by (bái) - al lado de, junto a


near (níar) - cerca de

around (aráund) -alrededor de, cerca de, por
round (ráund) - alrededor de, en torno a, por
against (eguénst) - contra, en contra de

among (amóng) - entre, en medio de


amid (amíd) - entre, en medio de
before (bifór) - delante de, ante
after (áfter) - después de, tras

a) Guiándote de la imagen, completa las siguientes oraciones:

3. The hospital is _ behind _ the cinema. (El hospital está XXX del

b. Traduce las siguientes oraciones al inglés:

1. El cine está entre el supermercado y la cafetería.

R: The cinema is between the supermarket and the cafeteria

2. El hospital está al frente de la escuela.

R: The hospital is in front of the school

3. Mi casa está en la avenida Lincoln.

R: My house is on lincoln avenue

4. La oficina de correo está detrás del teatro.

R:The post office is behind the theater

5. La parada de bus está al lado de la escuela. 

R: The bus stop is next to the school


c) Responde las siguientes preguntas en inglés:
