INTRODUCCIÓN
La topografía (del griego τόπος, ‘lugar’, y -grafía», ‘descripción’) es la
ciencia que estudia el conjunto de principios y procedimientos que tienen por
objeto la representación gráfica de la superficie de la Tierra, con sus formas y
detalles; tanto naturales como artificiales. Esta representación tiene lugar sobre
superficies planas, limitándose a pequeñas extensiones de terreno, utilizando la
denominación de «geodesia» para áreas mayores. De manera muy simple,
puede decirse que para un topógrafo la Tierra es plana (geométricamente),
mientras que para la geodesia no lo es.
Los instrumentos topográficos tienen múltiples aplicaciones en la topografía, la
topografía tiene por objeto medir extensiones de tierras, usando los
instrumentos que nos permiten realizar nuestro trabajo con más precisión,
entonces tomando los datos necesarios para poder representar sobre un plano,
a escala, su forma y accidentes.
Es por ello que las cosas, inmuebles que están de por medio en la superficie
terrestre se les tiene que representar con algún símbolo topográfico, es para tal
fin que se tiene previsto presentar este informe de “SIMBOLOGIA
TOPOGRAFICA” con algunas fotos adjuntas de los casos que más
frecuentemente se presentan.
OBJETIVOS
GENERAL
Reconocer y dibujar los símbolos más usados en la topografía.
ESPECIFICOS
Dibujar los símbolos topográficos para saber su representación común.
Aprender la simbología topográfica para realizar planos utilizando dicha
simbología.
Plasmar en imágenes los símbolos, para determinar su significado.

En la actualidad es de vital importancia en el estudio de la ingeniería la forma
de representación de varios aspectos en las diferentes ramas y especialidades.
Es por esta razón que el ingeniero recurre al dibujo como una forma
de lenguaje para llevar a la realidad esa representación de sus ideas para
luego ser ejecutadas en su obra.
A continuación se realiza un estudio profundo de los parámetros que encierran
cada uno de los dibujos o símbolos utilizados en la ingeniería. Estos símbolos,
utilizados para expresar características existentes sobre la superficie de
la tierra, se hacen cuando es posible, un tanto semejante a los elementos u
objetos representados como se varían ya sea en planta o en elevación. No se
intenta dar aquí símbolos para todos los elementos que pudieran expresarse en
un mapa; y realmente puede ocurrir que haya que evitar símbolos para algún
caso particular.
Este tipo de dibujo es resaltante en el estudio de algunas ramas de Ing., ya que
permite la comprensión y exploración de los recursos del subsuelo al igual que
las formas de construcción.
Por último los símbolos o detalles permiten conocer en forma gráfica la
superficie terrestre las evaluaciones y depresiones que es lo que conocemos
como relieve al igual que los demás rasgos del suelo.
Simbología son los símbolos, figuras o letras que utilizas para representar una
cosa, por ejemplo, el más común npt que es nivel de piso terminado, y así
inventar símbolos, un círculo puede ser un punto, una "s" acostada un cambio
de nivel, etc,

Al terminar el presente informe el alumno está en plena condición de
reconocer perfectamente la simbología topográfica.
El reconocimiento de la simbología se hace más fácil con las imágenes
expuestas.
El alumno al relacionar la simbología y las imágenes expuestas está en
la capacidad de asimilar su significado.
