ADVERBS
1. DEFINICIÓN Y FUNCIÓN: Un adverbio se define como la parte de la oración cuya función principal es la de
complementar o modificar el significado de un verbo, un adjetivo u otro adverbio con el propósito de hacer
que el significado de la oración sea más claro y preciso.
ADJETIVO: Santiago swims fast…………… Santiago swims very fast.
VERBO: Santiago swims ………………….Santiago swims slow………….... Santiago swims slowly
ADVERBIO: Santiago swims quickly………..Santiago swims too quickly.
2. IDENTIFICACIÓN - UBICACIÓN:
Usualmente, los adverbios en inglés son adjetivos modificados que terminan en la partícula «-ly».
Otra forma para identificar un adverbio es mediante la ubicación de las palabras dentro de la oración, inmediatamente
antes o después de la palabra que está modificando.
3. CLASIFICACIÓN
