 Introducción

Felicidades por la compra de su aparato nuevo.

Ha optado por adquirir un producto de alta
calidad.
Las instrucciones de uso forman parte del producto. Con-
tiene indicaciones importantes acerca de la seguridad,
uso y evacuación. Antes de usarlo por primera vez, fami-
liarícese con todas las funciones del aparato. Lea las
siguientes instrucciones de uso. Guarde estas instrucciones
en un lugar seguro. En caso de reventa del aparato a ter-
ceros, entréguele todos los documentos.

 Utilización correcta

Este aparato está previsto para su uso en interiores con el

fin de tomar la temperatura corporal en el oído o la frente
y medir la temperatura ambiente y la temperatura de las
superficies en el hogar. No reemplaza en absoluto un
examen médico. El aparato está destinado únicamente
para el uso privado. Queda prohibido cualquier otro uso
diferente al descrito con anterioridad o una modificación
del producto, ya que puede conllevar lesiones y / o daños
en el producto. Los daños derivados del uso incorrecto
del termómetro anulan la garantía y responsabilidad del
fabricante.

¡PELIGRO DE MUERTE!
Podrían tragarse las baterías, lo cual
puede suponer un peligro mortal. Si se
ha tragado una batería, debe buscar
asistencia médica inmediatamente.
 Este aparato puede ser utilizado por ni-
ños a partir de 8 años y por personas
cuyas facultades físicas, sensoriales o
mentales sean reducidas o carezcan de
los conocimientos y de la experiencia
necesaria siempre que sean vigilados o
hayan sido instruidos correctamente so-
bre el uso seguro del aparato y hayan
comprendido los peligros que entraña.
Los niños no deben jugar con el apara-
to. Los niños no deben realizar las ta-
reas de limpieza y mantenimiento del
aparato sin supervisión.
 No exponga el aparato a
- temperaturas extremas,
- vibraciones fuertes,
- grandes esfuerzos mecánicos,
- la radiación solar directa.
Puede dañar el aparato.
 De no observarse estas indicaciones,
las baterías podrían descargarse más
allá de su tensión final.

 En este caso existe el riesgo de que se
derramen. En caso de que se haya
derramado el líquido de las baterías
den-tro del aparato, sáquelas inmedia-
tamente para evitar daños en el aparato.
 Evite el contacto con la piel, ojos y mu-
cosas. Si se entra en contacto con el
ácido de las baterías, lave la parte afec-
tada con abundante agua y / o procure
atención médica.
 Nunca ponga el aparato en funciona-
miento si está dañado. Ello podría con-
llevar lesiones y mediciones incorrectas.
 ¡Por favor consulte a su médico si el ter-
mómetro muestra unos valores de tem-
peratura corporal altos! La fiebre según
este método de medición existe con una
temperatura superior a los 38 ºC
(100,4 °F). El diodo LED 5 parpadean-
te en rojo es una indicación de adver-
tencia. Por favor realice varias medicio-
nes en intervalos de 0,5 hasta 1 hora,
para controlar la evolución de la tempe-
ratura. Los valores de medición facilitan
el diagnóstico a su médico.
 No utilice el termómetro bajo condicio-
nes extremas de temperatura ni en el ex-
terior. Las consecuencias son resultados

 de medición imprecisos. Tenga en cuenta
las especificaciones acerca de tempera-
tura ambiente y de almacenamiento
(véase “Datos técnicos”).
 El sensor de medición no deberá tocarse
directamente ni exponerlo al aliento. Las
consecuencias son resultados de medi-
ción imprecisos.
 No se deben utilizar teléfonos móviles en
las inmediaciones del termómetro duran-
te su uso. Las consecuencias pueden ser
resultados de medición imprecisos.

Indicaciones de seguridad

 El aparato está destinado únicamente

para el uso privado. Por tanto no está
sujeto a una calibración obligatoria.
 No continúe utilizando el aparato si
aprecia que está dañado o los valores
de medición no le parecen reales. Con-
sulte en el capítulo “Funciones / análisis
de errores – Solución de problemas“ o
bien contacte con nuestro departamento
de asistencia técnica.

 Indicaciones de
seguridad de la pila

 Extraiga la pila cuando el aparato no se

haya utilizado durante mucho tiempo.
 ¡ATENCIÓN! ¡RIESGO DE
EXPLOSIÓN! No intente
cargar pilas no recargables.
 Aplique la polaridad correcta. La polari-
dad se indica en el compartimento de
las pilas.
 En caso necesario limpie los contactos
de la batería y el aparato antes de co-
locar las pilas.
 Las pilas no deben eliminarse junto con
los residuos domésticos.
 Todo usuario está obligado a reciclar
correctamente las pilas.
 ¡ATENCIÓN! ¡RIESGO DE
EXPLOSIÓN! Mantenga las
pilas fuera del alcance de los
niños. No arroje pilas al fuego,
no las ponga en cortocircuito ni
las desmonte.

 Retire la pila agotada del aparato. La
inobservancia de estas indicaciones
puede provocar la descarga de las pi-
las por encima de su tensión final. En
este caso, existe el riesgo de que se sul-
faten. En caso de que se haya derrama-
do el líquido de las pilas dentro del
aparato, sáquelas inmediatamente para
evitar daños en el aparato.
 Evite el contacto con la piel, los ojos y
las mucosas. En caso de contacto acci-
dental con el ácido derramado de las pi-
las, enjuague inmediatamente las partes
afectadas con abundante agua y acuda
a un médico.
 Antes de la puesta en marcha
 Retirar fusible para la pila

 Presione el conmutador 10 hacia abajo.

 Retire la lámina protectora de la lengüeta del
compartimento de la pila.
 Vuelva a desplazar la tapa del compartimento de la
pila 10 sobre el mismo, hasta que esté perfectamente
encajada (fig. A).
– Al encender el aparato se realiza una calibración
interna y un autotest de la pantalla LCD.

– Para comprobar si todas las barras de los números
son controlados correctamente, compruebe antes de
conectar la imagen de la pantalla LCD 4 de su apa-
rato con la muestra (fig. B).

 Funcionamiento
 Ajustar la fecha y la hora (fig.C)

Este ajuste solo es necesario en el primer uso y después

de cambiar la pila.
1. Presione y mantenga pulsada la tecla “MEM / Set” 9
durante dos segundos en modo estándar. Suela una
señal acústica. El aparato se encuentra en modo Setup.
2. Pulse la tecla “MEM / SET” 9 , para seleccionar
entre el formato de 12 o 24 horas.
3. Pulse la tecla “FOREHEAD“ 3 . Las horas parpadean
y se pueden corregir con la tecla “MEM / SET“ 9 .
4. Pulse de nuevo la tecla “FOREHEAD“ 3 . Los
minutos parpadean y se pueden corregir con la
tecla “MEM / SET“ 9 .
 Repita los pasos 3 y 4, para ajustar los valores para
año, mes o para conectar / desconectar el modo Sleep.
 Pulse a continuación la tecla “FOREHEAD“ 3 . Los va-
lores son aceptados y el aparato regresa de nuevo al
modo estándar.

 Medición de temperatura

Medición temperatura ambiente

(modo estándar)
Si ha concluido los ajustes fecha y hora y no desea realizar
otra acción, el aparato cambia a modo Sleep después de
un minuto para la protección de las pilas. En estado de
entrega el modo Sleep, indicado mediante el símbolo , se
encuentra activo y la pantalla LC 4 está completamente
desconectada. En caso de modo Sleep desactivado, el
aparato permanece desactivado y continúan mostrándose
la hora y la temperatura ambiente, actualizadas cada
minuto. La pantalla LC 4 muestra alternativamente la
hora y la fecha (fig. D).

Medición corporal (modo oído)

¡IMPORTANTE! Se recomienda realizar 3 mediciones
sucesivas en el mismo oído y tomar como valor de medida
la temperatura más alta. La nueva medición puede reiniciarse
cuando aparece la indicación “ ”.
 No utilice el termómetro si aparecen dolores durante
la medición. El conducto auditivo podría dañarse.
 No utilice el termómetro en caso de trastornos auditivos
externos ([Link].: otitis externa, infecciones auriculares).
El estado de las zonas dañadas podría empeorar.
 No utilice el termómetro justo después del baño o de
nadar, con el conducto auditivo húmedo. El conducto
auditivo podría dañarse.
 Limpie el aparato después de cada uso, debido al peli-
gro de contaminación en su cabezal de medición 1 .

 En este modo mida solo la temperatura en el oído y
en ninguna otra parte del cuerpo.

1. En caso de que el modo Sleep se encuentre activo,

active el termómetro antes de la medición pulsando
cualquier botón.
2. Pulse de forma cuidadosa la tapa protectora 8 y retíre-
la sin emplear fuerza con un ligero movimiento giratorio.
3. Asegúrese de que el cabezal medidor 1 y la sonda
de medición estén limpios.
4. Limpie cuidadosamente el conducto auditivo del oído
con un bastoncillo.
5. Tire ligeramente el pabellón de la oreja en dirección
a la nuca ligeramente inclinado hacia arriba/hacia
atrás , de modo que el conducto auditivo quede fácil-
mente accesible y no existan obstáculos entre el sen-
sor de medición y el tímpano.
6. Sostenga el pabellón de la oreja tirando ligeramente
hacia arriba e introduzca cuidadosamente el cabezal
medidor 1 en el conducto auditivo.
7. Pulse brevemente la tecla “EAR” 2 . Aparece el
símbolo en la pantalla LC 4 y después de un
sonido comienza la medición.
8. El final de la medición se confirma mediante dos
señales de sonido.
9. Ahora puede leer el resultado de la medición en la
pantalla LC 4 . Al mismo tiempo brilla uno de los
3 LEDs.

10. La indicación se puede realizar tanto en “°C” como

en “°F” (véase “Funciones / análisis de errores –
Seleccionar unidad de temperatura”).
11. Espere hasta que la indicación “ ” se apague, an-
tes de comenzar una nueva medición.

Indicación: El aparato se apaga automáticamente

cuando no se acciona ninguna tecla durante más de
1 minuto. En caso de modo Sleep activado, la pantalla
LC 4 se desconecta. En caso de modo Sleep desactivado,
el aparato se conecta en modo estándar. Cuando el ter-
mómetro se utiliza en condiciones normales, el resultado
de la última medición realizada se guarda siempre auto-
máticamente antes de que el aparato apague. El valor de
medición volverá a estar disponible junto con fecha, hora
y modo de medición cuando se pulse de nuevo la tecla
“MEM / SET“ 9 . El aparato dispone de 9 posiciones de
memoria (véase capítulo “Funciones / análisis de errores -
La función de memoria”).

Medición corporal (modo frente)
¡IMPORTANTE! Se recomienda realizar 3 medicio-
nes sucesivas en el mismo lugar y tomar como valor de
medida la temperatura más alta.
 En caso de temperaturas ambiente diferentes, dejar el
aparato para su “aclimatación” entre 20 y 30 minutos,
en el lugar donde se realice la medición.
 Antes de medir la temperatura corporal, se debe
relajar durante 5 minutos aproximadamente.
 Las actividades físicas o un baño deben de ser ante-
riores a 30 minutos, de forma que se pueda obtener
un resultado de medición lo más exacto posible.
 Preste atención de que la frente o la sien se encuentra
limpia, sin lesiones y libre de sudor, maquillaje o
pomadas.

Recuerde con qué procedimiento de medición ha medido

la temperatura y comuníquelo a su médico.
1. En caso de que el modo Sleep se encuentre activo,
active el termómetro antes de la medición pulsando
cualquier botón.
2. Pulse de forma cuidadosa la tapa protectora 8 y
retírela sin emplear fuerza con un ligero movimiento
giratorio.
3. Asegúrese de que el cabezal medidor 1 y la sonda
de medición estén limpios.
4. Sostenga el medidor a una distancia de 1 cm en la
frente o la sien.

 5. Para comenzar la medición pulse la tecla “FOREHEAD”
3 . Aparece el símbolo en la pantalla LC 4 y
después de un sonido comienza la medición.
6. El final de la medición se confirma mediante dos
señales de sonido.
7. Ahora puede leer el resultado de la medición en la
pantalla LC 4 . Al mismo tiempo brilla uno de los
3 LEDs.

Indicación: LED verde 7 sin fiebre 34,0 °C - 37,4 °C

(93,2 °F - 99,4 °F)
LED naranja 6 ligero aumento de temperatura
37,5 °C - 37,9 °C (99,5 °F - 100,3 °F)

8. La indicación se puede realizar tanto en °C como en
°F (véase “Funciones / análisis de errores – Seleccio-
nar unidad de temperatura”).
9. Repita los pasos 3 al 6 para realizar otras mediciones.

Indicación: El aparato se apaga automáticamente cuan-

do no se acciona ninguna tecla durante más de 1 minuto.
En caso de modo Sleep activado, la pantalla LC 4 se des-
conecta. En caso de modo Sleep desactivado, el aparato
se conecta en modo estándar. Cuando el termómetro se
utiliza en condiciones normales, el resultado de la última
medición realizada se guarda siempre automáticamente
antes de que el aparato apague. El valor de medición vol-
verá a estar disponible junto con fecha, hora y modo de

medición cuando se pulse de nuevo la tecla “MEM / SET“
9 . El aparato dispone de 9 posiciones de memoria (véase
“Funciones / análisis de errores - La función de memoria”).

Utilización como termómetro en el hogar

(modo Scan)
El termómetro se puede utilizar en el hogar para la medición
de temperaturas en un margen de –22,0 ºC a 80,0 ºC
(–7,6 °F - 176,0 °F).

¡ATENCIÓN! No emplee este modo para mediciones

de la temperatura corporal.
– Con esta medición se muestra la temperatura actual
de superficie del objeto. ¡Esta se puede diferenciar
de su temperatura interna, especialmente cuando la
superficie está expuesta a la luz solar o a una corriente
de aire!
 Es una característica propia del modelo medir el valor
exacto cuando su carcasa ha registrado la temperatura
ambiente. ¡Por tanto no lo tenga mucho tiempo en las
manos durante la medición y manténgalo alejado de
la luz solar!
 No emplee el aparato inmediatamente después de la
limpieza del cabezal medidor 1 . El frío debido a la
evaporación del detergente puede alterar el resultado
de medición.

Ejemplo aplicaciones:
- Temperatura de la leche en biberones
- Temperatura del agua para el baño
1. En caso de que el modo Sleep se encuentre activo,
active el termómetro antes de la medición pulsando
cualquier botón.
2. Pulse de forma cuidadosa la tapa protectora 8 y
retírela sin emplear fuerza con un ligero movimiento
giratorio.
3. Asegúrese de que el cabezal medidor 1 y la sonda
de medición estén limpios.
4. Pulse simultáneamente las teclas “FOREHEAD“ 3 y
“EAR“ 2 hasta que en la pantalla LC 4 aparezca
“Food“ (fig. E).
5. Mantenga el cabezal medidor a una distancia de
1 cm del líquido o de la superficie cuya temperatura
desea medir.
6. Presione la tecla “EAR“ 2 para activar la medición
de tiempo.
7. Ahora puede leer el resultado de la medición en la
pantalla LC 4 (fig. E).
8. La indicación se puede realizar tanto en “°C” como
en “°F” (véase “Funciones / análisis de errores –
Seleccionar unidad de temperatura”).
9. Presione la tecla “EAR“ 2 para realizar otras
mediciones.
10. El aparato se apaga automáticamente cuando no se
acciona ninguna tecla durante más de 1 minuto. Para
esta aplicación no se efectúa un almacenamiento en
el aparato.

Para volver al modo estándar, proceda como sigue:
1. Pulse simultáneamente las teclas “FOREHEAD“ 3 y
“EAR“ 2 hasta que en la pantalla LC 4 se vuelva a
mostrar la temperatura ambiente, la fecha y la hora,
así como el símbolo (fig. D).
2. Ahora se encuentra de nuevo en el modo estándar.

 Funciones / análisis de errores

 Seleccionar unidad de temperatura

 Pulse y mantenga pulsadas simultáneamente las teclas

“EAR” 2 y “FOREHEAD” 3 , hasta que aparezca
detrás la indicación de temperatura ”°F“. El cambio de
“ºF” a “ºC” es posible con el mismo procedimiento.

 La función memoria (modo Memory)

¡IMPORTANTE!
La medición actual siempre se almacena en la última posición
de la memoria. Si todas las posiciones de memoria están
ocupadas, siempre se elimina la medición más antigua.

Las mediciones en el modo oído y frente se almacenan

automáticamente en el aparato. Los valores de las medi-
ciones volverán a estar disponibles junto con fecha, hora
y modo de medición cuando se pulse de nuevo la tecla
“MEM / SET“ 9 en modo estándar.

Pulse 1 vez la tecla “MEM / SET” 9 , para consultar el
valor de la última medición. En la pantalla LC 4 aparece
el símbolo “Memory“ (modo Memory), el número de la
medición, fecha, hora y modo de medición, (fig. F). Al
pulsar de nuevo la tecla “MEM / SET“ 9 aparece la si-
guiente posición de la memoria con el valor de medición
correspondiente. Pueden guardarse 9 valores de medición
como máximo.

Para volver al modo estándar, proceda como sigue:

1. Pulse simultáneamente las teclas “FOREHEAD“ 3 y
“EAR“ 2 hasta que en la pantalla LC 4 se vuelva a
mostrar la temperatura ambiente, la fecha y la hora,
así como el símbolo (fig. D).
2. Ahora se encuentra de nuevo en el modo estándar.

 Cambio de pilas

El aparato viene provisto de una pila de litio (CR2032 de

3 V ), que permite muchas mediciones. Si la pila está
vacía, recibirá el aviso de error correspondiente (véase
“Funciones / análisis de errores – Solución de problemas”).
 Presione el conmutador 10 hacia abajo. Levante la
pila 11 con un pequeño destornillador.
 Evite en cualquier caso un cortocircuito de la pila.
Puede producirse un cortocircuito si el destornillador
entra en contacto con la pila y con piezas conductoras
en el compartimento de la pila.

 Coloque las nuevas pilas en el compartimento
de la pila.
Indicación: Aplique la polaridad correcta. Las
indicaciones de la pila deben mostrar el signo más
hacia arriba.
 Deslice la nueva pila bajo el tope metálico y presione
hacia abajo, hasta que escuche que encaja.
 Vuelva a desplazar la tapa del compartimento de la
pila 10 sobre el mismo, hasta que esté perfectamente
encajada (fig. A).

 Solución de problemas

En caso de que el aparato no pueda llevar a cabo una

medición en el rango previsto, existe un aviso de error. La
notificación debe contribuir a solucionar el problema.

 Limpieza y cuidados

Tras un número determinado de mediciones de temperatu-

ra, el aparato le recuerda que debe limpiar el sensor de
medición. Para ello, se muestra el símbolo de limpieza 20
en la pantalla LC 4 y se emiten señales de alarma. Para
evitar la contaminación con agentes patógenos contami-
nantes la lente debe limpiarse después de su uso con un
paño húmedo humedecido con alcohol médico de 70 %.
No es necesario el uso de protectores. Por favor, espere al
menos 30 minutos hasta que se pueda realizar la nueva
medición. Tenga en cuenta que debido al frío producido

por la evaporación del alcohol, incluso en pequeñas
cantidades puede alterar el resultado.
Limpie la carcasa con un paño suave y ligeramente
humedecido. En caso de suciedad persistente también se
puede añadir un producto de limpieza suave al agua de
limpieza. Conserve el aparato en un ambiente seco y evi-
te que sea expuesto a la luz solar directa. El aparato se
puede almacenar a temperaturas de –10,0 °C - 55,0 °C
(14,0 °F - 131,0 °F). ¡Deben evitarse temperaturas
superiores a los 80,0 °C! Para medir es necesario que el
aparato se haya adaptado lo suficiente a la temperatura
ambiente, de lo contrario recibirá un aviso de error (véase
“Funciones / análisis de errores – Solución de problemas”).
Esto mismo se debe respetar para medir una temperatura
ambiente de entre 5,0 °C y 59,9 °C (41,0 °F - 139,8 °F).
Si no se encuentra dentro de este rango, se produce un
aviso de error (véase “Funciones / análisis de errores –
Solución de problemas”).
Retire las pilas cuando n o vaya a utilizar el aparato
durante un tiempo prolongado.

 Garantía y servicio de
asistencia técnica

Este aparato tiene 3 años de garantía desde la

fecha de compra. El aparato ha sido fabricado
cuidadosamente y ha sido probado antes de
su entrega. Guarde el comprobante de caja
como justificante de compra. Si necesitara
hacer uso de la garantía, póngase en contacto
por teléfono con su punto de servicio habitual.
Éste es el único modo de garantizar un envío
gratuito. La garantía cubre los defectos de fabricación
o del material, pero no los daños de transporte, las piezas
sujetas a desgaste o los daños sufridos por las piezas
frágiles (p. ej. el interruptor o las pilas).
Este producto ha sido diseñado exclusivamente para el uso
particular y no para el uso industrial. En caso de manipu-
lación indebida e incorrecta, uso de la fuerza y en caso
de abrir el aparato personas extrañas a nuestros centros
de asistencia técnica autorizados, la garantía pierde su
validez. Esta garantía no reduce en forma alguna sus de-
rechos legales. La duración de la garantía no se prolonga
con la garantía de reparaciones. Lo mismo sucede con las
piezas que se hayan cambiado o reparado. Los daños y

qualidade.
O manual de instruções é constituinte deste produto. Este
contém indicações importantes para a segurança, utiliza-
ção e eliminação. Antes da primeira utilização, familiari-
ze-se com as funções do aparelho. Leia o seguinte manual
de instruções. Conserve este manual. Entregue todos os
documentos no caso de transmissão do aparelho a terceiros.

 Utilização correcta

O aparelho destina-se à medição interior da temperatura

corporal no ouvido ou têmpora / testa, medição da tempe-
ratura ambiente, bem como, medição de temperaturas de
superfície no âmbito doméstico. Não substitui, de forma al-
guma, a consulta de um médico. O aparelho destina-se
exclusivamente ao uso privado. Não é permitida uma ou-
tra utilização que não aquela acima descrita nem uma al-
teração do produto, pois pode causar ferimentos e / ou
danos no produto. O fabricante não assume qualquer
responsabilidade por danos resultantes de uma utilização
indevida.

mam frequentemente os perigos. Mante-
nha sempre o produto fora do alcance das

pilhas podem ser engolidas, o que cons-
titui perigo de morte. Se uma pilha for en
golida, procure imediatamente ajuda mé-
dica.
 Este aparelho pode ser utilizado por
crianças a partir dos 8 anos de idade e
pessoas com capacidades físicas, sen-
soriais ou mentais reduzidas ou com fal-
ta de experiência e conhecimento, caso
sejam vigiadas ou instruídas sobre a uti-
lização segura do aparelho e tenham
compreendido os perigos daí resultan-
tes. As crianças não podem brincar com
o aparelho. A limpeza e a manutenção
pelo utilizador não podem ser realiza-
das por crianças não supervisionadas.
 Não exponha o aparelho a
- temperaturas extremas,
- vibrações fortes,
- fortes esforços mecânicos,
- raios solares directos.
Caso contrário, o aparelho pode ficar
danificado.
 Em caso de inobservância das indica-
ções, as pilhas podem ficar descarrega-
das para além da sua tensão final.

 Neste caso, existe perigo de derrame.
Caso as pilhas comecem a derramar
dentro do seu aparelho, retire-as imedia-
tamente, de forma a evitar danos neste!
 Evite o contacto com a pele, olhos e mu-
cosas. No caso de contacto com o áci-
do das pilhas, lave o local afectado com
bastante água e / ou consulte um médico!
 Não ligue o aparelho se este estiver da-
nificado. Pode provocar ferimentos e /
ou valores imprecisos na medição.
 Consulte um médico caso o termómetro
indique valores de temperatura corporal
elevados! Com este método de medi-
ção, considera-se febre acima dos
38,0 °C (100,4 °F). O LED vermelho 5
aceso é um sinal de aviso. Efectue a me-
dição várias vezes em intervalos de
0,5 minutos a 1 hora para seguir a evo-
lução da temperatura. Os valores por si
medidos poderão facilitar o diagnóstico
do médico.
 Não utilize o termómetro sob condições
de temperatura extrema e / ou no exte-
rior, pode originar resultados imprecisos
na medição. Tenha em atenção os pa-
drões relativamente às temperaturas

 Não se deve tocar nem soprar directa-
mente para o sensor. Pode originar resul-
tados de medição imprecisos.
 Os telemóveis não devem ser usados nas
proximidades da utilização do termóme-

ção imprecisos.

Não está, assim, sujeito a controlo me-
trológico.
 Não utilize mais o aparelho se este esti-
ver danificado ou se os valores de medi-
ção lhe parecerem irrealistas. Consulte o

dirija-se ao nosso ponto de assistência.

 Ao colocar as pilhas, tenha em atenção

no compartimento das pilhas.

pilhas e do aparelho antes da sua colo-
cação.
 As pilhas não devem ser depositadas no
lixo doméstico!
 Cada utilizador tem o dever legal de
eliminar correctamente as pilhas!
 CUIDADO! PERIGO DE
EXPLOSÃO! Mantenha as pi-
lhas longe do alcance das crian-
ças, não as atire para o fogo,
proteja-as contra curto-circuitos e
não as desmonte.
 Remova imediatamente as pilhas gastas
do aparelho. Caso contrário, as pilhas
podem ser descarregadas devido à sua
tensão final. Neste caso, existe perigo
de derrame. Caso as pilhas derramem
ácido no seu aparelho, retire-as imedia-
tamente, de forma a evitar danos no
aparelho!

cosas. No caso de contacto com o áci-
do da pilha, lave abundantemente a
zona afectada com água e / ou consul-
te um médico!
 Antes de utilizar o aparelho
 Remover a protecção da pilha

 Faça deslizar a tampa do compartimento da bateria 10

para baixo.
 Extraia do compartimento das pilhas a película
protectora da patilha.
 Volte a deslizar a tampa no compartimento para
pilhas 10 até ouvir encaixar (fig. A).
– Ao ligar realiza-se uma compensação interna e um
auto-teste do visor LC.
– Para verificar se todas as barras dos algarismos são
comandadas correctamente, ao ligar o aparelho verifi-
que a imagem do visor LC 4 com base no modelo
(fig. B).

Esta configuração só é necessária na primeira utilização

e após a substituição da pilha.

 1. Mantenha a tecla “MEM / SET” 9 pressionada dois
segundos no modo padrão. É emitido um sinal sonoro.
O aparelho encontra-se no modo setup.
2. Prima a tecla “MEM / SET” 9 , para optar entre o
formato de 12 ou de 24 horas.
3. Prima a tecla “FOREHEAD” 3 . As horas ficam
intermitentes e podem ser alteradas com a tecla
“MEM / SET 9 .
4. Prima novamente a tecla “FOREHEAD” 3 . Os minutos
ficam intermitentes e podem ser alterados com a tecla
“MEM / SET 9 .
 Repita os 3.º e 4.º passos para configurar os valores
para ano, mês e dia ou (des)ligar o modo sleep.
 De seguida prima a tecla “FOREHEAD” 3 . As confi-
gurações são assumidas e o aparelho volta para o
modo padrão.

 Medições de temperatura

Medir a temperatura ambiente (modo padrão)

Se tiver configurado a hora e data e se não efectuar mais
nenhuma alteração, o aparelho comuta, após 1 minuto,
para modo sleep para conservar a pilha. Na configuração
original, o modo sleep, apresentado com o símbolo , é
activado e o visor LC 4 é completamente desligado. No
caso de desactivação do modo sleep, o aparelho perma-
nece ligado e são mostradas a hora e a temperatura am-
biente actualizadas 1 x por minuto. O visor LC 4 apre-
senta alternadamente a hora e a data (fig. D).

Medir a temperatura corporal (modo auricular)
IMPORTANTE! Recomenda-se efectuar 3 medições
consecutivas no mesmo ouvido assumindo como valor
medido a temperatura mais elevada. A nova medição
pode ser iniciada quando o visor “ ” se apagar.
 Não utilize o termómetro no caso de sentir dores ao
tirar a temperatura. O canal auditivo pode estar ferido.
 Não utilize o termómetro em caso de visíveis doenças
no ouvido (por ex. otites, ferimentos na orelha). O
estado dos pontos afectados poder-se-á agravar.
 Não utilize o termómetro com o canal auditivo húmido
imediatamente após o banho ou a natação. O canal
auditivo poderá ficar danificado.
 Após cada utilização, limpe o aparelho devido ao
perigo de contaminação da cabeça de medição 1 .
 Neste modo, meça a temperatura apenas no ouvido
e nunca em outros pontos do corpo.

1. No caso do modo sleep estar activo, accione o

termómetro antes da medição premindo a tecla
pretendida.
2. Prima cuidadosamente a tampa de protecção 8 e
remova-a com um ligeiro movimento rotativo, sem
exercer força.
3. Certifique-se de que a cabeça de medição 1 e o
sensor de medição se encontram limpos.
4. Limpe cuidadosamente o canal auditivo do ouvido
com um cotonete.
5. Puxe a orelha ligeiramente para cima/para trás na

 direcção da nuca, obliquamente, de forma a que o ca-
nal auditivo fique acessível e não se encontre qualquer
obstáculo entre o sensor e a membrana timpânica.
6. Mantenha a orelha ligeiramente puxada e insira
cuidadosamente a cabeça de medição 1 no canal
auditivo.
7. Prima brevemente a tecla “EAR” 2 . Aparece o
símbolo no visor LC 4 e, após um sinal sonoro,
inicia-se a medição.
8. O final da medição é assinalado com dois sinais
sonoros.
9. Agora pode consultar o resultado da medição no visor
LC 4 . Simultaneamente, um dos 3 LED acende-se.

10. A indicação pode aparecer tanto em “ºC” como
também em “ºF” (ver “Funções / Análise de erros -
seleccionar unidade da temperatura”).
11. Espere até que a indicação se apague “ ”,
antes de começar uma nova medição.

Indicação: O aparelho desliga-se automaticamente

quando não é utilizado por mais de 1 minuto. No modo
sleep o visor LC 4 desliga-se. No caso de modo sleep
desactivado, o aparelho liga-se no modo padrão.

Se o termómetro funcionar em condições normais, o resul-
tado da última medição é sempre memorizado automatica-
mente antes de se desligar o aparelho. O valor medido
fica disponível juntamente com a data, hora e o modo de
medição ao premir novamente a tecla “MEM / SET” 9 .
O aparelho possui 9 posições de memória (ver capítulo
“Funções / Análise de erros - a função Memory”).

Medir a temperatura corporal (modo frontal)

IMPORTANTE! Recomenda-se efectuar 3 medições
consecutivas no mesmo ponto, assumindo a temperatura
mais elevada como valor de medição.
 No caso de temperaturas ambiente diferentes, colocar
o aparelho durante 20 a 30 minutos no espaço onde
a medição será efectuada para este se ajustar à sua
temperatura.
 Antes de medir a temperatura corporal, deve relaxar
cerca de 5 minutos.
 Qualquer actividade física ou banho deve ser realizado
pelo menos 30 minutos antes para que possa ser
alcançado um resultado o mais possível preciso.
 Tenha em atenção se a testa e a têmpora se encontram
limpas de suor, cosméticos ou cremes e sem ferimentos.

sinal sonoro, inicia-se a medição.
6. O final da medição é assinalado com 2 sinais sonoros.
7. Agora pode consultar o resultado da medição no visor
LC 4 . Simultaneamente, um dos 3 LED acende-se.

medições.

Indicação: O aparelho desliga-se automaticamente se

não for utilizado por mais de 1 minuto. No modo sleep o
visor LC 4 desliga-se. No caso do modo sleep desactivado,
o aparelho liga-se no modo padrão. Se o termómetro
funcionar em condições normais, o resultado da última

medição é sempre memorizado automaticamente antes de
se desligar o aparelho. O valor da medição fica disponível
juntamente com a data, hora e modo de medição ao
premir novamente a tecla “MEM / SET” 9 . O aparelho
possui 9 posições de memória (ver capítulo “Funções /
Análise de erros - a função Memory”).

Utilização como termómetro em casa

(modo scan)
O termómetro também pode ser utilizado em casa para
medições de temperatura à distância, num intervalo de
–22,0 °C - 80,0 °C (–7,6 °F - 176,0 °F).

ATENÇÃO! Não utilize este modo para medições

da temperatura corporal.
– Nesta medição é apresentada a temperatura de
superfície actual do objecto. Esta pode distinguir-se
da sua temperatura interna, particularmente se a
superfície do objecto estiver exposta à radiação
solar ou a uma corrente de ar!
 O termómetro mede, de acordo com o modelo, o valor
exacto, se a sua caixa tiver assumido a temperatura
ambiente. Por isso, até à medição, não o mantenha
muito tempo na mão e mantenha-o afastado da
radiação solar directa!
 Não utilize o aparelho imediatamente após limpar a
cabeça de medição 1 . A evaporação do produto
de limpeza pode adulterar o resultado da medição.

10. O aparelho desliga-se automaticamente quando
não é utilizado por mais de 1 minuto. Neste caso os
valores medidos não são memorizados no aparelho.

Para regressar ao modo padrão, proceda da seguinte forma:
1. Prima em simultâneo a tecla “FOREHEAD” 3 e a
tecla “EAR” 2 várias vezes até que sejam mostrados
novamente no visor LC 4 temperatura ambiente,
data e hora assim como o símbolo (fig. D).
2. Encontra-se no modo padrão.

 Seleccionar a unidade
de temperatura

 Prima e mantenha pressionada, em simultâneo, a tecla

“EAR” 2 e a tecla “FOREHEAD” 3 , até que surja
a indicação da temperatura em “°F”. Com o mesmo
procedimento é possível uma comutação inversa
(de “°F” para “°C”).

 A função Memory (modo Memory)

IMPORTANTE!
A medição actual é guardada sempre na última posição
de memória. Se estiverem ocupadas todas as posições
de memória, é sempre removida da memória a medição
mais antiga.

As medições no modo frontal e auricular são guardadas

automaticamente no aparelho. Os valores medidos são
disponibilizados novamente com data, hora e modo de
medição, quando a tecla “MEM / SET” 9 for activada

no modo padrão. Prima 1 x a tecla “MEM / SET” 9
para chamar o valor da última medição. No visor LC 4
surge o símbolo “Memory” (modo Memory), o número
da medição, data, hora e modo de medição (fig. F). Ao
voltar a premir a tecla “MEM / SET” 9 surge a próxima
posição de memória com o valor medido respectivo.
Pode-se guardar no máximo 9 valores de medição.

Para regressar ao modo padrão, proceda da seguinte

forma:
1. Prima em simultâneo a tecla “FOREHEAD” 3 e a
tecla “EAR” 2 várias vezes até que sejam mostrados
novamente no visor LC 4 temperatura ambiente,
data e hora assim como o símbolo (fig. D).
2. Encontra-se no modo padrão.

 Substituição da pilha

O aparelho está equipado com uma pilha de lítio (CR2032,

3 V ) a qual permite executar inúmeras medições. Se a
pilha estiver vazia, é chamada a sua atenção para este
facto através de uma mensagem de erro (ver tabela
“Funções / Análise de erros - resolução de problemas”).
 Faça deslizar a tampa do compartimento da bateria 10
para baixo. Retire a pilha com uma pequena chave
de parafusos 11 .
 Deve evitar um curto-circuito da pilha. Um curto-circuito
pode surgir quando a chave de parafusos, a pilha e
as partes condutoras, simultaneamente, tocam no
compartimento da pilha.

 Coloque a nova pilha no compartimento da pilha.
Indicação: Tenha em atenção a polaridade certa.
A inscrição na nova pilha deve ficar com o sinal
positivo virado para cima.
 Insira a pilha nova sob a patilha metálica e prima-a
para baixo até ouvir encaixar.
 Volte a deslizar a tampa no compartimento para
pilhas 10 até ouvir encaixar (fig. A).

 Reparação de problemas

Caso o aparelho não consiga efectuar a medição na área

prevista, surge uma mensagem de erro. Esta mensagem
deve ajudar à resolução do problema.

 Limpeza e conservação

Após algumas medições de temperatura o aparelho irá

lembrá-lo de limpar o sensor de medição. Para isso surgi-
rá o símbolo limpeza 20 no visor LC-Display 4 e soam
sinais acústicos. Para evitar uma contaminação de micró-
bios, após cada utilização, a lente deve ser limpa com
um pano suave humedecido com álcool etílico de 70 %.
Não é por isso necessária a utilização de acessórios hi-
giénicos. De seguida, aguarde pelo menos 30 minutos an-
tes de efectuar uma nova medição. Tenha em considera-
ção que, devido à evaporação do álcool, mesmo
pequenas quantidades podem adulterar os resultados da
medição. Limpe a caixa com um pano suave levemente
humedecido. Em caso de sujidade maior pode ser usado
com água um detergente de limpeza suave. Guarde o
aparelho num ambiente seco e evite a exposição directa
à luz solar. O aparelho pode ser guardado a temperatu-
ras entre –10,0 °C - 55,0 °C (14,0 °F - 131,0 °F). Deve-
-se evitar temperaturas acima de 80,0 °C! No entanto,
para a medição é necessário que o aparelho já se tenha
ajustado à temperatura ambiente pois, caso contrário, é

emitida uma mensagem de erro (ver „Funções / Análise de
erros - resolução de problemas“). Desta forma, deve-se man-
ter uma temperatura ambiente de 5,0 ºC - 59,9 °C
(41,0 °F - 139,8 °F). Se ultrapassar este intervalo, surge
uma mensagem de erro (ver „Funções / Análise de erro - re-
solução de problemas“). Retire a pilha, se não utilizar o
aparelho por um longo período de tempo.

ter indicates that the body temperature
measured is high. With this measuring
method, a fever is indicated if the tem-
perature is above 38.0 °C (100.4 °F).
The red LED 5 is a warning. Please take
several measurements at intervals of 0.5
to 1 hour in order to follow the progres-
sion of the temperature. The values you
measure will help your doctor make a
diagnosis.
 Do not use the temperature under ex-
treme temperature conditions and / or
outdoors. This will result in inaccurate
measuring results. Please observe the de-
tails regarding ambient and storage tem-
peratures (see “Technical data”).
 The measurement sensor should not be
touched directly or be blown on. This will
result in inaccurate measuring results.

 Mobile telephones should not be used in
the immediate vicinity when the thermom-
eter is being used. Otherwise the conse-
quence may be inaccurate measurement
results.

 Removing the battery fuse

 Push the battery compartment lid 10 downwards.

 Pull the tab of the protective film out of the battery
compartment.
 Push the battery compartment lid 10 onto the battery
compartment until it clicks into place (Fig. A).
– When it is switched on, an internal alignment and a
self-test of the LC display are carried out.
– To verify that all of the bars of the numbers are being
managed correctly, when you switch on check the
display of the LC display 4 on your appliance
against the example (Fig. B).

 Operation
 Setting the date / time (Fig. C)

You only have to set the date and time when you operate
the appliance for the first time and after you change the
battery.
1. Press and hold the “MEM / SET” button 9 down for
two seconds in standard mode. An acoustic signal
will sound. The device is now in set-up mode.
2. Press the “MEM / SET” button 9 to choose between
the 12-hour or 24-hour format.
3. Press the “FOREHEAD” button 3 . The hours will flash
and can be corrected with the “MEM / SET” button 9 .

 4. Press the “FOREHEAD” button 3 again. The minutes
will flash and can be corrected with the “MEM / SET”
button 9 .
 Repeat steps 3 and 4 to set the values for the year,
month and day or to switch the sleep mode on or off.
 Finally, press the “FOREHEAD” button 3 . The settings will
be taken over and the appliance reverts to standard mode.

 Temperature measurements

Measuring room temperature (standard mode)

When you have finished setting the time and date and do
not carry out any further procedures, the device switches
to sleep mode after 1 minute in order to save the battery.
In the condition as supplied to the customer the sleep
mode is activated, as shown by the symbol, and the LC
display 4 is completely switched off. When the sleep
mode is deactivated, the device remains switched on,
while the time and room temperature are still shown and
updated once a minute. The LC display 4 shows
the time and date alternately (Illustration D).

Measuring body temperature (ear mode)

IMPORTANT! It is advisable to carry out 3 meas-
urements in a row on the same ear and to take the highest
temperature as the measured value. A new measurement
can be taken when the display “ ” goes out.
 Do not use the thermometer if pain occurs when the meas-
urement is being taken. This could damage the ear canal.

 Do not use the thermometer with external ear disorders
(e.g. inflammation of the ear canal, injuries to the outer
ear). The condition of the affected areas could worsen.
 Do not use the thermometer straight after bathing or
swimming when the ear canal is wet. This could dam-
age the ear canal.
 Due to the risk of contamination of the measuring
head 1 , clean the appliance after every use.
 In this mode, only measure the temperature in the ear
and at no other place on the body.

1. If the sleep mode has been activated, activate the

thermometer again by pressing any button before
taking the measurement.
2. Carefully press on the protective cap 8 and remove it
with a gentle rotary motion and without using any force.
3. Check that the measuring head 1 and the measuring
sensors are clean.
4. Carefully clean the ear canal with a cotton bud.
5. Pull the outer ear, tilted slightly upwards/to the rear,
towards the back of his head, so that the ear canal is
freely accessible and there are no impediments be-
tween the measurement sensor and the eardrum.
6. Please keep the outer ear slightly extended and now
carefully insert the measuring head 1 into the ear canal.
7. Briefly press the “EAR” button 2 . The symbol will
appear in the LC display 4 and the measurement
will start after an acoustic signal.
8. The end of the measurement is indicated by means of
2 acoustic signals.

LC display 4 . At the same time, one of the 3 LEDs
will come on.

operated under normal conditions, the result of the last

when the “MEM / SET” button 9 is pressed again. The
device has 9 storage spaces (see section on “Functions /
error analysis - the memory function”).

Measuring the body temperature
(forehead mode)
IMPORTANT! It is advisable to carry out 3 meas-
urements in a row at the same place and to take the
highest temperature as the measured value.
 With different room temperatures, let the appliance
lie in the room where the temperature is to be taken
for at least 30 minutes to “acclimatise” it.
 Before measuring your body temperature, you should
relax for about 5 minutes.
 If you have done any physical activity or taken a
bath, wait for at least 30 minutes before taking a
measurement in order to get a measurement that is
as accurate as possible.
 Ensure that the forehead or temple is clean, free of
injuries and not covered with sweat, cosmetics or
ointment.

Take a note of what measurement method you used to

measure the temperature and inform your doctor of it.
1. If the sleep mode has been activated, activate the
thermometer again by pressing any button before
taking the measurement.
2. Carefully press on the protective cap 8 and remove it
with a gentle rotary motion and without using any force.
3. Check that the measuring head 1 and the measuring

Use as a household thermometer (scan mode)
The thermometer can also be used in the house for
non-contact temperature measurements in the range of
–22.0 °C - 80.0 °C (–7.6 °F - 176.0 °F).

Attention! Do not use this mode for measuring

body temperature.
– With this measurement, the current surface temperature
of the object is displayed. It can be different from its
internal temperature, especially if the surface is exposed
to direct sunlight or a draught!
 Due to its design, the thermometer measures the precise
value when its casing has adjusted to room temperature.
That is why you should not hold it in the hand for a
long time when you want to take a measurement and
why you should keep it away from direct sunlight!
 Do not use the appliance immediately after cleaning
the measuring head 1 . The evaporative cooling effect
of the detergent may falsify the measuring result.

- The temperature of bathwater

9. Press the “EAR” button 2 again to carry out further
measurements.
10. The appliance automatically switches off if it is not

In order to return to standard mode, proceed as follows:
1. Press the “FOREHEAD” button 3 and the “EAR”
button 2 repeatedly at the same time until the LC
display 4 again shows the room temperature, date
and time, as well as the symbol (Illustration D).
2. You are now back in standard mode.

 Press and hold down the “EAR” button 2 and the

“FOREHEAD” button 3 at the same time until “°F”
appears behind the temperature display. Switching
from “°F” to “°C” is possible with the same procedure.

 The memory function (memory mode)

IMPORTANT!
The current measurement is always stored in the last storage
space. When all storage spaces have been occupied, the
oldest measurement is always deleted from the memory.

Measurements taken in ear and forehead mode are

automatically stored in the appliance. The measured
values are available again along with information on the
date, time and measurement mode when the “MEM / SET”
button 9 is operated in standard mode. Press the “MEM /
SET” button 9 once to retrieve the value of the last
measurement. The “Memory” symbol (memory mode), the
number of the measurement, date, time and measurement
mode will appear in the LC display 4 (Fig. F). By pressing
the “MEM / SET” button 9 the next storage space along
with its associated measured value will appear. A maximum
of 9 measurements can be stored.
In order to return to standard mode, proceed as follows:

display 4 again shows the room temperature, date
and time, as well as the symbol (Illustration D).
2. You are now in standard mode again.

 Changing the battery

The appliance is fitted with a lithium battery (CR2032,

3 V ) that allows a lot of measurements to be taken. If
the battery is empty, you will be made aware of that by
means of an appropriate error message (see “Functions /
error analysis - problem-solving”).

 Push the battery compartment lid 10 downwards.

Lever the battery 11 out with a small screwdriver.
 Avoid short-circuiting the battery at all cost. A short-
circuit can occur if the screwdriver comes into contact
with the battery and the live parts in the battery
compartment at the same time.
 Insert the new battery into the battery compartment.
Note: Ensure correct polarity. The plus sign on the
battery must point upwards.
 Push the new battery under the metal nose and press
it down until it clicks into place.
 Push the battery compartment lid 10 onto the battery
compartment until it clicks into place (Fig. A).

 Cleaning and care

The device reminds you to clean the measuring sensor af-

ter taking several temperature measurements. When this
occurs, the cleaning symbol 20 appears in the LC display
4 and acoustic signals are heard. In order to avoid con-
tamination with germs, the lens has to be rubbed after
every use with a soft cloth that has been moistened with
70% medical alcohol. The use of hygiene attachments is,
therefore, not necessary. After that, wait for at least
30 minutes before taking another measurement. Please
keep in mind that due to the evaporative cooling effect of
the alcohol, even the smallest amounts can falsify the result.
Clean the housing with a soft, slightly damp cloth. In the
case of more severe soiling a mild detergent can also be
added to the [Link] the appliance in a dry environ-
ment and protect from direct sunlight. The appliance can
be stored at temperatures of –10.0 °C - 55.0 °C
(14.0 °F - 131.0 °F). Temperatures over 80.0 °C are to
be avoided! In order to measure with it, however, it is nec-
essary to let the appliance adjust to room temperature for
a sufficient length of time - otherwise an error message
will be generated (see “Functions / Fault Analysis - Correc-
tion of Problems”). A room temperature of 5.0°C - 59.9°C
(41.0°F - 139.8°F) should also be maintained for the pur-
poses of measurement. If the temperature is outside this
range, an error message is shown (see “Functions / Fault
Analysis - Correction of Problems”).
Remove the battery when not using the appliance for any
length of time.

raturen im Haushalt vorgesehen. Es ersetzt keineswegs die
Untersuchungen des Arztes. Das Gerät ist ausschließlich
für den privaten Gebrauch bestimmt. Eine andere Verwen-

mometer hohe Körpertemperatur-Messwerte
anzeigt! Fieber liegt bei dieser Messmetho-
de oberhalb von 38,0 °C (100,4 °F) vor.
Die rot leuchtende LED 5 ist ein Warnhin-
weis. Messen Sie mehrmals im Abstand von
jeweils 0,5 bis 1 Stunde, um den Verlauf der
Temperatur zu verfolgen. Ihre Messwerte er-
leichtern dem Arzt die Diagnose.
 Verwenden Sie das Thermometer nicht un-
ter extremen Temperaturbedingunge und /
oder im Außenbereich. Ungenaue Messer-
gebnisse sind die Folge. Beachten Sie die
Vorgaben zu Umgebungs- und Lagertem-
peraturen (siehe „Technische Daten“).
 Der Messfühler sollte weder direkt berührt,
noch angepustet werden. Ungenaue Mess-
ergebnisse sind die Folge.
 Mobiltelefone sollten nicht in unmittelbarer
Nähe während der Nutzung des Thermo-
meters verwendet werden. Ungenaue Mes-
sergebnisse können die Folge sein.

pflichtet, Batterien ordnungsgemäß zu
entsorgen!

GEFAHR! Halten Sie Batterien
von Kindern fern, werfen Sie Bat-
terien nicht ins Feuer, schließen
Sie Batterien nicht kurz und neh-
men Sie sie nicht auseinander.
 Entfernen Sie eine erschöpfte Batterie
umgehend aus dem Gerät. Bei Nichtbe-
achtung kann die Batterie über ihre End-
spannung hinaus entladen werden. Es
besteht dann die Gefahr des Auslau-
fens. Falls die Batterie in Ihrem Gerät
ausgelaufen sein sollte, entnehmen Sie
diese sofort, um Schäden am Gerät vor-
zubeugen!
 Vermeiden Sie den Kontakt mit Haut,
Augen und Schleimhäuten. Bei Kontakt
mit Batteriesäure spülen Sie die betroffe-
ne Stelle mit reichlich Wasser ab und /
oder suchen Sie einen Arzt auf!

 Vor der Inbetriebnahme
 Batteriesicherung entfernen

 Schieben Sie den Batteriefachdeckel 10 nach unten.

 Ziehen Sie die Schutzfolie an der Lasche aus dem
Batteriefach.
 Schieben Sie den Batteriefachdeckel 10 wieder auf
das Batteriefach, bis er hörbar einrastet (Abb. A).
– Beim Einschalten wird ein interner Abgleich und ein
Selbsttest des LC-Displays durchgeführt.
– Um nachzuprüfen, ob alle Balken der Ziffern richtig
angesteuert werden, überprüfen Sie beim Einschalten
das Bild des LC-Displays 4 Ihres Gerätes mit dem
Muster (Abb. B).

Diese Einstellung ist nur bei der Erstinbetriebnahme und

nach Batteriewechsel erforderlich.
1. Drücken und halten Sie die „MEM / SET”-Taste 9 für
zwei Sekunden im Standard-Modus gedrückt. Ein Signal-
ton ertönt. Das Gerät befindet sich im Setup-Modus.
2. Drücken Sie die „MEM / SET”-Taste 9 , um zwischen
dem 12- bzw. 24-Stunden-Format zu wählen.

 3. Drücken Sie die „FOREHEAD“-Taste 3 . Die Stunden
blinken und können mit der „MEM / SET“-Taste 9
korrigiert werden.
4. Drücken Sie die „FOREHEAD“-Taste 3 erneut. Die
Minuten blinken und können mit der „MEM / SET“-
Taste 9 korrigiert werden.
 Wiederholen Sie die Schritte 3. und 4., um die Werte
für Jahr, Monat und Tag einzustellen bzw. den Sleep-
Modus ein- / auszuschalten.
 Drücken Sie abschließend die „FOREHEAD“-Taste 3 .
Die Einstellungen werden übergenommen und das
Gerät kehrt in den Standard-Modus zurück.

 Temperaturmessungen

Raumtemperatur messen (Standard-Modus)

Wenn Sie die Einstellung der Uhrzeit und des Datums
abgeschlossen haben und nichts weiter unternehmen,
wechselt das Gerät zur Schonung der Batterie nach
1 Minute in den Sleep-Modus. Im Auslieferungszustand
ist der Sleep-Modus, angezeigt durch das Symbol ,
aktiviert und das LC-Display 4 wird komplett ausgeschaltet.
Bei deaktiviertem Sleep-Modus bleibt das Gerät eingeschal-
tet und es werden Uhrzeit und Raumtemperatur weiterhin
angezeigt und 1 x pro Minute aktualisiert. Das LC-Display
4 zeigt Uhrzeit und Datum wechselweise an (Abb. D).

Körpertemperatur messen (Ohren-Modus)
WICHTIG! Es wird empfohlen, 3 Messungen hinter-
einander am selben Ohr durchzuführen und dabei die
höchste Temperatur als Messwert anzunehmen. Die neue
Messung kann jeweils gestartet werden, wenn die Anzeige
„ “ erlischt.
 Verwenden Sie das Thermometer nicht, wenn bei der
Messung Schmerzen auftreten. Der Gehörgang könn-
te geschädigt werden.
 Verwenden Sie das Thermometer nicht bei äußeren
Ohrenerkrankungen (z.B.: Gehörgangsentzündungen,
Ohrmuschelverletzungen). Der Zustand der erkrankten
Stellen könnte sich verschlechtern.
 Verwenden Sie das Thermometer nicht unmittelbar
nach dem Baden oder Schwimmen mit feuchtem
Gehörgang. Der Gehörgang könnte geschädigt werden.
 Reinigen Sie wegen der Gefahr der Verunreinigung
des Messkopfes 1 das Gerät nach jedem Gebrauch.
 Messen Sie in diesem Modus nur die Temperatur im
Ohr und an keiner anderen Körperstelle.

1. Falls der Sleep-Modus aktiv ist, aktivieren Sie das

Thermometer vor der Messung durch Drücken einer
beliebigen Taste.
2. Drücken Sie vorsichtig auf die Schutzkappe 8 und
entfernen Sie sie ohne Kraftaufwendung mit einer
leichten Drehbewegung.
3. Überzeugen Sie sich, dass der Messkopf 1 und der
Messfühler sauber sind.

 4. Reinigen Sie vorsichtig den Gehörgang des Ohres mit
einem Wattestäbchen.
5. Ziehen Sie die Ohrmuschel leicht in Richtung Hinter-
kopf schräg nach oben / nach hinten, damit der
Gehörgang frei zugänglich wird und sich keine Hin-
dernisse zwischen Messfühler und Trommelfell
befinden.
6. Halten Sie die Ohrmuschel im leicht gezogenen
Zustand und führen nun den Messkopf 1 vorsichtig
in den Gehörgang ein.
7. Drücken Sie kurz die „EAR“-Taste 2 . Es erscheint das
Symbol im LC-Display 4 und nach einem Signalton
beginnt die Messung.
8. Das Ende der Messung wird durch 2 Signaltöne
signalisiert.
9. Nun können Sie das Messergebnis auf dem LC-Display
4 ablesen. Gleichzeitig leuchtet eine der 3 LEDs.
Hinweis: LED grün 7 : kein Fieber 34,0 °C - 37,4 °C
(93,2 °F - 99,4 °F)
LED orange 6 : leichte Temperaturerhöhung
37,5 °C - 37,9 °C (99,5 °F - 100,3 °F)

10. Die Anzeige kann sowohl in „°C“ als auch in „°F“
erfolgen (siehe “Funktionen / Fehleranalyse -

11. Warten Sie, bis die Anzeige „ “ erlischt, bevor Sie
mit einer neuen Messung beginnen.

Hinweis: Das Ausschalten des Gerätes erfolgt automatisch,
wenn es länger als 1 Minute nicht betätigt wird. Bei akti-
viertem Sleep-Modus schaltet sich das LC-Display 4 aus.
Bei deaktiviertem Sleep-Modus schaltet das Gerät in den
Standard-Modus. Wenn das Thermometer unter normalen
Bedingungen betrieben wurde, wird immer das Ergebnis der
jeweils letzten Messung vor dem Ausschalten automatisch
gespeichert. Der Messwert steht mit Datum, Uhrzeit und
Messmodus wieder zur Verfügung, wenn die „MEM / SET“-
Taste 9 erneut betätigt wird. Das Gerät hat 9 Speicher-
plätze (siehe Kapitel „Funktionen / Fehleranalyse - Die
Memory-Funktion“).

Körpertemperatur messen (Stirn-Modus)

WICHTIG! Es wird empfohlen, 3 Messungen hinter-
einander an derselben Stelle durchzuführen und dabei
die höchste Temperatur als Messwert anzunehmen.
 Bei unterschiedlichen Raumtemperaturen das Gerät zur
„Akklimatisierung” mindestens 20 bis 30 Minuten in
den Raum legen, in welchem die Messung erfolgen soll.
 Bevor Sie Ihre Körpertemperatur messen, sollten Sie
sich ca. 5 Minuten entspannen.
 Körperliche Aktivitäten oder ein Bad sollten mindestens
30 Minuten zurückliegen, damit ein möglichst genaues
Messergebnis erzielt werden kann.
 Achten Sie auch darauf, dass die Stirn bzw. Schläfe
sauber ist, frei von Verletzungen und sich weder
Schweiß, Kosmetika oder Salbe darauf befindet.

Merken Sie sich, mit welchem Messverfahren Sie die
Temperatur gemessen haben und teilen Sie dies auch
Ihrem Arzt mit.
1. Falls der Sleep-Modus aktiv ist, aktivieren Sie das

die Messung.
6. Das Ende der Messung wird durch 2 Signaltöne
signalisiert.
7. Nun können Sie das Messergebnis auf dem LC-Display
4 ablesen. Gleichzeitig leuchtet eine der 3 LEDs.

Hinweis: Das Ausschalten des Gerätes erfolgt automa-

Benutzung als Thermometer im Haushalt

(Scan-Modus)
Das Thermometer lässt sich auch im Haushalt für
berührungsfreie Temperaturmessungen im Bereich von
–22,0 °C - 80,0 °C (-7,6 °F - 176,0 °F) benutzen.

ACHTUNG! Diesen Modus nicht für Messungen

der Körpertemperatur verwenden.
– Bei dieser Messung wird die aktuelle Oberflächentem-
peratur des Gegenstandes angezeigt.

Diese kann sich von seiner Innentemperatur unterschei-
den, besonders, wenn die Oberfläche der Sonnenein-
strahlung oder einem Luftzug ausgesetzt ist!
 Das Thermometer misst bauartbedingt den exakten Wert,
wenn sein Gehäuse Raumtemperatur angenommen hat.
Behalten Sie es zur Messung deshalb nicht zu lange
in der Hand und halten Sie es von direkter Sonnen-
strahlung fern!
 Benutzen Sie das Gerät nicht sofort nach der Reinigung
des Messkopfes 1 . Die Verdunstungskälte des Reini-
gungsmittels kann das Messergebnis verfälschen.

Beispiel-Anwendungen:
- Milchtemperatur im Babyfläschchen
- Badewassertemperatur

1. Falls der Sleep-Modus aktiv ist, aktivieren Sie das

Thermometer vor der Messung durch Drücken einer
beliebigen Taste.
2. Drücken Sie vorsichtig auf die Schutzkappe 8 und
entfernen Sie sie ohne Kraftaufwendung mit einer

3. Überzeugen Sie sich, dass der Messkopf 1 und

4. Drücken Sie gleichzeitig die „FOREHEAD“-Taste 3
und die „EAR“-Taste 2 so oft, bis im LC-Display 4
„Food“ angezeigt wird (Abb. E).

1 cm an die Flüssigkeit und / oder Oberfläche, deren
Temperatur Sie messen wollen.
6. Drücken Sie die „EAR“-Taste 2 , um die Messung zu
starten.
7. Nun können Sie das Messergebnis auf dem LC-Display
4 ablesen (Abb. E).
8. Die Anzeige kann sowohl in „°C“ als auch in „°F“
erfolgen (siehe “Funktionen / Fehleranalyse -
Temperatureinheit wählen“).
9. Drücken Sie erneut die „EAR“-Taste 2 , um weitere
Messungen durchzuführen.
10. Das Ausschalten des Gerätes erfolgt automatisch, wenn
es länger als 1 Minute nicht betätigt wird. Eine Speiche-
rung im Gerät erfolgt für diese Anwendung nicht.

Um in den Standard-Modus zurückzukehren, gehen Sie

wie folgt vor:
1. Drücken Sie gleichzeitig die „FOREHEAD“-Taste 3
und die „EAR“-Taste 2 so oft, bis im LC-Display 4
wieder Raumtemperatur, Datum und Uhrzeit, sowie
das Symbol angezeigt werden (Abb. D).
2. Sie befinden sich jetzt wieder im Standard-Modus.

Temperaturanzeige „°F“ erscheint. Ein Umschalten von
„°F“ in „°C“ ist mit der gleichen Prozedur möglich.

 Die Memory-Funktion
(Memory-Modus)

WICHTIG!
Die aktuelle Messung wird stets auf dem letzten Speicher-
platz abgelegt. Sind alle Speicherplätze belegt, wird immer
die älteste Messung aus dem Speicher entfernt.

Die Messungen im Ohren- und Stirn-Modus werden auto-

matisch im Gerät gespeichert. Die Messwerte stehen mit
Datum, Uhrzeit und Messmodus wieder zur Verfügung, wenn
die „MEM / SET“-Taste 9 im Standard-Modus betätigt wird.
Drücken Sie 1 x die „MEM / SET”-Taste 9 , um den Wert
der letzten Messung aufzurufen. Im LC-Display 4 erscheint
das Symbol „Memory“ (Memory-Modus), die Nummer
der Messung, Datum, Uhrzeit und Messmodus (Abb. F).
Durch erneutes Drücken der „MEM / SET”-Taste 9 erscheint
der nächste Speicherplatz mit dem dazugehörigen Messwert.
Es können maximal 9 Messwerte gespeichert werden. Um
in den Standard-Modus zurückzukehren, gehen Sie wie
folgt vor:

 1. Drücken Sie gleichzeitig die „FOREHEAD“-Taste 3
und die „EAR“-Taste 2 so oft, bis im LC-Display 4
wieder Raumtemperatur, Datum und Uhrzeit, sowie

2. Sie befinden sich jetzt wieder im Standard-Modus.

 Batteriewechsel

Das Gerät ist mit einer Lithium-Batterie (CR2032, 3 V )

ausgestattet, die sehr viele Messungen ermöglicht. Ist die
Batterie leer, werden Sie durch eine entsprechende Fehler-
meldung darauf aufmerksam gemacht (siehe „Funktionen /
Fehleranalyse - Behebung von Problemen“).
 Schieben Sie den Batteriefachdeckel 10 nach unten.
Hebeln Sie mit einem kleinen Schraubendreher die
Batterie 11 heraus.
 Vermeiden Sie unbedingt einen Kurzschluss der Batterie.
Ein Kurzschluss kann entstehen, wenn der Schrauben-
dreher gleichzeitig mit der Batterie und leitenden Tei-
len im Batteriefach in Berührung kommt.
 Setzen Sie die neue Batterie in das Batteriefach ein.
Hinweis: Achten Sie dabei auf die richtige Polarität.
Die Beschriftung der Batterie muss mit dem Pluszeichen
nach oben zeigen.
 Schieben Sie die neue Batterie unter die Metallnase
und drücken Sie sie nach unten, bis sie hörbar einrastet.
 Schieben Sie den Batteriefachdeckel 10 wieder auf
das Batteriefach, bis er hörbar einrastet (Abb. A).

 Reinigung und Pflege

Nach einigen Temperaturmessungen erinnert Sie das

Gerät daran, den Messfühler zu reinigen. Hierzu erscheint
das Symbol Reinigung 20 im LC-Display 4 und
Signaltöne erklingen.
Die Linse in der Öffnung des Messfühlers ist das
empfindlichste Teil des Gerätes.
Seien Sie sehr vorsichtig, wenn eine Reinigung erforderlich
wird. Zur Vermeidung einer Verunreinigung mit Krankheits-
keimen muss nach jedem Gebrauch die Linse mit einem
weichen Tuch, das mit 70 %-igem medizinischem Alkohol
befeuchtet ist, abgerieben werden. Die Verwendung von
Hygieneaufsätzen ist daher nicht notwendig. Warten Sie
danach mindestens 30 Minuten, bis eine neue Messung
erfolgen kann. Bedenken Sie, dass wegen der Verdunstungs-
kälte des Alkohols auch schon kleinste Mengen das Ergebnis
verfälschen können.
Reinigen Sie das Gehäuse mit einem weichen, leicht
angefeuchteten Tuch. Bei stärkeren Verschmutzungen kann
dem Reinigungswasser auch ein mildes Reinigungsmittel
zugegeben werden.
Bewahren Sie das Gerät in einer trockenen Umgebung
auf und vermeiden Sie die Bestrahlung mit direktem
Sonnenlicht. Das Gerät kann bei Temperaturen von
–10,0 °C - 55,0 °C (14,0 °F - 131,0 °F) gelagert werden.
Temperaturen über 80,0 °C sind zu vermeiden! Zum
Messen ist es jedoch unbedingt notwendig, dass das Gerät
ausreichend lange an die Raumtemperatur angepasst wird,

anderenfalls wird eine Fehlermeldung ausgegeben (siehe
„Funktionen / Fehleranalyse - Behebung von Problemen“).
Ebenso ist zum Messen eine Raumtemperatur von
5,0 °C - 59,9 °C (41,0 °F - 139,8 °F) einzuhalten. Liegt
sie außerhalb dieses Bereiches, erfolgt eine Fehlermel-
dung (siehe „Funktionen / Fehleranalyse - Behebung von
Problemen“).
Entfernen Sie die Batterie, wenn Sie das Gerät längere
Zeit nicht einsetzen.

 Garantie und Service

Sie erhalten auf dieses Gerät 3 Jahre Garantie

ab Kaufdatum. Das Gerät wurde sorgfältig
produziert und vor Anlieferung gewissenhaft
geprüft. Bitte bewahren Sie den Kassenbon als
Nachweis für den Kauf auf. Bitte setzen Sie sich
im Garantiefall mit Ihrer Servicestelle telefonisch
in Verbindung. Nur so kann eine kostenlose
Einsendung Ihrer Ware gewährleistet werden.
Die Garantieleistung gilt nur für Material- oder Fabrikations-
fehler, nicht aber für Verschleißteile oder für Beschädigungen
an zerbrechlichen Teilen, z.B. Schalter oder Akkus. Das
Produkt ist lediglich für den privaten und nicht für den
gewerblichen Gebrauch bestimmt. Bei missbräuchlicher
