Objetivos:

- To implement the use of present continuous to talk about future arrangements.


- To express plans and future intentions by making use of present continuous and other tenses.

Procedimentales:

- To review and identify other uses for the present simple, the present continuous, “going to”,
and their corresponding time indicators (markers).
- To compose short texts talking about future arrangements.
- To identify different logical connectors used in writing.

Apreciado estudiante:

A continuación, usted encontrará una guía detallada que lo va a llevar a reconocer los diferentes
usos que puede tener el presente simple, el presente continuo y el verbo “going to” para referirse a
diferentes planes e intenciones que queremos expresar en futuro. El desarrollo de esta guía debe
trabajarse en conjunto con el archivo de audio que la acompaña. En este audio usted encontrará
explicaciones claras de los cuadros y ejemplos que componen la guía. Esta guía comprende un
periodo de trabajo de 2 semanas, el cual está proyectado en 4 horas de trabajo semanales. Así
mismo, usted podrá solicitar tutorías a su docente por los canales de comunicación establecidos. Los
docentes tenemos toda la disposición de colaborarles.

Cabe recordar que momentos como el que vivimos, son los que prueban que la curiosidad humana y
su deseo de conquistar metas son interminables. Es por ello que este nuevo reto es una oportunidad
de demostrar ese deseo que nos hace ser, que nos hace conseguir objetivos pese a nuestros
miedos. Como docente los invito a asumir este reto, para que la vida siga su curso y derrotemos todo
eso que nos quiere impedir llegar a nuestra meta común: ser profesionales que construyan una
mejor sociedad.

present simple, present continuous and “going to”. Pay special attention to the words and structures
that form the sentences in the examples.

TIME MARKERS

Time markers are words that allow us to know what is the time or moment in which a situation
is happening. Take a look at the following table:

Adverbs of frequency

Adverbs of frequency are words that allow us to


know the frequency of the things people do.

They are time expressions for the present simple


mainly.

For example

I always get up at 7:00 am.

Time markers. 
There exist a sort of words that helps to express and understand the context of a conversation, these
expression are really important for each verbal tense, and some time they have a specific place in the
sentence

WHAT ARE YOU DOING AFTER THE QUARANTINE?

First of all I would like to make sure that everything will be alright , and then to start I am going to dance on a
bar with my friends and maybe we dinking something to celebrate that we are meeting to each other again and
then enjoy the moment.

In second place I am traveling to Bogota with my mom and my sister, we have already made plans to visit my
aunt and also I am seeing with my friend an then we are having a dinner with him and maybe we are going to
the cinema or we are eating some one of us favorite ice cream.

Finally we are waiting with my family to my cousin because she is coming on December from USA with her
husband we are so exciting for that! We are having a party and then we are celebrating to teach him many
things about Colombian culture.
