. Poner el selector (1) en posición .

2. Con el mando (7) fijar el tiempo que se desea para que la estufa se
pare automáticamente.
3. Si se desea trabajar por tiempo indefinido, poner el selector en
posición «ON».

ESTUFAS EQUIPADAS CON PROGRAMADOR HORARIO:

1. Poner el selector (1) en posición .

2. Con ayuda de un destornillador pequeño bajar las levas del periodo
de tiempo en que la estufa debe funcionar.
3. Para trabajar por tiempo indefinido, poner el selector en posición
«ON».

MANTENIMIENTO
Antes de quitar la tapa de la estufa para manipular en su interior
desconecte la toma de red.

La manipulación de los circuitos electrónicos internos de la estu-

fa por personal no autorizado puede provocar daños de difícil
reparación. Asegúrese de llevar el equipo a uno de los servicios
técnicos autorizados por J.P. SELECTA, s.a.

LIMPIEZA:

Para la limpieza de las diferentes piezas de los equipos, recomenda-

mos los siguientes productos:

Limpieza del acero inoxidable: Alcohol.

Limpieza de carátulas y plásticos: Alcohol con un paño de algodón.

GARANTÍA
Este producto tiene una garantía de un año. La garantía no cubre los
daños causados por un uso indebido o por causas ajenas a J.P.
SELECTA, s.a.

La manipulación por personal no autorizado por J.P. SELECTA, s.a.

anula automáticamente la garantía.

INCUBAT incubators are designed for bacteriological culture. The heat
distribution is produced by natural convection. The incubator is provided
with a tempered glass inner door that allows the visualization without
lost of temperature.

INSTALLATION
Put the incubator on a flat horizontal, level surface, leaving a space of
about 10 cm at the back of the machine.

Do not install the incubator near sunny or heating places.

For an optimum function, the ambient temperature must not be over

30ºC.

Do not use the incubator to dry or for thermal treatment of products

which can give off vapours capable of making an explosive mixture.

Be sure that the voltage supply is the same as the one indicated on the
characteristics plate.

Do not use the equipment if it is not earthed.

If you change the plug bear in mind the following :

Blue cable: Neutral.

Brown cable: Phase.
Yellow/green cable: Earth.

OPERATION
CONTROL PANEL:

1. Main switch / Timer selector (optional).

2. Mains indicator lamp (green).
4. Safety thermostat control knob.
5. Safety thermostat blockage device.
6. Overtemperature indicator lamp (red).
7. Timer knob (optional).
8. Indicator lamp of end of cycle (amber) (optional).
9. Thermostat control blockage device.
10. Thermostat control Knob.
11. Heater operation indicator lamp (amber).
12. Thermometer.
13. Internal light switch (optional).

NOTE: The panel shown includes timer and safety thermostat, which
are supplied as accessories.

STARTING UP

1. Press the mains switch (1), at the same time the green indicator
lamp (2) will light up.

2. Turn the temperature control knob (10) clockwise until the working
temperature coincides with the pointer. The amber heater operation
indicator lamp (11) lights up.

3. Block the temperature control knob (10) with the blockage lever (9)
to avoid accidentally moving the knob.

4. After a certain time, the heater operation indicator lamp (11) will start
operating intermittently. When these intermittences become uniform,
the temperature of the incubator is stabilized.

COMMENTS:

* The thermostat scale is intended as a guide, the real temperature

level inside the incubator is the one that the thermometer (12) shows.

* Do not use the incubator at a lower temperature than ambient +5ºC,

because the thermostat will not operate correctly.

* All the temperature regulations must always be made in ascent.

Before choosing any value, the knob must be turned left to the end of
the scale. Then a more exact regulation is obtained.

* Place the load in the incubator trying to leave spaces for the air
circulation. Do not load the incubator more than 70% of its useful
chamber volume.

ADJUSTING THE SAFETY THERMOSTAT:

To adjust the safety thermostat temperature do as follows:

1. With the incubator connected to the mains, turn the safety thermostat
control knob (4) clockwise to the end of the scale.

2. Select the desired safety temperature with the temperature control

knob (10). This temperature has to be minimum at 3ºC above the
working temperature.

3. With the door closed, turn on the incubator with the main switch (1).

4. When the incubator is stabilized at the above selected temperature,

turn the safety thermostat control knob (4) slowly to the left until it
clicks, the red indicator lamp (6) lights up.

5. Stop the incubator and leave it to cool with the door open during 15
minutes.

6. Block the temperature control knob (10) with the blockage lever (9)
to avoid accidentally moving the knob.

7. Select the working temperature with the thermostat control knob

(10) (minimum at 3ºC below the desired safety temperature).

8. Start the incubator once again switching it on (1).

9. Block the thermostat knobs with their corresponding blockage devices

(5 and 9).

10. Close the door and turn the incubator on again with the main switch
(1). Once the temperature is stabilized, the incubator is ready to
work.

NOTE: The safety thermostat is useful when the user works habitually
at the same temperature.

INCUBATORS WITH TIMER:

1. Put the switch selector (1) in position.

2. Choose the time you want the oven to stop automatically with the
knob (7).
3. If you want to work to an indefinable time, put the timer selector (1) in
“ON” position.

INCUBATORS WITH PROGRAMMABLE TIMER:

1. Put the switch selector (1) in position.

2. Preset the starting up and stop time with the levers of the
programmable timer.
3. If you want to work to an indefinable time, put the timer selector (1) in
“ON” position.

MAINTENANCE
Before removing the casing disconnect the equipment from the mains.

The manipulation of the internal electronic circuits of the incubator

by unauthorized personnel can cause irreparable damage. Take
it to one of the J.P.SELECTA, s.a. authorized technical services.

CLEANING:

For the cleaning of the different parts use the following products:

Cleaning of stainless steel: Alcohol.

Cleaning of plastic: Alcohol with cotton duster.

GUARANTEE
This product is guaranteed for one year. The guarantee does not cover
