Taller N° 2 – Past Simple (Part 2)

DESCRIPCIÓN DEL TEMA:
LEER CON ATENCION: en este taller 2 vamos a continuar y terminar con el tema del pasado simple.
Esta vez trabajaremos los verbos irregulares, para este tipo de verbos no aplica las reglas de agregar
-ed al final, sino que cambia completamente su forma (por eso llevan el nombre de irregulares). Para
realizar los ejercicios, debemos observar atentamente la lista de los verbos a continuación, nos
centraremos en especial en las columnas infinitive y past simple.
Este listado NO debe es escribirlo en el cuaderno, pero si lo deben tener presente para
desarrollar las actividades porque deben consultarlo para saber cual es el pasado de un verbo
para completar alguna oración, por ejemplo:
I (be) ______ at home yesterday
Para completar esta oración en pasado debo buscar en la columna “infinitive” del listado donde esta el
verbo “be” una vez ubicado el verbo, miro cual es su forma en pasado en la columna “past simple” y lo
uso para completar la oracion. Para este ejemplo la frase anterior quedaría así:
I was at home yesterday
Yo estuve en casa ayer
Porque “was” es la forma en pasado del verbo “be”

Ejercicio 4: En el siguiente ejercicio encontrarán mezclados los dos tipos de verbos
en pasado simple (regulares e irregulares) debes tenerlo en cuenta para poder
resolver correctamente.
A) Change the verbs in brackets into the past tense. Some are regular and some are irregular.
Yesterday (to be) a busy day. I (wake) up at 6am, (have)
breakfast quickly and then I (go) to work. I (finish)
at noon and then (eat) some lunch. Afterwards I (drive)

EVALUACIÓN Y FORMA DE ENTREGA:
1. Se realizarán llamadas telefónicas a los estudiantes con dos objetivos: 1) verificar comprensión
del tema y dar retroalimentación y; 2) para evaluar aprendizajes una vez estos hayan sido
consolidados.
2. Los estudiantes entregarán los talleres vía WhatsApp.
