EL CYBERBULLYING
En la actualidad, con los avances tecnológicos el internet se ha convertido en una
muestra del progreso social en nuestros tiempos, siendo imprescindible para la
vida cotidiana, acercándonos a lugares y con personas a miles de kilómetros de
distancia, solo con conectarse a la red, pero el ser humano adoptó esta
herramienta para realizar todo tipo de actos ofensivos, y es allí donde se convierte
en un arma de doble filo, ya que genera muchos peligros, entre ellos se encuentra
la modalidad del cyberbullying. Esta práctica cada vez se hace más común,
siendo los jóvenes, el grupo más vulnerable, quienes se han visto afectados por
calumnias, injurias, difamaciones y discriminaciones por su orientación sexual,
religiosa, etc.
El cyberbullying es un tipo de acoso que se da precisamente por medio de las
redes sociales, los jóvenes poseen más de una, ya que formar parte de ellas,
significa que están a la moda y por supuesto al tanto de lo que sucede a través del
mundo virtual. Las redes sociales fueron creadas para relacionarse con círculos de
amigos, ya sea por la lejanía o por las ocupaciones diarias; sin embargo muchas
personas lo utilizan para otros fines, ya que los jóvenes al acceder a una de estas
redes aceptan a cualquier individuo ya sean que lo conozcan o no, y es en esos
casos cuando son víctimas de cyberbullying; muchos de ellos no cuentan con la
supervisión de sus padres o de algún adulto responsable para que lo guie al
momento de estar navegando, y esto es un problema que se da por el uso
excesivo de las redes sociales y por la escasa supervisión de los padres al
momento que los jóvenes navegan en internet.
La confianza y la comunicación juegan un rol muy importante al momento de
enfrentarse a una situación de estas en el hogar, es importante hacerles sentir que
la situación por la que están atravesando no es culpa de ellos y que a muchos
jóvenes les puede pasar lo mismo, esto generara una atmosfera de seguridad y
confianza lo que permitirá que el adolescente comunique lo que le sucede
argumentándolo con testimonios de casos similares que hayan sido registrados.
Los padres de familia deben de preocuparse más e investigar a fondo que le
sucede al joven si nota algún cambio en su estado de ánimo y en su conducta, de
igual forma se debe poner límites y por supuesto estar alertas ante el mínimo
cambio de actitud.
El cyberbullying ha cobrado muchas víctimas mortales en varios países, y es que
sin duda esta modalidad acaba con la tranquilidad del individuo, haciéndolo sentir
temeroso e incluso muchas veces los atacantes los obligan a realizar actos que
atentan contra su integridad moral.
Finalmente, las situaciones de acoso a menores es algo que ha sucedido siempre,
ahora bien, con la llegada de las nuevas tecnologías este problema se ha
agravado, es por lo que, es importante la responsabilidad de los padres y de la
sociedad en general preservar el derecho del menor a su pleno desarrollo,
formación y socialización, así como su libertad sexual futura, y a su integridad
moral.

supervision of their parents or a responsible adult to guide them when browsing, and this
is a problem that occurs due to the excessive use of social networks and the scarce
supervision of parents at the time that young people surf the internet.
Trust and communication play a very important role when facing a situation like this at
home, it is important to make them feel that the situation they are going through is not their
fault and that the same thing can happen to many young people This will generate an
atmosphere of security and trust, which will allow the adolescent to communicate what is
happening to him, arguing it with testimonies of similar cases that have been registered.
Parents should be more concerned and investigate thoroughly what happens to the young
person if they notice any change in their mood and behavior, in the same way they should
set limits and of course be alert to the slightest change in attitude.
Cyberbullying has claimed many fatalities in several countries, and it is undoubtedly that
this modality destroys the tranquility of the individual, making him feel fearful and even
many times the attackers force them to carry out acts that threaten their moral integrity.
Finally, situations of harassment of minors is something that has always happened,
however, with the arrival of new technologies this problem has worsened, which is why it is
important the responsibility of parents and society in general to preserve the right of the
minor to their full development, training and socialization, as well as their future sexual
freedom, and their moral integrity.
