indicaciones generales

Retire las bases, empaque y demás aditamentos del mismo.

Para quitar el pegamento dejado por las cintas adhesivas
de sujeción, se debe de utilizar un trapo humedecido con
agua y jabón neutro.
Seleccione el área para ubicar el refrigerador, ésta debe
mantenerse limpia y sin humedad para evitar problemas
de oxidación.

1 2 colocación

Considere las siguientes distancias mínimas para garantizar

una circulación de aire adecuada, sobre todo si se va a
empotrar el producto: de 2 a 3 cm en los lados, 10 cm en
la parte posterior y de 5 a 10 cm en la parte superior.

Aléjelo de elementos que generen calor como estufas,

calentadores, o exponerlo a los rayos del sol, ya que
ocasionará que trabaje más y sea menos eficiente,
incrementando el consumo de energía eléctrica.

No lo recargue contra la pared. Con esta medida estará

garantizando un correcto desempeño del producto,
impidiendo que los componentes de su refrigerador toquen
directamente las paredes o muebles, evitando ruidos
desagradables.

3 nivelación

Para nivelar el refrigerador utilice los dos tornillos

niveladores, insértelos y ajústelos de manera que descansen
firmemente en el piso.
La parte de enfrente deberá quedar un poco más alta
que la parte posterior dejando ligeramente inclinado
hacia atrás su refrigerador, esto facilitará que las puertas
cierren por sí mismas, y evitará la pérdida de frío.

Antes de conectar la clavija en el enchufe, limpie el interior

de su refrigerador usando un trapo o esponja suave y
jabón neutro, o una solución de bicarbonato de sodio.

Para una instalación adecuada se debe de tomar en cuenta

lo siguiente:

Características: 127 V ~ 60 Hz de uso residencial. Provista

preferentemente con un interruptor general y circuitos
independientes balanceados, protegidos por listón fusible
y/o pastilla termormagnética de 15 a 20 Amperes Máx.

Su refrigerador está provisto de un cable tomacorriente

polarizado tipo X con cable a tierra integrado. Por ningún
motivo elimine la tierra colocando un adaptador, ni corte
el cable para reemplazar su clavija por una de dos
terminales.

Por su seguridad, su instalación debe ser realizada como

se muestra en la figura A.

Si su instalación eléctrica no cuenta con este tipo de contacto

adquiera uno, el cual debe ser instalado por un técnico
calificado, de no ser así, es entera responsabilidad del
cliente cualquier riesgo personal y/o material que pueda
1 ocasionar el producto. Revise las instrucciones en la etiqueta
colocada en el cordón de alimentación con letras rojas.

Instale su refrigerador en el contacto más cercano, evite

al máximo utilizar extensiones eléctricas y/o unir cables
inadecuados para la alimentación de su refrigerador. Si
por alguna razón tiene la necesidad de utilizar una extensión
eléctrica consulte a un técnico especializado para que le
indique el tipo y características de la extensión que puede
2 utilizar con seguridad.

Evite en la medida de lo posible conectar otro aparato

eléctrico en el mismo contacto que está utilizando para
su refrigerador mientras éste se encuentre en
funcionamiento. Esto le evitará tener variaciones de voltaje
y calentamientos en el mismo.

Nunca conecte su producto junto con otro aparato eléctrico

3 en el mismo enchufe.

Para conectar y desconectar su refrigerador, sujete el

tomacorriente por la clavija y estire. Nunca jale el cordón.

Si usted vive en una región donde hay variaciones de

tensión nominal, tenga las siguientes precauciones:

• No conecte su refrigerador en el enchufe.

• Instale un regulador automático de voltaje con una
potencia mínima de 1000 Watts.

• Asegúrese que el regulador soporte las variaciones de

tensión que haya en su región.

• Pida que un electricista calificado verifique el enchufe

de la pared y el circuito, para asegurarse que la salida
esté debidamente conectada a tierra.

• Para efectuar la conexión a tierra, siga las normas de

puesta a tierra y llame a un electricista calificado.

Si el cordón de alimentación es dañado, este debe ser

reemplazado por el fabricante, su agente de servicio o
personal calificado para evitar cualquier riesgo.

calentamiento de zonas cercanas al congelador

Su refrigerador cuenta con un dispositivo que evita la

condensación. El calentamiento de algunas zonas externas
de su refrigerador es normal. Esto ocurre para evitar la
condensación de gotas de agua en el exterior de su
refrigerador. No obstante, en condiciones de alta
temperatura y alta humedad en el ambiente, pudiera
llegar a formarse una ligera condensación. Seque con un
trapo suave.

• Deje reposar el refrigerador de 4 a 6 horas antes de

conectarlo para que permita que repose el gas y el aceite
del compresor.

• Antes de conectar el refrigerador gire la perilla del

control de temperatura del enfriador hasta la posición
media (entre 4-6).

• Conecte la clavija o enchufe a la corriente.

• Deje que funcione vacío y cerrado durante 4 horas

antes de introducir los alimentos.

• Evite abrir la puerta para que se alcance la temperatura

deseada.

• Si desea colocar su refrigerador en otro lugar debe

desconectarlo.

• Cuando ya esté ubicado en el sitio elegido, repetir los

pasos mencionados.

Para regular la temperatura del compartimiento del

enfriador, se debe girar la perilla hacia la posición deseada.
La perilla de control de temperatura del refrigerador
está ubicada en el interior de dicho compartimiento, en
algunos casos será necesario el uso de una moneda para
hacer girar la perilla.

La temperatura del compartimiento del congelador, se

ajusta seleccionando el nivel de congelamiento en la perilla
del control de temperatura, ubicada en el interior de
este compartimiento.

nota:
La temperatura interior puede variar dependiendo de la
temperatura ambiente. En los meses de calor (verano) es
posible que el control de temperatura necesite ajustarse
para que enfríe más y en los meses de frío (invierno)
para que enfríe menos.

Su refrigerador no necesita ser descongelado, ya que

realiza el deshielo automáticamente (No Frost).

El sistema de enfriamiento Twist Air,

circule de manera homogénea, al ser distribuido por todo
su refrigerador, y mantenga las temperaturas óptimas en
cada rincón.

Es importante que las salidas para la circulación de aire,

nunca estén obstruidas.

Al abrir la puerta de su refrigerador, es normal que se

empañen las parrillas de cristal templado, debido a la
entrada de humedad.

Dependiendo del modelo de su refrigerador, éste puede

estar provisto de varios tipos de cajones.

El cajón de carnes frías, puede ser ubicado en cualquier

punto a todo lo ancho de la parrilla; la ubicación
recomendada para colocar la parrilla que sostiene al cajón
es el primer nivel de arriba hacia abajo.

El cajón para legumbres individual está diseñado para

conservar frescas las frutas y verduras. Utilice la división
del cajón para no mezclarlas y optimizar su acomodo
(sólo aplica en algunos modelos).

Los modelos de lujo cuentan con 2 cajones para facilitar

el almacenamiento independiente de frutas y verduras.

En algunos modelos el cajón o los cajones cuentan con

control de humedad.

El cajón de legumbres mantiene la temperatura y humedad

adecuada para el almacenamiento de sus alimentos,
conservando sus características naturales.

El uso adecuado del control de humedad permite regular

el paso de aire hacia el interior del cajón de acuerdo a sus
necesidades.

Es recomendable mantener el control en los orificios de

menor tamaño, para conservar los vegetales de hojas verdes
y en los orificios de mayor tamaño, para la conservación
de frutas.

para retirar los cajones:

Jale el cajón hasta el tope, presione firmemente el fondo

del cajón hacia abajo y con la otra mano retire
simultáneamente el cajón.

Si requiere retirar el ensamble de cajones y tapas, jálelo

como una parrilla normal.

1 2 3 parrillas

Algunos modelos cuentan con parrillas de cristal templado

con marco plástico con borde antiderrames. Esto evitará
que pequeños derrames de líquidos ensucien todo su
refrigerador. O bien, otros modelos cuentan con parrillas
de alambrón. En ambos casos las parrillas son
multiposiciones. La carga máxima recomendada para esta
parrilla, es de 25 kg (55 Lb).

En caso de que necesite retirar las parrillas de cristal:

1. Remueva cualquier alimento u objeto apoyado en

ellos.

2. Sujete la parrilla con las dos manos por la parte frontal,

como se muestra en la figura.

3. Empuje el cristal con las yemas de los dedos hacia

usted ligeramente.

4. Una vez que la parrilla se levantó por la parte trasera,

desplácela hacia usted, sin soltarla.

5. Para volver a colocar la parrilla sobre el riel deseado,

asegúrese que este riel quede entre la ceja de la parrilla y
la superficie, como se muestra, y empuje hasta sentir el
tope de ensamble de la parrilla.

6. Para cambiar las otras parrillas proceda de la misma

manera.

4 medias parrillas

Su refrigerador puede contar con la versatilidad de las

medias parrillas, éstas pueden ser colocadas únicamente
en los primeros tres niveles de su refrigerador.

Tenga cuidado de retirar todos los alimentos colocados

sobre esta área y de sostenerla con ambas manos, si desea
ajustar o retirar las parrillas.

Para ajustar la posición de sus medias parrillas, levante
ligeramente de la parte frontal de ésta y deslice hacia el
frente hasta que quede liberada de los puntos que la
sujetan; aproximadamente a la mitad de la carrera de
deslizamiento, retire lateralmente la parrilla. Tenga cuidado
de retirar todos los alimentos colocados sobre esta área y
de sostenerla con ambas manos.

La colocación de la media parrilla es muy similar, introduzca

hasta aproximadamente la parte central del gabinete,
apoye ésta contra el lateral de su refrigerador y empuje
hacia atrás para que ésta quede sujeta en sus puntos.

La parrilla no es completamente horizontal, tiene una

ligera elevación en la parte central, con la finalidad de
permitir que quede horizontal cuando cosas pesadas sean
colocadas en ésta; esto es completamente normal. La carga
máxima recomendada para esta parrilla, es de 8 kg (17.6
Lb).

piso removible de congelador 1

El piso removible sólo aplica en algunos modelos.

El piso congelador puede ser retirado para facilitar la

limpieza en un posible derramamiento de líquidos.

Jale hacia usted el piso para ser removido.

Evite que líquidos u objetos caigan al interior del ducto

de aire.

Para obtener un correcto funcionamiento del refrigerador,

el piso siempre tiene que estar colocado en su posición;
después de realizar cualquier limpieza, coloque nuevamente
el piso deslizándolo suavemente.

anaqueles

Según el modelo de su refrigerador, puede venir equipado

con puerta de doble capacidad que es la más grande del
mercado y cuenta con algunos de estos anaqueles (según
modelo)

Algunos modelos cuentan con anaqueles deslizables los
cuales permiten gran versatilidad en el almacenamiento
y distribución interna.

Para mover los anaqueles deslizables, remueva los alimentos

almacenados en éste para evitar que se caigan durante el

ajuste; deslice gentilmente los anaqueles hasta la posición
deseada.

1 anaquel gaveta

Su refrigerador puede venir instalado de fábrica con la

gaveta, en la cual usted tiene la versatilidad y conveniencia
de almacenaje de cosas como mantequilla, latas y frascos
pequeños; se recomienda no almacenar quesos y carnes
frías en este espacio.
Para acceder a los anaqueles posteriores: levante ligeramente
el seguro de la gaveta para que ésta pueda girar libremente;
asegúrese de regresar a su posición original y verifique
que quede asegurada.

La carga máxima recomendada es de 2 Kg (4 Lb).

Evite que los menores se cuelguen del anaquel, éste se
puede romper debido al sobrepeso.
Antes de cerrar la puerta de su refrigerador verifique que
el anaquel gaveta esté en su posición original y sujeto
con el seguro.

2 anaquel ultracapacidad

Anaquel con gran capacidad y versatilidad en la puerta.

Usted puede almacenar recipientes grandes y botellas de
4 Lt (Galón).

3 anaquel botellas y latas

Anaquel que proporciona el espacio justo para

almacenamiento de latas en la parte frontal y en la parte
posterior de este anaquel, usted podrá almacenar botellas
altas. Adicionalmente, está ergonómicamente diseñado
para que los productos puedan ser cómodamente

Adecuado para colocar recipientes pequeños como yogurt

para beber, jugos, tetrapack, pequeños barnices de uñas,
etc. es ideal para guardar pequeños frascos que se pudieran
llegar a voltear en otros anaqueles.

• Charola para hielos: Con la cual usted puede fabricar

en el refrigerador.

modelos de súper lujo (acero inoxidable)

Los modelos de súper lujo con display exterior están

equipados con las siguientes funciones:

función de vacaciones 1

Esta función le permitirá ahorrar energía cuando salga

de vacaciones (recomendable no mayor a 15 días).
En unas vacaciones de más de 15 días, desconecte, limpie
y deje las puertas abiertas de su refrigerador para que se
ventile.
La función de vacaciones se activa directamente oprimiendo
el botón, se desactiva oprimiendo nuevamente el botón
o al abrir la puerta del enfriador, usted podrá advertirlo
mediante una señal sonora y la parte superior del botón
se iluminará. Además del indicador luminoso, usted podrá
ver que el dígito de la pantalla avanzará lentamente hasta
desactivar la función.

turbo 2

Esta función acelera el tiempo de enfriamiento y por

consiguiente, aumenta la velocidad de congelamiento.
La función turbo se activa oprimiendo directamente el
botón y se desactiva oprimiéndolo nuevamente o después
de cumplir con el ciclo óptimo establecido de acuerdo a
las necesidades específi cas de cada aplicación.
Además del indicador luminoso, usted observará que el
dígito de la pantalla avanzará rápidamente por una hora.
Al término de este lapso, regresará a su condición normal.

No se pueden activar ambas funciones al mismo tiempo.

alarma 3

Esta función le indica con una señal sonora cuando la

puerta del enfriador permanece abierta por más de un

minuto, (haciendo que el refrigerador sea menos eficiente
y consumiendo más energía).
Se activa o desactiva directamente oprimiendo el botón.
Usted podrá advertirlo mediante una señal sonora, la
parte superior del botón se iluminará.

Esta función bloqueará su display impidiendo que alguien

más cambie su programación.
Para activar o desactivar, pulse simultáneamente por 3
segundos los botones de alarma y vacaciones. En la parte
central aparecerá por unos instantes la letra L (Lock)
restaurándose nuevamente el nivel de frío.
2 nivel de frío

Esta función se encuentra tanto en el display interno

como externo.

Oprimiendo este botón aumenta el nivel de frío del

refrigerador, el rango va de 1 a 9, siendo 9 el más frío.

4 nota:
Su display es capaz de detectar la presencia de una falla,
la cual será indicada por la letra F, cuando suceda lo
anterior por favor llame a servicio técnico.
Para el accionamiento de las funciones no se necesita
una fuerza excesiva sobre los botones. TODAS LAS
FUNCIONES TARDAN EN ACCIONARSE 2 SEGUNDOS.

3 4 5 recomendaciones de conservación
Se recomienda guardar los alimentos en recipientes con
tapa, empacados o utilizando materiales que permitan
mantenerlos sellados, tales como papel aluminio, papel
plastifi cado o portaviandas.

No coloque alimentos calientes en el enfriador o el

congelador, espere deberá esperar a que logren la
temperatura ambiente.

Procure abrir las puertas solamente el tiempo necesario
para colocar o retirar alimentos o bebidas. De esta forma
usted estará reduciendo el consumo de energía y mejorando
el rendimiento de su refrigerador.

Si está abriendo y cerrando constantemente la puerta

del enfriador para introducir o retirar alimentos, y desea
abrir nuevamente la puerta, ésta puede presentar algo
2 de dificultad. Ésta es una condición normal, debida al
vacío que se forma en el interior del refrigerador por el
intercambio de aire a diferentes temperaturas. Puede
esperar de 10 a 15 segundos y las puertas abrirán con
facilidad nuevamente.

Guarde siempre la cebolla dentro de una bolsa de plástico

o recipiente hermético para evitar que su olor contamine.

No guarde ajo dentro del refrigerador, el frío y la obscuridad

promueven la germinación.

Al almacenar los alimentos en el congelador, prepare

pequeñas porciones, esto facilitará un congelamiento
más rápido y una utilización integral de cada porción.

Si desea congelar rápidamente alimentos o fabricar cubos

de hielo, se recomienda colocarlos sobre la parrilla del
congelador.

Observe siempre la fecha de caducidad de los productos

congelados indicada por el fabricante.

Una vez descongelado un alimento no podrá ser congelado

nuevamente.

Los líquidos aumentan su volumen cuando son congelados.

Por eso tome la precaución de no llenar hasta el borde
con sustancias líquidas los recipientes.

No colocar en el congelador recipientes cerrados de vidrio,

conteniendo líquidos. La rotura de recipientes de vidrio
puede provocar daños graves en el congelador.

Siempre desconecte la clavija del enchufe de su refrigerador,

antes de efectuar cualquier tipo de limpieza o verificación
técnica.

Nunca utilice productos tóxicos (Amoniaco, etc.) o abrasivos

(pastas, etc.) ni fibras que dañen el producto.

Utilice una esponja suave o trapo humedecido en agua

con un jabón neutro. Enjuague y seque bien con un trapo
limpio y seco.
También puede utilizarse para limpiar el interior, una
solución de una cucharada de bicarbonato de sodio en
dos litros de agua tibia.

No utilice fibras ni objetos afilados o puntiagudos que

puedan rayar el refrigerador, las parrillas o los anaqueles
interiores.

Para limpiar el condensador (en los modelos que lo tengan)

utilice un cepillo, trapo o esponja para eliminar el polvo
acumulado.

Procure hacerlo por lo menos cada seis meses.

Para una eventual limpieza del congelador:

• Desconecte la clavija de la tomacorriente.

• Después de la limpieza, coloque nuevamente el piso

del congelador para garantizar un buen funcionamiento
de su refrigerador.

El piso removible sólo aplica en algunos modelos.

4 información general
viajes y ausencias

En ausencias prolongadas, desconecte la clavija del enchufe.

Deje su refrigerador limpio y vacío, incluyendo los cubitos
de hielo.
Deje la puerta entreabierta, colocando algún objeto que
impida su cierre, para facilitar la renovación del aire y
evitar la concentración de malos olores.

Para periodos cortos de ausencia, su refrigerador podrá

permanecer conectado. Pero recuerde que siempre existe
la posibilidad de cortes de energía eléctrica mientras
usted no se encuentre.

mudanza

Si se requiere acostar la unidad para su transportación,

hágalo únicamente hacia el costado izquierdo (viendo su
refrigerador de frente).

Es necesario que antes de desplazar su refrigerador de

lugar meta los tornillos niveladores hasta el fondo.

fallas en el suministro de energía eléctrica

La mayoría de las interrupciones en el suministro de energía

eléctrica son corregidas en pocas horas. La temperatura
interior no se afecta hasta antes de 4 horas. Si la falla
eléctrica persiste por más de 6 horas le sugerimos que
introduzca bolsas de hielo en ambos compartimentos
para ayudar a la conservación de los alimentos.

Si su modelo cuenta con función de Vacaciones y Turbo,

en una falla eléctrica, éstas serán regresadas a su estado
de no activación (indicador de funciones apagado).

No hay ninguna afectación de su refrigerador al restablecer

la energía eléctrica.

ruidos considerados normales

Algunos ruidos son considerados propios del funcionamiento

delrefrigerador. A continuación, presentamos una tabla
descriptiva de los ruidos característicos del funcionamiento.

crujidos

Los crujidos se escuchan cuando el hielo se rompe. Es el

mismo ruido que ocurre cuando las charolas de hielo son
retiradas del congelador y expuestas a la temperatura
ambiente.

ruido del compresor

Ruido característico de motor. Significa que el compresor

está en funcionamiento.

ruido de expansión de gas

Ruido característico de la expansión del gas en el sistema

de refrigeración. Es un ruido semejante al generado cuando
se llena un balón de aire.

ruido de deshielo

Ruido característico de agua escurriendo. Ocurre cuando

el producto está haciendo el deshielo.

ruido del sistema de ventilación

Ruido característico de ventilador, que muestra que el

sistema Twist Air está en perfecto funcionamiento.

ruido de burbujeo de agua

Ruido característico de burbujeo de agua en el sistema

de deshielo, que impide la entrada de calor a la unidad.

precaución
No toque las paredes interiores del congelador con las
manos mojadas.

Evite que los niños se cuelguen de las puertas y/o jueguen

cerca del refrigerador cuando tenga la puerta abierta, ya
que pueden lastimarse, golpearse o quedar atrapados.

consumidor por concepto de mano de obra, refacciones y gastos de transportación del
producto que pudieran generarse. Los técnicos de SERVIPLUS están capacitados y cuentan
con las herramientas necesarias para hacer las reparaciones a domicilio, asegurándose de que
el producto funcione correctamente.

3) Cuando nuestro técnico de Serviplus asista a revisar el producto, se deberá presentar el

producto con la póliza de garantía debidamente sellada por la casa comercial donde se
adquirió, o la factura, nota o comprobante de compra.

4) El tiempo de reparación no excederá de 30 días, contados a partir de la recepción de la

general instructions

Remove the bases, packaging and accessories.

Remove the adhesive tape residue with a cloth soaked in
water and neutral soap.
Choose the location of the refrigerator. This area should
be kept clean and dry to avoid rust.

placement

1 2 Allow the following minimum space to ensure adequate

air circulation, especially if the appliance is going to be
fixed to the wall: 2 to 3 cm on each side, 10 cm at the
back and 5 to 10 cm on top.

Do not install the refrigerator near heat sources like stoves,

radiators, or in direct sunlight, as this will cause it to
overwork and be less efficient, thereby increasing its
consumption of electrical energy.

Do not lean it against a wall. By complying with this, you

will be ensured of the correct positioning of the product,
preventing your Refrigerator components from directly
coming into contact with walls or furniture, thereby
avoiding disagreeable noise.

1 leveling

3 Use the two leveling screws to level the refrigerator.

Insert and adjust them so that they rest fi rmly on the
floor.

The front of the refrigerator should rest a little higher

than the rear which should lean slightly backwards, thereby
facilitating the automatic closing of the doors and

preventing temperature loss.

Before inserting the plug into the AC outlet, clean the

3 interior of your refrigerator using a cloth or soft sponge
and mild soap, or a solution of bicarbonate of soda and
water.

For an effective installation, the following should be

taken into account:

minimum requirements of the electrical installation: 1 2 3 4 5

Characteristics: 127V ~, 60 Hz for residential use. Ideally

equipped with a main switch and separate balanced circuits,
protected by fuses and/or a circuit breaker of 15 to 20
amperes Max.

Your refrigerator comes equipped with an AC power cord,

a polarized Y-type cable or integrated grounding. Under
no circumstances must the grounding be removed to
connect an adapter plug, the grounding be cut and/or
replaced by a 2-prong plug.

For your safety when installing the refrigerator, refer to

figure A.

If your electrical installation is not equipped with this

kind of AC outlet, obtain one, and have it installed by a
qualified electrician. Any personal accidents and/or material
damage caused by the product resulting from failure to
do this will be the full responsibility of the client. Read 1
the instructions printed in red ink on the label attached
to the power cable.

Connect your refrigerator to the closest AC outlet. Avoid

using extension cords and/or joining cables that are
unsuitable for the running of your refrigerator. If for any
reason you need to use an extension cord, consult a
qualified electrician so that he can advise you on the
type of cord that can be used for maximum safety. 2

Do not connect another electrical appliances to the

refrigerator AC outlet while the aforementioned is in
use. By doing this you will avoid power surges and the
overheating of your refrigerator.

Never connect another electrical appliances into the same

plug that you are using for your refrigerator.

To connect and disconnect your refrigerator, grip the
plugfi rmly, and pull straight from the AC outlet. Never
pull the electrical cord.

If you live in an area where there are power surges, exercise

the following precautions:

• Do not connect your refrigerator to the AC outlet.

• Install an automatic voltage regulator with a minimum
force of 1000 Watts.

• Make sure that the regulator can withstand the power

surges that occur in your area.

• Ask a qualified electrician to inspect

and the electrical circuit, to ensure that the circuit is properly
grounded.

• To ground the circuit, follow the grounding regulations

and call a qualified electrician.

If the AC power cord is damaged, it must be replaced by

an electrician from an Authorized Service Center, in order
to avoid any risk of accident.

heating of areas near to the freezer

Your freezer comes equipped with a device which prevents

condensation. The heating of some external zones of
your refrigerator is normal. This prevents condensation
of the drops of water on the exterior of your refrigerator.
However, in conditions where there is high atmospheric
temperature and humidity, a light film of condensation
could form. Dry this with a soft cloth.

first connection

• Once your refrigerator is in place, wait 4 to 6 hours

before connecting it so that the gas and the compressor
oil settle.

• Before connecting the refrigerator, turn the refrigerator

temperature control or adjust the temperature level of
the display to mid-position (between 4 and 6).

• Connect the plug to the wall AC outlet.

• Allow it to operate empty and with the doors closed

for 4 hours before loading with food.

• Avoid opening the door so that it can reach the desired

temperature.

• If you want to place your refrigerator in another location,

disconnect it before moving.

• Once it is in its new location, repeat the aforementioned

steps.

freezer and one for the fresh food compartment, while
other models only have one general control inside the

turn the knob to the desired position. The refrigerator
temperature control is found inside the compartment. It
may be necessary to use a coin to turn the control.

It is not necessary to defrost your refrigerator as it defrosts

automatically (No Frost).

The Twist Air cooling system guarantees 1 2the even circulation

of cold air and its distribution to all parts of your refrigerator,
thereby maintaining the optimum temperature throughout.

This system has an air disperser which acts as a fan. It

distributes the cold air in the freezer and the cooling
tower.

The cooling tower, which is situated in the fresh food

compartment, has air outlets which ensure that your food
is maintained at the correct temperature.

It is important that the air vents are never obstructed.

On opening the door of your refrigerator, it is normal for

the tempered glass shelves to steam up because of the
introduction of moisture.

1 drawers

Your refrigerator comes equipped with various types of

drawers, depending on the model.

The cold meats drawer may be situated on any point along

the width of the shelf; it is recommended to place the
shelf which supports the drawer on the first level from
top to bottom.

The individual vegetable drawer is designed to preserve

fresh fruits and vegetables. Make use of the drawer division
so as not to mix the fruits and vegetables and to optimize
their placement (this only applies in certain models).

The luxury models contain 2 drawers to facilitate the

separate storage of fruits and vegetables.

In some models the drawer or drawers have a humidity

control.

2 3 humidity control

The vegetable drawer maintains a suitable temperature

and humidity for the storage of foods, thereby preserving
their natural characteristics.

The correct usage of the humidity control ensures the

adequate flow of air into the interior of the drawer.

It is recommended to use the humidity control in the

smaller compartments to preserve green vegetables and
in the larger compartments to preserve fruit.

to remove the drawers:

Pull the drawer out as far as it will go, press the rear of
the drawer down firmly and simultaneously pull it out
with the other hand.

To remove the whole set of drawers and lids, pull it out

as you would a normal shelf.

Some models have spill-proof shelves tempered glass shelves

with plastic frames and anti-spill edges, which prevent
small liquid spillages in your refrigerator.
Other models have wire shelves. Both kind of shelves are
multipositional. The maximum recommended load for
the shelf is 25 kg (55Lb).

if it is necessary to remove the glass shelves:

1. Remove all foods and objects placed on them.

2. Place both hands on the front part of the shelf, as

demonstrated in the picture.

3. With your fingertips, gently pull the shelf towards

you.

4. Once the rear section of the shelf is lifted, pull it

towards you, taking care to grasp it firmly.

5. To replace the shelf on the desired support, make

sure that the support is between the shelf edge and the
surface, as shown in the picture, and push until you feel
the catch of the shelf joint.

6. To change the position of other shelves, proceed in

the same manner.

half shelves

Your refrigerator may be equipped with half shelves.

These can be used only on the first three levels of your
refrigerator.

When adjusting or removing the shelves, make sure to

remove all food items stored in this area and to hold the
shelves with both hands.

To adjust the position of your half shelves, lightly lift the

front of the shelf and slide it forward until it rests loosely
on the support points; when it is approximately half way
to these points, shift the shelf to the side.

The placement of the half shelf is similar: introduce it to

approximately the mid-point of the refrigerator, rest it
against the side of the refrigerator and push backwards
until it rests on its support points.

The shelf is not completely horizontal, it is slightly raised

in the center so that when heavy objects are placed on it
it levels out - this is completely normal. The maximum
recommended load for this shelf is 8 kg (17.6 lb).

1 removable freezer base

Only certain models come equipped with a removable

base.

The freezer base can be removed to facilitate cleaning if

liquid spillage occurs.

To remove the base, pull it towards you.

Do not let liquids and objects fall against the interior air
vent.

For your refrigerator to run well, ensure that the base is

always in its correct position; after cleaning, replace the
base by sliding it smoothly into place.

Depending on its model, your refrigerator comes equipped

with a double deep door (which is the largest on the
market), and some of the following shelves (depending
on the model):

Some models have slide-out bins which allow greater
versatility of internal storage and distribution. To move
the slide-out bins, gently slide them into the desired position.
Remove any foods which may be stored on them to avoid
their falling over during the adjustment.

Your refrigerator may come equipped with a door

compartment bin, which gives you the option of
conveniently storing foods like butter, cans and small
jars; it is not recommended to store cheeses and meats in
this area.
To put the rear shelves into place: gently raise the safety
catch on the door compartment bin so that the catch can
turn easily; make sure to return it to its original position
and check that it is secure.

The maximum load recommended is 2 kg (4 lb). Do not

allow children to hang on the bin as it will break if
overloaded.
Before closing the door of your refrigerator, make sure
that the removable compartment bin is in its original
position and is secured by the safety catch.

A bin with a large storage capacity and great versatility

on the inside of the door. Suitable for storing large recipients
and 4 liter bottles (Gallon).

A bin which provides adequate space for the storage of

cans on the front part; the rear part is for storing tall
bottles. Additionally, it is designed ergonometrically so
that products can be easily reached.

ideal for storing small jars which can be knocked over on

The super luxury models with exterior display are equipped

with the following functions:

1 vacation function

This function permits you to save energy when you go on

vacation (15 days maximum recommended).
If vacations exceed 15 days, disconnect your refrigerator,
clean it and leave the doors open in order for it to ventilate.
The vacation function is activated by depressing the button
and deactivated by once again depressing the button, or,
on opening the refrigerator door, an alarm will go off
and the upper part of the light will become illuminated,
advising you that the vacation function has been set. In
addition to the illuminated indicator, you will see the
screen digit slowing advancing until the function has
been desactivated.

2 turbo

This function accelerates the cooling down time and

consequently speeds up the freezing time. The turbo
function is activated by depressing the button and is
deactivated by depressing it again or on completion of
your chosen cycle according to what your specific

The temperature range is from 1 to 9, with 9 being the

We recommend storing food in containers with lids,

wrapped in or stored in airtight materials such as aluminum
foil, plastic containers or plastic wrap.

Do not store hot foods in the fresh food compartment or

freezer. You should wait until they have cooled down to
room temperature. 1

Only open the doors for the time necessary to store or

remove food items or drinks. By doing this you will reduce
energy consumption and improve the performance of
your refrigerator.

It may be difficult to open the door again after having

opened and closed it to introduce or remove foods. This
is normal due to the vacuum that forms in the interior of 2
the refrigerator caused by the exchange of air at different
temperatures. If this happens, wait 10 to 15 seconds before
trying again and the doors should open easily.

Always store onions in a plastic bag or a hermetically-

sealed container to prevent their odor from penetrating
other foods.

Do not store garlic inside your refrigerator as a cold, dark

environment promotes its germination.

Store foods in small quantities in the freezer as this facilitates

quicker and more effective freezing.

We recommend placing food that you would like to freeze

rapidly or ice cubes on the freezer shelf.

Always take note of the manufacturer’s expiry date on

frozen products.

Once food has been defrosted, it cannot be refrozen.

Liquids increase in volume when frozen. For this reason,

do not fill recipients up to the brim with liquids.

Do not store closed glass recipients containing liquids in

the freezer. The breakage of glass recipients could badly
damage the freezer.

Always disconnect the refrigerator plug from the outlet
before cleaning or before starting a technical revision.

Never use toxic products (ammonia, etc), abrasive products

(pastes) or fibers as they can damage the refrigerator.

Use a soft sponge or a cloth which has been soaked in

water and a mild soap. Rinse and dry well with a clean,
dry cloth. You can also use a solution of one spoon of
bicarbonate of soda and two liters of warm water to
clean the interior.

Do not use fibers or sharp or pointed objects which can

scratch your refrigerator or the interior shelves.

To clean the condenser (on the models which have them),

use a brush, cloth or sponge to eliminate accumulated
dust. Do this at least every six months.

• Disconnect the plug from the wall.

• Remove the freezer base, pulling it towards you.

• During the cleaning, do not let accumulated liquid

filter into the interior of the refrigerator as this could
damage the unit. Dry well.

• After cleaning, replace the freezer base to ensure the

optimum running of your refrigerator.

Only certain models come equipped with a removable

base.

On prolonged absences, disconnect the plug from the

Leave your refrigerator empty and clean. This includes
the ice trays.
Leave the door ajar, placing an object behind it to prevent
it from closing. This facilitates air circulation and stops

connected. But be aware that there is always the possibility
of power cuts while you are away.

in order to transport it, place it only on its left side (when

their state of non activation (functions indicator will be
switched off). Your refrigerator will not be affected in
any way on the resumption of power.

Some sounds are normal when your refrigerator is operating.

Following is a table describing the different sounds that
are characteristic of its functioning:

crunching

Crunching is heard when ice breaks. This is the same noise

that is heard when ice trays are removed from the freezer
and exposed to room temperature.

compressor

This is a normal sound caused by the running of the motor.

It means the compressor is functioning.

gas expansion

Characteristic of the expansion of gas in the refrigeration

system. It is similar to the noise heard when filling a gas
cylinder.

defrosting

This sounds like running water. This occurs when the

refrigerator is going through the defrosting process.

bubbling water

This occurs in the defrosting cycle and stops heat from

entering the unit.

against any defect attributed to the quality of its material or to labor during its manufacture, under the
following conditions:

1) For this warranty to be effective, the consumer must apply to any of our SERVIPLUS Service Centers
by calling the telephone numbers indicated in the directory which constitute part of this warranty and
where parts, spare parts, consumables and accessories can be obtained.

2) Mabe Mexico S. de R.L. de C.V. undertakes to repair or replace any part of the product found to be
defective, at the home of the client and at no charge to the customer for labor, spare parts or
transportation of the product. The SERVIPLUS technicians are trained and have the necessary tools for
carrying out the repairs at home, ensuring the correct functioning of the product. MABE COLOMBIA S.A.
guarantees the availability of spare parts and supplies on the market, the length of time stipulated by
law.

3) When our technician from SERVIPLUS arrives to examine the product, the product together with the
warranty policy duly stamped by the sales outlet from where it was bought, or an invoice, sales receipt or
other proof of purchase should be presented.

4) The repair time shall not exceed 30 days, starting from the receipt of the telephone call at our
SERVIPLUS Service Centers.

5) The warranty will not be valid in the following cases:

• If the duly signed warranty, an invoice, sales receipt or any other document that proves the date of
purchase of the product is not presented.
• If the warranty has expired and is not within the warranty period authorized by the manufacturer.
• If the product has been used for commercial purposes, professional services or any other use that is
not wholly domestic.
• If the product has been used outside of normal conditions.
• If the product has not been operated in accordance with its English instruction manual.
• If the product has been modified or repaired by unauthorized technicians or service centers.
• Damages to the paint work and parts constituting its appearance when the product has been

• Breakage of parts due to mishandling.
