Una de las mayores intrigas del mundo contemporáneo gira alrededor de
la gran cantidadde estrellas de la música que, de forma trágica,
acaban muertos a los 27 años.

En este artículo analizamos en detalle quiénes son los 30 personajes

famosos que forman parte del macabro Club de los 27. Sigue leyendo
para descubrir cómo, cuándo, dónde murieron y qué hay detrás de sus
extrañas desapariciones…

1. ¿Qué es el club de los 27?

Se conoce por “Club de los 27” a un selecto grupo de cantantes de rock
que fallecieron cuando tenían 27 años. El autor Eric Segalstad trata en
profundidad la historia de este fenómeno en su libro The 27s: The
Greatest Myth of Rock & Roll.

La idea apareció por primera vez en 1971, tras la muerte de Jim

Morrison, quien fue el último de una sucesión de cuatro fallecimientos en
apenas dos años: Robert Jones, Brian Jones, Jimi Hendrix y Janis Joplin.

Actualmente suele referirse a seis cantantes (los anteriormente

mencionados más Kurt Cobain, que fue incluido al club de los 27 más
tarde), pero hay muchos más artistas muertos a los 27, y no solo figuras
relacionadas con el mundo de la música…

2. 20 cantantes pertenecientes al Club de los 27

2.1. Brian Jones

El británico Brian Jones fue un músico genial pero incomprendido o poco

compatible con la industria musical de su tiempo. Fue fundador del
mítico grupo Rolling Stones, al cual perteneció hasta un mes antes de
su muerte.

Había nacido el 28 de febrero de 1942 y se había apasionado con los
clásicos del blues, línea musical que más le interesaba. En los Rolling
Stones se impuso por razones comerciales la dupla de Mick Jagger y
Keith Richards, así que las composiciones de Jones quedaron en
segundo plano.

En junio de 1969 se separó del grupo, y sólo tres semanas más tarde fue
hallado en el fondo de su piscina. Con esta se inicia una serie de
muertes de artistas con 27 años que luego se conocería como 27s
club.

2.2. Jimi Hendrix

Considerado entre los mejores guitarristas de la historia, Jimi Hendrix fue

un chico que debió superar muchas dificultades debido al alcoholismo e
inestabilidad financiera de sus padres, a lo que se suma el hecho de ser
negro en tiempos de segregación.
Hendrix nació en Estados Unidos en noviembre de 1942 y luchó mucho
para poder adquirir su primera guitarra. Cuando hacía el servicio militar
se destacó por su habilidad con el instrumento y se convirtió en músico
asiduo de los clubes del ejército.

Tuvo una brevísima carrera profesional, de apenas 4 años, pero

que influyó muchísimo en la historia del rock. Su estilo único, que lo
llevaba a excentricidades como prenderle fuego a una guitarra o tocarla
con los dientes, aparte de un enorme talento, lo llevaron a un éxito
rotundo. Fue el artista mejor pagado en el festival de Woodstock.

Jimi Hendrix falleció en septiembre de 1970, en Inglaterra, tras ingerir

una sobredosis de barbitúricos que mezcló con vino.

2.3. Janis Joplin

La primera gran estrella femenina del rock and roll fue la californiana
Janis Joplin. Nacida en enero de 1943 tuvo, al igual que Hendrix, una
carrera muy corta pero intensa y llena de éxitos. Aunque nació en una
familia funcional, Janis no encajaba bien en ningún espacio.
Joplin se destacó por su interpretación poderosa y desgarrada, y dio el
salto a la fama en 1967, con un grupo de rock psicodélico. Luego dejaría
esa agrupación para hacer carrera como solista. Cinco de sus sencillos
entraron en la lista del Top 100 de Billboard. También participó en
Woodstock, con notable éxito.

En 1970 viajó a Brasil para desintoxicarse de la heroína y a su regreso

inició un proyecto con una nueva banda. Una gira exitosa dio pie a la
grabación del álbum Pearl, pero antes de terminarlo, Janis se sumó a la
lista de cantantes fallecidos a los 27 años, debido a una sobredosis de
heroína.

2.4 Jim Morrison

La muerte de Jim Morrison, cuyas causa exacta aún o se ha esclarecido,

aunque se presume sobredosis de heroína, sería la que inspiraría el
concepto de “el club de los 27”, dado que en apenas dos años, el rock
perdió a cuatro de sus mayores estrellas y todos tenían esa edad.

Morrison, estadounidense, nació en Melbourne, EEUU, en diciembre de
1943, y con el tiempo se convirtió en un gran músico, a pesar de la
oposición de sus padres.  Como vocalista de la banda The Doors
cosechó enorme éxito y entonces se desvinculó permanentemente de su
familia. 

Era de carácter mas bien retraído y rehusaba consistentemente que se le

considerase por separado. Insistía en que el simplemente era “el
vocalista de The Doors”. Por otra parte, en más de una ocasión se vio en
problemas con la justicia por comportarse de manera reñida con las
buenas costumbres.
Al igual que otros cantantes de su época, Morrison se hizo asiduo a
drogas recreativas, de modo que su muerte, ocurrida en 1971, se
atribuye a tal causa. Tras los hechos no hubo autopsia.

2.5 Robert Johnsons

Pertenece a una generación anterior a los cuatro antes mencionados, así

que es un precursor del “27’s club”. Nació en Estados Unidos en 1911,
nieto de esclavos negros, así que vivió en un ambiente complicado y de
pobreza. Su padre, además, fue un amante ocasional de su madre, de
modo que originalmente tuvo otro apellido, que cambió a Johnsons
cuando supo su verdadero origen.

A diferencia del club original, Johnsons fue un guitarrista de blues y no de
rock; sin embargo se le conoce como “el abuelo del rocanrol”. Tuvo
interés por la música desde joven y primero practicó el arpa y la
armónica, pero luego se hizo un maestro de la guitarra, que usaba
igualmente tres o cuatro afinaciones distintas del instrumento.

Grabó 29 canciones (13 de ellas tienen dos versiones) entre 1936 y

1937. Falleció en 1938 en circunstancias aún no esclarecidas, dado
que, como con Morrison, tampoco hubo autopsia. Se baraja el
envenenamiento, sífilis, tuberculosis, y hasta por arma de fuego.

2.6 Kurt Cobain

En 1967, el mismo año en que los miembros del original Club de los 27
hacía historia en el rocanrol, en Washington nacía Kurt Cobain, quien
haría renacer la leyenda de los cantantes de rock que mueren a los 27,
más de dos décadas después de la muerte de Morrison.

Cobain, estadounidense, fue el compositor, cantante y guitarrista de la
banda Nirvana, con la que obtuvo un arrollador éxito, incluyendo triple
disco de platino en EEUU con su segundo álbum, Nevermind, de 1991.

Pero Kurt Cobain estaba marcado por el temprano divorcio de sus

padres, que lo había hecho muy infeliz en su infancia. Alguna vez
mencionó que le gustaría entrar en el Club de los 27. Con el éxito
económico vino también la adicción a la heroína. Según la versión oficial,
Cobain se disparó en la cabeza en 1994, sin embargo, hay turbiedad en
la investigación y se sospecha de su esposa.

2.7 Amy Winehouse

En 1983 nació en Inglaterra la segunda mujer que entraría en el fatídico

club de cantantes muertos a los 27: Amy Winehouse. Esta muchacha de
voz explosiva lanzó su primer disco en 2003, con regular éxito en Gran
Bretaña, pero tres años más tarde, con Back to Black, obtuvo seis
nominaciones al Grammy, ganando cinco.

Cantaba desde niña y, al igual que en el caso de Cobain, sus padres se
divorciaron cuando tenía 9 años. Curiosamente, su madre se llama Janis.
Amy tuvo una carrera estelar con apenas dos álbumes de estudio,
porque falleció mientras preparaba el tercero.

La causa de su muerte es similar a la de otros miembros del Club de los

27: la adicción a las drogas. En el caso de Winehouse, estaba en pleno
proceso de desintoxicación de drogas ilegales, pero consumía
alcohol en exceso. La autopsia mostró que en sus sangre el nivel de
alcohol era incompatible con la vida.
2.8 Alan Christie Wilson

Alan Christie Wilson fue un cantante y guitarrista de Boston, EEUU,

nacido en 1943 y que, en justicia, debió estar en el cuarteto o quinteto
original de los 27, dado que falleció en la misma época que Jones,
Hendrix, Morrison y Joplin.

Tuvo una carrera menos sonada que la de las superestrellas
mencionadas, pero grabó 19 álbumes de estudio, la mayor parte de
ellos con su banda Canned Heat. Wilson era un estupendo intérprete
de blues e intentó incorporar a varios afroamericanos a su trabajo. Luchó
con fuerza en el frente de la ecología.
Actuó en Woodstock, lo que lo llevó a convertirse brevemente en otra
gran estrella. Falleció en 1970 cuando se encontraba a solas en la casa
de Bob Hite. Se discute si la sobredosis de barbitúricos que lo mató fue
accidental o si se suicidó.

2.9 Bob Gordon

En 1928 nació Bob Gordon, joven estadounidense que vivió desde niño
en California y que destacó como saxofonista. Tuvo dos carreras
musicales, una en la que disfrutaba el sonido brillante de las big bands,
especialmente haciendo jazz y música bailable, y otra en la que se
destacaba como sesionista, llegando a grabar con grandes de su época.

A caballo entre esas dos formas de abordar la música, Gordon se codeó
con Jimmy Palmer, Jack Montrose, Billy May, Stan Kenton y otros tantos.
Falleció en 1955 en un accidente de tránsito, poco antes de llegar a los
28 años.
2.10 Cheíto González

Cheíto González nació en Arecibo, Puerto Rico, en 1935. Se formó

desde joven en la guitarra, alcanzando gran virtuosismo. Primero se
relacionó con grupos en su natal Borinquen, pero pronto emigró a Nueva
York, en donde había efervescencia de artistas latinos.

En Nueva York formó varios tríos de guitarra, obteniendo algunos éxitos.
Sin embargo, es en México en donde realmente triunfa, al unirse al
trío Los Tres Reyes, con el que grabó un disco que sigue
considerándose un referente de la música de tríos.

Como en otros casos, el éxito estuvo acompañado de desorden

emocional y de consumo de drogas duras como cocaína y heroína.
Falleció en 1962 por sobredosis, en su propio auto, en Chicago.

2.11 Dave Alexander

David Alexander fue un bajista estadounidense nacido en junio de 1947.

Fue fundador de la banda de punk The Stooges, con la que grabó tres
álbumes, haciendo aportes como compositor, arreglista e intérprete.

The Stooges fue su único proyecto musical importante y lo realizó junto a
los hermanos Ron y Scott Asheton a partir de 1967. Sin embargo, fue
despedido de la banda en 1970, tras presentarse ebrio a un concierto. 

Dave Alexander pasó a retiro tras esta situación. En 1975 volvió a ser
noticia al conocerse su muerte a causa de un edema pulmonar. Tenía
27 años.
2.12 Pete Ham

El galés Peter William Ham nació en 1947 y fue fundador, en 1961, de la

agrupación The Panthers. Esta agrupación cambió su nombre a The
Iveys, en 1965, banda de la que se realizaron algunas gabaciones con
canciones compuestas por Ham.

En 1968 The Iveys fue descubierta por Apple Records, el sello de Los
Beatles, y adoptó el nombre de Badfinger. Con el apoyo de McCartney,
Badfinger empezó a cosechar mayores éxitos y Pete Ham logró brillar
como compositor e intérprete a plenitud. Colaboró en numerosas
ocasiones con él, así como con George Harrison y Ringo Starr.

En 1972 la banda pasó al catálogo de Warner. Los éxitos continuaron

hasta que, en 1975, la empresa demandó al manager de Badfinger por
apropiarse de un adelanto que pertenecía a la banda. Pete Ham entró
entonces en una depresión profunda y tres días antes de cumplir 28
años, se ahorcó.

2.13 Gary Thain

Gary Mervin Thain nació en Nueva Zelanda en 1948, pero hizo su carrera
musical en Australia y posteriormente en Inglaterra. Era bajista de la Keef
Hartley Band, con la que grabó seis álbumes de estudio.

En 1972 se une a Uriah Heep, agrupación con la que también grabó 6
discos, cinco de estudio y uno en directo. Además de toda esta
actividad, era colaborador en numerosas otras producciones de
solistas e incluso de otras bandas.

En 1974 comenzó su declive, tras recibir un impacto eléctrico que lo

deterioró físicamente. A principio del año siguiente fue despedido de
Uriah Heep debido a su adicción a la heroína, que a la postre sería la
causa de su muerte, ese mismo año, tras una sobredosis.

2.14 Cecilia

Evangelina Sobredo Galanes fue conocida como Cecilia en el mundo

artístico. Escogió este nombre  cuando firmó contrato con la disquera
CBS, que también grababa a Simon & Garfunkel, cuya canción “Cecilia”
estaba promocionándose.

Nació en Madrid en 1948 pero vivió en varios países desde niña, así que
manejaba fluidamente varios idiomas. Tuvo una carrera tan corta como
intensa en la que grabó tres discos. Sus letras, que se acercaban a la
protesta y sin duda al feminismo, le acarrearon no pocos problemas.

En 1975, cuando viajaba en la zona de Zamora, camino a Vigo, su auto

se estrelló contra un carro de bueyes que no tenía iluminación alguna, y
Cecilia murió en el acto, sumándose al grupo de artistas que murieron
jóvenes en esa época.

2.15 D. Boon

Dennes Dale “D.” Boon, estadounidense, fue un compositor, cantante y

guitarrista estadounidense nacido en 1958. Se hacía llamar D. Boon por
la similitud con el vocalista E. Bloom.

En 1980 formó una banda llamada de funk pesado mezclado con blues
llamada Minutemen, en la cual evitaba usar distorsión y privilegiaba los
agudos para que el bajista destacase. Tenían un sonido muy particular.

La banda no destacó particularmente, pero siguió funcionando hasta

1985, cuando D. Boon falleció, víctima de un accidente de tránsito, lo
cual ocasionó su disolución. Dos años después de su muerte se lanzó un
álbum de Minutemen, con grabaciones de un concierto. 
2.16 Mia Zapata

Mia Katherine Zapata nació en 1965 en Louisville, Estados Unidos,

donde desde niña mostró talento musical. En 1986 fundó la banda de
punk The Gits que, aunque nunca tuvo espacio en los grandes
escenarios, llegó a tener bastante éxito entre el público grunge. Hicieron
una gira por Estados Unidos e incluso viajaron a Europa.

En 1993, la suya se sumó a la lista de muertes de cantantes con 27
años, cuando su cuerpo fue hallado con signos de violación y
estrangulamiento. El asesino, que cumple una condena de 36 años,
sólo pudo identificarse una década más tarde, gracias a un examen de
ADN.

2.17 Kristen Pfaff

Kristen Marie Pfaff fue la bajista de la banda Janitor Joe, y luego de la

banda Hole, en la que trabajaba junto a Courtney Love, la esposa de Kurt
Cobain. Había nacido en 1967.

Con Janitor Joe grabó dos álbumes, mientras que sólo llegó a grabar uno
con Hole. En junio de 1994, poco después de mudarse a Seattle para
incorporarse a la banda, fue encontrada muerta en su bañera, con una
sobredosis de heroína.
2.18 Richey James Edwards

El caso de Richard James Edwards es sin duda es la más enigmática de

todas las muertes de artistas famosos. De hecho, no se sabe si está
muerto. ¿Cómo es esto posible?

James nació en Gales en 1967 y se convirtió en guitarrista y compositor
de la banda de rock Manic Street Preachers. En lo personal era un
desastre: sufría anorexia y alcoholismo y llegó a autoflagelarse
numerosas veces, e incluso ingresó a un psiquiátrico en 1991.

En 1995, con 27 años, simplemente desapareció. A partir del 1 de

febrero nadie lo volvió a ver. Se determinó que manejó su vehículo el 7
de febrero, y hay una multa para ese mismo vehículo del día 14. Fue
dado por muerto oficialmente en 2008.
2.19 Rodrigo Bueno “El Potro”

Rodrigo cantante argentino conocido como “El Potro”, es una referencia

absoluta en la música de cuarteto argentina, que es una versión sureña
del merengue dominicano. Nacido en 1973 en Córdoba, estuvo desde
niño involucrado con los escenarios dado que sus padres trabajaban en
el área. De hecho, su padre asumió su representación artística desde un
principio.

A finales de los años 90 Rodrigo Bueno alcanzaba los mayores éxitos,
pero el trabajo era extenuante, llegando a ofrecer más de 30 conciertos
por semana. En abril del año 2000 llenó el estadio Luna Park de
Buenos Aires en trece fechas.

Ese mismo año El Potro sufrió un accidente automovilístico cuando se

dirigía a Buenos Aires. Él conducía y perdió el control al intentar rebasar
a otro vehículo. Falleció en el acto.
2.20 Valentín Elizalde

Todavía no se sabe exactamente por qué murió Valentín Elizalde. “El

Gallo de Oro”, como le llamaban, nació en Sonora, México, en febrero de
1979 y desde pequeño tuvo el interés de cantar. Solía acompañar a su
padre y tras la muerte del viejo, inició su propia carrera musical,
destacándose en música norteña.

Había hecho la carrera de Derecho y el éxito le sonreía, de hecho ya
tenía 20 discos de estudio cuando se unió al terrible Club de los 27. Se
sabe quién mató a Valentín Elizalde: el cartel del Golfo, grupo
enemigo del famoso Chapo Guzmán, líder del Cartel de Sinaloa.

Se cree que Elizalde no guardaba ninguna relación con los

narcotraficantes, pero una de sus canciones “A mis enemigos” había sido
popularizada como una afrenta dedicada por el Cartel de Sinaloa a los de
El Golfo. A pesar de saber esto, El Gallo de Oro la cantaba en sus
conciertos, hasta que en noviembre de 2006 fue acribillado salvajemente.

 3. Otros 10 personajes muertos a los 27

No todos los famosos que han muerto a esta temprana edad han sido
cantantes. Algunos se dedicaban a otras áreas artísticas como la danza,
la pintura o la actuación. Incluso hay, entre los famosos que murieron
jóvenes, atletas, o enfermos graves que nunca pensaron que serían
notables, y hasta un rey. Por ahí comenzaremos esta otra lista.

3.1. Ghazi bin Faisal

Ghazi bin Faisal fue rey de Irak entre 1933 y 1939. Nació en La Meca,
(actualmente en Arabia Saudí) en 1912, es decir, antes de que Gran
Bretaña definiese las fronteras de los actuales países de la región. Se le
conoce coloquialmente como “El Rey Faisal”.

A la muerte de su padre en 1933, Ghazi bin Faisal ocupó el trono,
manteniendo una postura muy firme en contra de la dominación
inglesa. Reclamó el territorio de Kuwait, que había sido desmembrado
de Irak por las autoridades de Londres, y ganó no pocas enemistades por
ello.

Falleció en una accidente de tránsito y se sospecha que fue asesinado

por su primer ministro, quien era cercano a los intereses británicos.
3.2. Jean-Michel Basquiat

Otro de los famosos muertos es Jean-Michel Basquiat, pintor, poeta e

innovador neoyorquino que se considera actualmente padre del
movimiento urbano alrededor del grafitti. Nació en  diciembre de 1960 y
tuvo una brillante carrera el primitivismo pictórico.

En 1982 conoció a Andy Warhol, quien ya era un artista pop consagrado.
La amistad y colaboración mutuas ayudó a Basquiat a hacerse más
conocido. En 1984, éste empezó a dar señales de abuso de drogas y
comportamientos anormales asociados con la adicción.
En agosto de 1988, falleció a causa de una sobredosis de heroína.

3.3. Joseph Carey Merrick

Se le conoce, gracias a una película de l mismo nombre, como “El

hombre elefante”. Joseph Merrick nació el 5 de agosto de 1862 como un
niño perfectamente normal, pero a los tres años comenzaron a aparecer
los primeros síntomas del síndrome de Proteus.

Esta rara enfermedad, que deforma los huesos de manera desordenada,
generando una apariencia monstruosa, fue una tortura permanente para
Merrick, quien describía la felicidad como “estar en un rincón donde
nadie me vea”. Maltratado constantemente, no conseguía empleos
regulares y sólo pudo trabajar como atracción de circo debido a su
extraño aspecto.
La realeza británica tuvo compasión de él y se convirtió en un personaje
conocido en la corte. Su enorme cabeza, muy pesada, le impedía dormir
acostado. Al parecer, un intento de hacerlo, o un movimiento en falso le
costó la vida, al quebrársele el cuello, en 1890.

3.4. Andrés Escobar Saldarriaga

Entre las muertes de famosos más impactantes se cuenta la del futbolista

colombiano Andrés Escobar, no sólo por la violencia con la que se
ejecutó, sino también por la enorme injusticia que supuso su
asesinato.

Andrés Escobar nació en marzo de 1967 y como muchos otros niños
colombianos, amaba el fútbol. Formó parte de la selección cafetalera que
asistió al Mundial USA ‘94 y tuvo la mala suerte de hacer un gol en
propia puerta que le costó la eliminación a su equipo.

Una vez de regreso en Colombia, fue asesinado por su propio

guardaespaldas, aparentemente en venganza por el infortunado autogol.
3.5. Jonathan Gregory Brandis

Jonathan Gregory Brandis fue un actor y director estadounidense

conocido por sus papeles en La historia sin fin II, así como en DSV
SeaQuest, que lo convirtió en una super estrella juvenil. Había nacido en
abril de 1976.

Lamentablemente, como otros famosos que se han suicidado, se
deprimió cuando su carrera dejó de ser exitosa y se vio desplazado.
Intentó seguir como director y tampoco logró grandes éxitos. Su proceso
depresivo empeoró hasta que se ahorcó en su casa a finales de 2003.
3.6. Andrea Absolonová

Andrea Absolonová fue una atleta checa nacida en 1976 que llegó a
clasificar a los Juegos Olímpicos de 1996, lo que da cuenta de su
altísimo nivel. Lamentablemente, sufría de glioblastoma (cáncer
cerebral). A pesar de haber clasificado, una lesión impidió que asistiera a
los juegos y luego ya no pudo recuperar su nivel.

Poco después reapareció como modelo de desnudos y actriz porno. En
julio de 2004 se le diagnosticó la enfermedad que acabaría con su vida, y
falleció en diciembre de ese mismo año. 
3.7. Nicole Bogner

En marzo de 1984, en Austria, nacío Nicole Bogner, quien se convertiría

en vocalista de la banda Visions of Atlantis, a la que perteneció entre
el año 2000 y el 2005. Sin embargo, no sólo hacía metal, sino que
también cantaba música clásica. Su voz recordaba las sopranos de la
ópera.

Grabó con esa banda dos álbumes de estudio, además de uno como
solista. En enero de 2012, falleció a causa de una enfermedad que ni la
banda ni sus familiares han querido comentar. Por supuesto, tenía 27
años.
3.8. Freddo Santana

Freddo Santana es el nombre artístico de Derrick Coleman, quien nació

en Chicago en julio de 1990, siendo el fallecido más recientemente en la
lista. Se dedicó al rap y apenas alcanzó a lanzar un album de estudio,
que se vendió digitalmente.

Era adicto a una bebida llamada “purple drank” (bebida purpura),
compuesta por jarabe para la tos, gaseosas y dulces. Esto le había
causado severos daños hepáticos y renales. En 2018, cuando preparaba
su segundo disco, sufrió un ataque epiléptico derivado del daño en
su organismo, que lo fulminó.
3.9. Kami

Ukyo Kamimura, conocido como Kami, fue un batería japonés dedicado

al rock con su banda Malice Mizer. Nació en febrero de 1972. A
diferencia de otros cantantes famosos muertos, a Kami no se le conocen
adicciones o afecciones que pusieran en riesgo su salud.

3.10. Kim Jong Hyun

Conocido como Jonghyun, este cantautor surcoreano nació en 1990 y

falleció en 2017. Se hizo vocalista de la banda SHINee, y también hizo
carrera como solista.

En 2016 lanzó su primer disco, “She is”, con temas propios en los
géneros como electro-punk y R&B. Se suicidó inhalando monóxido de
carbono. Al año siguiente se lanzó su segundo disco, que ya estaba
grabado.

4. La verdad sobre la maldición del Club de los 27

Existe la idea de que la muerte de las estrellas de rock y otros personajes
a los 27 años obedece a un plan superior y que no son simples
casualidades. Se observa que la mayor parte de ellos fallece en
extrañas circunstancias asociadas con el consumo de drogas, suicidios
y sospechosos accidentes de tránsito.

Algunos creen que el este “27’s club” está relacionado con fuerzas y
élites dentro de la industria, capaces de crear superestrellas para luego
sacrificarlos en rituales ocultistas que permiten potenciar energías
sobrenaturales y controlar directa o indirectamente a las masas.

Hay quien se atreve a señalar como responsable al gobierno de Estados

Unidos y a los Illuminati, que son capaces de usar mecanismos de
control mental como el proyecto MK Ultra. Se supone que la secta de
los Illuminati escoge a sus elegidos desde muy pequeños para que
formen parte de este selectísimo club.

27’s club
En algún momento, debido al deterioro de sus condiciones, los miembros
del “club 27 Illuminati” ya no son útiles y simplemente se deshacen de
ellos.

Por otra parte, no todos los cantantes Illuminati terminan muertos a los
27. Se cree que Michael Jackson era uno de ellos y que vivió más tiempo
porque fue útil al proceso de dominación hasta sus 50 años.
5. Significado numerológico del número 27
El 27 tiene numerológicamente una raíz en 9 (2+7), así que se ubica
entre los números más perfectos y cuya vibración es más potente. Este
número refuerza las habilidades creativas, así que no debe extrañarnos
que los artistas del 27 Club Illuminati estén marcados por este valor.

Entre sus características positivas se cuentan la sensibilidad, la

capacidad de mando y sin duda el poder y la inteligencia para manejarlo.
También son hábiles para ganarse a la gente por que son simpáticos y
agradables. Frecuentemente tienen modos de vida distintos a los de las
mayoría. 

Pero el 27 también se relaciona con problemas mentales, impulsividad

e impaciencia. Esto suele ocurrir cuando las personas que vibran en
esta frecuencia se hacen materialistas, lo cual ocurre con frecuencia
entre las estrellas del espectáculo. En estos casos se victimizan y son
propensos a llevar consigo una enorme carga de dolor.
6. Homenajes a los integrantes del club de los 27
La existencia del Club de los 27 ha dado lugar no sólo al dolor de sus
pérdidas, sino también a una gran cantidad de tributos y homenajes de
diverso tipo y formato. Basta con decir que en una red tan popular como
Facebook hay más de 30 grupos y páginas en español dedicadas al
estudio de los astros muertos a los 27.

En realidad, la sola existencia del concepto del 27’s Club ya es una forma
de reconocimiento. Pero también hay tributos más tangibles e
incontables, porque cada año se realizan un gran número de conciertos
dedicados a los artistas del grupo.

También está el caso de las tablas de patinar de Nomad Skateboards,

con los rostros de cinco de sus miembros.

Uno de los tributos más locos, que juega con la teoría de los cantantes
Illuminati y, además, plantea situaciones hilarantes, es la película
argentina “27: Club de los malditos”.

El blog “La hoja de arena” dedicó una entrada a reseñar los libros que
leían los miembros del club de los 27. La lista de homenajes es larga.

En definitiva, el club de los famosos muertos a los 27 es en sí mismo un

objeto de culto para los seguidores del rock y la cultura pop en
general. Es un símbolo de la fragilidad de la vida y de la facilidad con la
que se pasa de la gloria total al derrumbe más absoluto. Toda una
metáfora de la existencia misma y de nuestro efímero paso por el planeta
Tierra.

One of the greatest intrigues of the contemporary world revolves around
the large number of music stars who, tragically, end up dead at 27 . 

In this article we analyze in detail who are the 30 famous people who are
part of the macabre Club of 27. Keep reading to discover how, when,
where they died and what is behind their strange disappearances ...

1. What is the club of 27?

A select group of rock singers who died when they were 27 years old is
known as “Club of 27”. The author Eric Segalstad deals in depth with the
history of this phenomenon in his book The 27s: The Greatest Myth of
Rock & Roll . 

The idea first appeared in 1971, after the death of Jim Morrison , who was
the last of a succession of four deaths in just two years: Robert Jones,
Brian Jones, Jimi Hendrix and Janis Joplin .

At the moment he usually refers to six singers (the ones mentioned above
plus Kurt Cobain , who was included in the club of 27 later), but there are
many more dead artists at 27, and not only figures related to the world of
music ...

2. 20 singers belonging to the 27 Club

2.1. Brian Jones

The British Brian Jones was a great but misunderstood musician or little
compatible with the music industry of his time. He was founder of
the mythical Rolling Stones group , to which he belonged until one
month before his death.

He was born on February 28, 1942 and had a passion for blues classics,
the musical line that interested him most. In the Rolling Stones the duo
of Mick Jagger and Keith Richards was imposed for commercial reasons ,
so Jones's compositions remained in the background.

In June 1969 he separated from the group, and only three weeks later he
was found at the bottom of his pool. With this begins a series of deaths
of artists with 27 years that would later be known as 27s club.  

2.2. Jimi Hendrix

Considered among the best guitarists in history, Jimi Hendrix was a boy

who had to overcome many difficulties due to the alcoholism and financial
instability of his parents, to which is added the fact of being black in times
of segregation.

Hendrix was born in the United States in November 1942 and fought hard
to acquire his first guitar. When he did military service he stood out for his
ability with the instrument and became a regular musician of the army
clubs.

He had a very short professional career, barely 4 years old, but

that greatly influenced the history of rock. His unique style, which led
him to eccentricities such as setting a guitar on fire or playing it with his
teeth, apart from an enormous talent, led him to a resounding
success. He was the highest paid artist at the Woodstock festival.  

Jimi Hendrix died in September 1970, in England, after ingesting an

overdose of barbiturates that he mixed with wine.

2.3. Janis Joplin

The first great female rock and roll star was Californian Janis Joplin . Born
in January 1943 she had, like Hendrix , a very short but intense and
successful career. Although born in a functional family, Janis did not fit
well in any space.
Joplin was noted for his powerful and torn interpretation, and made the
leap to fame in 1967, with a psychedelic rock group. Then I would leave
that group to make a solo career. Five of his singles entered the list of
the Top 100 Billboard . He also participated in Woodstock, with
remarkable success.  

In 1970 he traveled to Brazil to detoxify heroin and on his return he

started a project with a new band. A successful tour gave rise to the
recording of the Pearl album, but before finishing it, Janis joined the list of
deceased singers at age 27, due to a heroin overdose.

2.4 Jim Morrison

The death of Jim Morrison , whose exact cause is still or has been

clarified, although it is presumed heroin overdose, would be the one that
would inspire the concept of “the club of 27”, since in just two years,
rock lost four of his biggest stars and everyone was that age.

Morrison , an American, was born in Melbourne, USA, in December 1943,
and eventually became a great musician, despite the opposition of his
parents. As a vocalist for the band The Doors, he garnered enormous
success and then permanently decoupled from his family.   

It was character but rather withdrawn and consistently refused to be

considered separately. He insisted that he was simply
" The Doors vocalist ." On the other hand, on more than one occasion he
found himself in trouble with justice for behaving in a manner that was at
odds with good manners. Like other singers of his time, Morrison became
a regular at recreational drugs, so that his death, which occurred in 1971,
is attributed to that cause. After the facts there was no autopsy.

2.5 Robert Johnsons

It belongs to a generation older than the four mentioned above, so it is a

precursor to the “27's club”. He was born in the United States in 1911,
grandson of black slaves, so he lived in a complicated and poor
environment. His father was also an occasional lover of his mother, so he
originally had another last name, which changed to Johnsons when he
learned his true origin.

Unlike the original club, Johnsons was a blues and not a rock
guitarist; however he is known as "the grandfather of the rock". He had an
interest in music since he was young and first he practiced harp and
harmonica, but then he became a guitar master, who also used three or
four different tunings of the instrument.

He recorded 29 songs (13 of them have two versions) between 1936 and
1937. He died in 1938 in circumstances not yet clarified, since, as
with Morrison , there was no autopsy either. It is considered poisoning,
syphilis, tuberculosis, and even by firearm.  

2.6 Kurt Cobain

In 1967, the same year that members of the original Club of 27 made
history in the rock, in Washington was born Kurt Cobain , who would
reborn the legend of rock singers who die at 27, more than two decades
after The death of Morrison .

Cobain , American, was the composer, singer and guitarist of the band
Nirvana, with which he obtained a sweeping success, including triple
platinum record in the US with his second album, Nevermind , from 1991.

But Kurt Cobain was marked by the early divorce of his parents, who had

made him very unhappy in his childhood. He once mentioned that he
would like to enter the Club of 27. With the economic success came the
heroin addiction. According to the official version, Cobain was shot in the
head in 1994, however, there is turbidity in the investigation and his wife
is suspected.

2.7 Amy Winehouse

In 1983 the second woman was born in England who would enter the
fateful club of dead singers at 27: Amy Winehouse . This explosive voice
girl released her first album in 2003, with regular success in Britain, but
three years later, with Back to Black, she won six Grammy nominations ,
winning five.

She sang as a child and, as in the case of Cobain , her parents divorced
when she was 9 years old. Curiously, his mother's name
is Janis . Amy had a stellar career with just two studio albums, because
she died while preparing the third.

The cause of his death is similar to that of other members of the Club of
27: drug addiction. In the case of Winehouse , it was in the process of
detoxification of illegal drugs, but consumed excessive alcohol. The
autopsy showed that in his blood the level of alcohol was incompatible
with life.  

2.8 Alan Christie Wilson

Alan Christie Wilson was a singer and guitarist from Boston, USA, born in
1943 and, in justice, must have been in the original quartet or quintet of
the 27, since he died at the same time as
Jones, Hendrix , Morrison and Joplin .

He had a career less sound than the superstars mentioned, but recorded
19 studio albums, most of them with his band Canned Heat . Wilson
was a great blues performer and tried to incorporate several African
Americans into his work. He fought hard in front of the ecology.  

He acted in Woodstock, which led him to briefly become another great

star. He died in 1970 when he was alone at Bob Hite's house. It is
discussed whether the overdose of barbiturates that killed him was
accidental or if he committed suicide.

2.9 Bob Gordon

In 1928 Bob Gordon was born, a young American who lived as a child in
California and who stood out as a saxophone player. He had two musical
careers, one in which he enjoyed the bright sound of big bands ,
especially doing jazz and dance music, and another in which he stood out
as a sessionist , recording with great of his time.

Riding between these two ways of approaching music, Gordon rubbed
shoulders with Jimmy Palmer, Jack Montrose , Billy May ,
Stan Kenton and many others. He died in 1955 in a traffic accident,
shortly before reaching the age of 28.

2.10 Cheíto González

Cheíto González was born in Arecibo, Puerto Rico, in 1935. He trained

from a young age on guitar, achieving great virtuosity. He first related to
groups in his native Borinquen , but soon emigrated to New York, where

In New York he formed several guitar trios, obtaining some

successes. However, it is in Mexico where he really triumphs, when
he joined the trio Los Tres Reyes, with whom he recorded an album
that is still considered a reference of trio music.  

As in other cases, success was accompanied by emotional disorder and

consumption of hard drugs such as cocaine and heroin. He died in 1962
by overdose, in his own car, in Chicago.

2.11 Dave Alexander

David Alexander was an American bassist born in June 1947. He was the
founder of the punk band The Stooges , with which he recorded three
albums, making contributions as a composer, arranger and performer.

The Stooges was his only major musical project and he performed with
brothers Ron and Scott Asheton from 1967. However, he was fired from
the band in 1970, after being drunk at a concert.  

Dave Alexander went into retirement after this situation. In 1975 he

returned to be news when his death was known because of
pulmonary edema. I was 27 years old.  
2.12 Pete Ham

The Welshman Peter William Ham was born in 1947 and was founder, in

1961, of the group The Panthers . This group changed its name
to The Iveys , in 1965, band of which some recordings were made with
songs composed by Ham .

In 1968 The Iveys was discovered by Apple Records, the Beatles label,
and adopted the name of Badfinger . With McCartney's
support, Badfinger began to reap greater success
and Pete Ham managed to shine as a composer and performer. He
collaborated on numerous occasions with him, as well as with George
Harrison and Ringo Starr .   

In 1972 the band went to the Warner catalog. The successes continued

until, in 1975, the company sued the manager of Badfinger for
appropriating an advance that belonged to the
band. Pete Ham then went into a deep depression and three days before
he turned 28, he hanged himself.

2.13 Gary Thain

Gary Mervin Thain was born in New Zealand in 1948, but made his

musical career in Australia and later in England. He was bassist of
the Keef Hartley Band, with whom he recorded six studio albums.

In 1972 he joined Uriah Heep , a group with which he also recorded 6
albums, five studio and one live. In addition to all this activity, he was a
contributor to numerous other solo productions and even other
bands.   

In 1974 began its decline, after receiving an electrical impact that

physically deteriorated. At the beginning of the following year he was fired
from Uriah Heep due to his heroin addiction, which would eventually be
the cause of his death, that same year, after an overdose.
2.14 Cecilia

Evangelina Sobredo Galanes was known as Cecilia in the artistic

world. He chose this name when he signed a contract with the CBS label,
which also recorded Simon & Garfunkel , whose song “Cecilia” was being
promoted.

She was born in Madrid in 1948 but lived in several countries since she
was a child, so she was fluent in several languages. He had a career as
short as intense in which he recorded three albums. His lyrics, which
were close to protest and undoubtedly feminism, brought him not a few
problems.  

In 1975, when he was traveling in the Zamora area, on his way to Vigo,
his car crashed into an ox cart that had no lighting, and Cecilia died on
the spot, joining the group of artists who died young at that time.

2.15 D. Boon

Dennes Dale “D.” Boon , an American, was an American composer,

singer and guitarist born in 1958. He called himself D. Boon because of
the similarity with vocalist E. Bloom.

In 1980 he formed a band called heavy funk mixed with blues
called Minutemen , in which he avoided using distortion and privileged the
treble so that the bassist stood out. They had a very particular sound.

The band did not stand out particularly, but it continued to function until
1985, when D. Boon passed away, victim of a traffic accident, which
caused its dissolution. Two years after his death a Minutemen album was
released , with recordings of a concert.   

2.16 Mia Zapata

Mia Katherine Zapata was born in 1965 in Louisville, United States,

where as a child she showed musical talent. In 1986 he founded the punk
band The Gits that, although he never had space on the big stages,
became quite successful among the grunge audience . They toured the
United States and even traveled to Europe.

In 1993, his was added to the list of deaths of singers with 27 years,
when his body was found with signs of rape and strangulation. The
murderer, serving a 36-year sentence, could only be identified a decade
later, thanks to a DNA test.  

2.17 Kristen Pfaff

Kristen Marie Pfaff was the bassist of the band Janitor Joe , and then of

the band Hole , in which she worked alongside Courtney Love , the wife
of Kurt Cobain . He was born in 1967.

With Janitor Joe he recorded two albums, while he only recorded one
with Hole . In June 1994, shortly after moving to Seattle to join the band,
she was found dead in her bathtub, with an overdose of heroin.

2.18 Richey James Edwards

The case of Richard James Edwards is undoubtedly the most enigmatic

of all the deaths of famous artists. In fact, it is not known if he is
dead. How is this possible?

James was born in Wales in 1967 and became a guitarist and composer
of the rock band Manic Street Preachers . Personally, it was a disaster:
he suffered from anorexia and alcoholism and became self-
flagellated numerous times, and even entered a psychiatric hospital in
1991.

In 1995, at 27, he simply disappeared. As of February 1, nobody saw

him again. It was determined that he drove his vehicle on February 7,
and there is a fine for that same vehicle on day 14. He was officially
declared dead in 2008.  
2.19 Rodrigo Bueno “El Potro”

Rodrigo Argentine singer known as "El Potro", is an absolute reference in

the music of Argentine quartet, which is a southern version of the
Dominican merengue. Born in 1973 in Córdoba, he was involved in the
scenarios since he was a child since his parents worked in the area. In
fact, his father assumed his artistic representation from the beginning.

At the end of the 90s Rodrigo Bueno reached the greatest successes, but
the work was exhausting, coming to offer more than 30 concerts per
week. In April of the year 2000 he filled the Luna Park stadium in
Buenos Aires on thirteen dates.  

That same year El Potro suffered a car accident while heading to Buenos
Aires. He was driving and lost control while trying to pass another
vehicle. He died instantly.

2.20 Valentine Elizalde

It is not yet known exactly why Valentín Elizalde died. “El Gallo de Oro”,
as they called him, was born in Sonora, Mexico, in February 1979 and
from an early age he had the interest of singing. He used to accompany
his father and after the death of the old man, he started his own musical
career, standing out in northern music.

He had made his law degree and was smiling at him, in fact he already
had 20 studio records when he joined the terrible Club of 27. It is known
who killed Valentín Elizalde: the Gulf cartel, enemy group of the
famous Chapo Guzmán , leader of the Sinaloa Cartel. 

It is believed that Elizalde had no relationship with drug traffickers, but

one of his songs "To my enemies" had been popularized as an affront
dedicated by the Sinaloa Cartel to those of El Golfo. Despite knowing this,
El Gallo de Oro sang it at her concerts, until in November 2006 she was
riddled wildly.

He remains one of the most beloved and heard dead Mexican singers

Not all celebrities who have died at this young age have been
singers. Some were dedicated to other artistic areas such as dance,
painting or acting. There are even, among the celebrities who died young,
athletes, or seriously ill who never thought they would be notable, and
even a king. There we will start this other list.

3.1. Ghazi bin Faisal

Ghazi bin Faisal was king of Iraq between 1933 and 1939. He was born in
Mecca, (currently in Saudi Arabia) in 1912, that is, before Britain defined
the borders of the current countries in the region. He is colloquially known
as "The Faisal King."

On the death of his father in 1933, Ghazi bin Faisal occupied the throne,
maintaining a very firm stance against English domination. He
claimed the territory of Kuwait, which had been dismembered from Iraq by
the London authorities, and won few feuds for it.   

He died in a traffic accident and is suspected of being killed by his prime

minister, who was close to British interests.

3.2. Jean-Michel Basquiat

Another of the famous dead is Jean-Michel Basquiat , a New York

painter, poet and innovator who is currently considered the father of the
urban movement around graffiti . He was born in December 1960 and had
a brilliant career in pictorial primitivism.

In 1982 he met Andy Warhol , who was already a consecrated pop
artist. Mutual friendship and collaboration helped Basquiat to become
more known. In 1984, he began to show signs of drug abuse and
abnormal behaviors associated with addiction.  

In August 1988, he died due to a heroin overdose.

3.3. Joseph Carey Merrick

He is known, thanks to a film of the same name, as "The Elephant

Man." Joseph Merrick was born on August 5, 1862 as a perfectly normal
child, but at three years the first symptoms of Proteus syndrome began to
appear .

This rare disease, which deforms the bones in a disorderly manner,
generating a monstrous appearance, was a permanent torture
for Merrick , who described happiness as "being in a corner where no one
sees me." Abused constantly, he did not get regular jobs and could
only work as a circus attraction due to his strange appearance.  

British royalty had compassion on him and became a known character in

court. His huge head, very heavy, prevented him from sleeping in
bed. Apparently, an attempt to do so, or a false
movement cost him his life, by breaking his neck, in 1890.

3.4. Andrés Escobar Saldarriaga

Among the deaths of the most shocking celebrities is that of the

Colombian soccer player Andrés Escobar, not only because of the
violence with which he was executed, but also because of the
enormous injustice of his murder. Andrés Escobar Saldarriaga

Andrés Escobar was born in March 1967 and like many other Colombian
children, he loved football. He was part of the coffee team that attended
the USA '94 World Cup and had the bad luck of making a goal in his own
door that cost the elimination of his team.

Once back in Colombia, he was murdered by his own bodyguard,

apparently in revenge for the unfortunate autogol.

3.5. Jonathan Gregory Brandis

Jonathan Gregory Brandis was an American actor and director known for
his roles in The Endless Story II, as well as in DSV SeaQuest , which
made him a youth superstar . He was born in April 1976.

Unfortunately, like other celebrities who have committed suicide, he
became depressed when his career ceased to be successful and he was
displaced. He tried to continue as a director and did not achieve great
successes either. His depressive process worsened until he hanged
himself at home in late 2003.  

3.6. Andrea Absolonová

Andrea Absolonová was a Czech athlete born in 1976 who came to

qualify for the 1996 Olympic Games, which accounts for her very high
level. Unfortunately, he suffered from glioblastoma (brain cancer). Despite
having qualified, an injury prevented him from attending the games and

Shortly after he reappeared as a nude model and porn actress. In July

2004 he was diagnosed with the disease that would end his life, and died
in December of that same year. 

3.7. Nicole Bogner

In March 1984, in Austria, Nicole Bogner was born , who would become

a vocalist for the band Visions of Atlantis, to which she belonged
between 2000 and 2005. However, she not only made metal, but also
sang classical music . His voice remembered the sopranos of the open.

He recorded with that band two studio albums, as well as one as a

soloist. In January 2012, he died due to an illness that neither the band
nor his relatives wanted to comment on. Of course, he was 27 years old.

3.8. Freddo Santana

Freddo Santana is the stage name of Derrick Coleman, who was born in

Chicago in July 1990, being the most recently deceased on the list. He
dedicated himself to rap and barely managed to release a studio album,
which was sold digitally.

He was addicted to a drink called " purple drank " (purple drink),
consisting of cough syrup, soda and candy. This had caused severe liver
and kidney damage. In 2018, when he was preparing his second album,
he suffered an epileptic attack derived from damage to his
organism, which killed him.   

3.9. Kami

Ukyo Kamimura , known as Kami , was a Japanese drummer dedicated

to rock with his band Malice Mizer . He was born in February 1972. Unlike
other famous singers killed, Kami is not known addictions or conditions
that put his health at risk.

3.10. Kim Jong Hyun

Known as Jonghyun , this South Korean singer-songwriter was born in

1990 and died in 2017. He became a vocalist for the band SHINee , and
also made a solo career.

In 2016 he released his first album, " She is ", with his own songs in the
genres such as electro-punk and R&B. He committed suicide by
inhaling carbon monoxide. The following year he released his second
album, which was already recorded.   

4. The truth about the curse of the Club of 27

There is the idea that the death of rock stars and other characters at 27 is
due to a superior plan and that they are not just coincidences. It is
observed that most of them die in strange circumstances associated
with the use of drugs, suicides and suspicious traffic accidents.  

Some believe that this “27's club” is related to forces and elites within the
industry, capable of creating superstars and then sacrificing them in
occult rituals that allow supernatural energies to be potentiated and
directly or indirectly control the masses.
There are those who dare to point the United States government and
the Illuminati as responsible , who are capable of using mind control
mechanisms such as the MK Ultra project. It is assumed that

believed that Michael Jackson was one of them and lived longer because
he was useful to the process of domination until his 50 years.

of the show. In these cases they are victimized and are prone to carry a

and formats. Suffice it to say that in a network as popular as Facebook
there are more than 30 groups and pages in Spanish dedicated to the
study of dead stars at 27. 
Actually, the mere existence of the 27's Club concept is already a form of

the fragility of life and the ease with which one passes from total glory to
the most absolute collapse. A whole metaphor of existence itself and of
our ephemeral passage through planet Earth.
