This is my kitchen. My mom cooks lunch here every day. This is my

living room. My sister cleans the living room every afternoon. This is my bedroom.

I do my homework here every night.

I love my family and I feel happy regularly, but I miss school.

CORNELL’S HOUSE1

Hello, I’m Cornell and I’m twelve years old. I am from the Democratic Republic of the

Congo. We are under lockdown here and schools are closed. I stay at home to prevent

the spread of COVID-19.

This is my house.
This is my kitchen. My dad makes breakfast here

every morning. This is my dining room. My family eat together here every day.

This is my bathroom. We take a shower here every evening. I like doing different

activities with my family. I always feel happy, but I miss my friends.

La semana pasada, hablamos sobre las actividades que te gustan y no te gustan hacer, y usamos “like” y “hate”.
¿Recuerdas? Esta semana, seguiremos hablando de actividades, pero nos enfocaremos en las rutinas y hábitos
que tu familia y tú tienen. Recuerda, un hábito es una conducta que se repite constantemente. En inglés, cuando
hablamos de rutinas o hábitos, usamos frases de frecuencia con la palabra “every”. Lo vimos en una clase
anterior. ¿Lo recuerdas?

Observa estas oraciones cuando describas las rutinas que tienen tú y tu familia. Lee otra vez las descripciones de
Muna y Cornell y completa el cuadro con un ejemplo de hábitos.

¿Qué podemos concluir?

Escribe (V) verdadero o (F) falso.

a. Las frases con “every” te dan información específica sobre la frecuencia

b. En inglés, usualmente, usamos las frases de frecuencia al final de la (V)

oración.

STEP 1: First, draw your house and label the rooms using “this is”.

STEP 2: Then, write 5 activities you do in those rooms. You can use the phrases in the boxes. Follow the example:

STEP 3: Start your description with the phrase: I stay at home to prevent the spread of COVID-19.
STEP 4: Write your full description, separate your five sentences with periods (.) and add the drawing of your house (STEP
1). You can use the following template.
