CARACTERÍSTICAS
• Con el control remoto universal puede manejar hasta 14 equipos usando los botones
compuestos y 8 equipos de función directa como TV, DVD, decodificadores de TV
satelital, sistemas de TV por cable, unidades de CD o sistemas auxiliares de audio.

INSTALACIÓN DE BATERÍAS
Retire el compartimento e inserte una pila tipo botón.

PRECAUCIONES PARA BATERÍAS

• Nunca mezcle distintos tipos de baterías o baterías usadas con nuevas.

• En caso de que exista un derrame en el líquido de la batería, debe retirar la batería y

limpiar el compartimento donde éstas se almacenan antes de colocar la batería nueva.

• Si no va a utilizar su control remoto por un largo tiempo, por favor retire la batería del
compartimento.

 PROGRAMACIÓN
Cambio a los botones compuestos
Dispositivo compuesto: tecla que contiene dos modos de uso (2 equipos). En total su
control tiene 6 teclas con esta función doble:

A continuación se presenta la manera de hacer el cambio entre ellas:

Presione una vez el dispositivo compuesto que desee cambiar para seleccionar la primera
opción que correspondería a aquellas del listado superior que se encuentran fuera del
paréntesis, la luz indicadora encenderá una vez en forma de confirmación; presione dos
veces para elegir aquellas dentro del paréntesis, la luz indicadora parpadeará dos veces
comprobando que ha elegido la segunda opción.

Configuración del control remoto

A. Cómo ingresar códigos
1. Busque dentro de la lista de códigos
anexa en este instructivo, el equipo
electrónico que desea controlar. Por
ejemplo: si su televisor es un AWA, el
primer set en los códigos será 0102.

2. Presione y mantenga presionado el botón
“SET” y después presione dentro de los equipos
a seleccionar el equipo que desee. Por ejemplo:
Presione los botones “SET” y “TV1” para
seleccionar en ese botón su televisión.

3. Cuando el LED indicador se encienda,

suelte el botón “SET” y el de “TV1” (si quisiera
programar dicho equipo) al mismo tiempo.

4. Ingrese el código de cuatro dígitos, Ej.: 0102

en el orden correcto como aparece en la lista de
códigos. Nota: el LED indicador parpadeará una
vez cada vez que ingrese un dígito.

5. Después de concluir el ingreso de los dígitos, la luz indicadora se apagará.

6. Revise los otros botones programados y verifique su correcto funcionamiento. Si los

botones presentan alguna falla, repita los pasos del 2 al 5.

 B. Buscar códigos manualmente
1. Encienda el equipo que desea controlar
(televisión, DVD, grabadora) manualmente.
Dirija el control remoto hacia el receptor de
señal del equipo.
2. Presione y mantenga presionado el botón
“SET” y luego presione el botón correspondiente
al equipo que desea controlar. Ej.: Presione el
botón “SET” y el de “TV1” para establecer el
equipo en dicho botón.
3. Cuando el LED indicador se encienda, suelte
el botón “SET” y el botón “TV1” (en caso de que
quiera configurar dicho botón) al mismo tiempo.
4. Presione y suelte el botón “SET” nuevamente.
El LED indicador comenzará a parpadear.

5. Presione el botón de encendido en repetidas

ocasiones hasta que el equipo al que está
apuntando se apague/se encienda. Luego
presione el botón (Ej.: “TV1”), que había
presionado en el paso 2.

6. Encienda el equipo que acaba de apagar. Confirme que los demás botones de su control
remoto funcionen con normalidad. Si nos botones no funcionan correctamente repita los
pasos del 2 al 5, hasta que encuentre el código que se adecue a su equipo.

C. Buscar códigos automáticamente

1. Encienda manualmente el equipo que desea

controlar y dirija el control remoto hacia el receptor
de señal del equipo.
2. Presione el botón correspondiente al equipo
que desea controlar (Ej.: “TV1”), el LED indicador
parpadeará una vez.
3. Presione y mantenga presionado el botón
“SET”; presione el botón de encendido hasta que
el LED indicador se encienda. Suelte el botón
“SET” y el botón de encendido.
4. EL LED indicador comenzará a parpadear.
El modo de búsqueda automática comenzará a
operar.

5. Cuando su televisor o aparato se apague,

oprima de inmediato el botón “SET” para
bloquear el código.

6. Revise para verificar que los otros botones de su control funcionen con normalidad. Si su
equipo no funciona correctamente por favor repita los pasos del 3 al 6.

 Función de copiado de funciones
Método de configuración

1. Presione el botón del dispositivo que desea

que su RM-090 asimile. Presione y mantenga
presionado el botón “LEARN” por tres segundos
para comenzar la función de aprender.

2. Dirija y apunte la ventana de la emisión

infrarroja (usualmente se refiere al dispositivo
infrarrojo instalado en la parte superior frontal de
su control remoto) del control remoto original a
la ventana de la emisión infrarroja de su RM-090
(separe de 2 a 5 cm).
3. Presione cualquier botón del control remoto original y suelte cuando se encienda el LED
indicador y permanezca encendida; instantáneamente la información de los botones se
copiará en su RM-090.

4. Presione el botón correspondiente al equipo dentro del panel de control de su RM-090;

ahora el LED indicador parpadeará de nuevo y la información transferida se guardará en la
tecla que eligió en su RM-090. De acuerdo con sus necesidades puede repetir los pasos del
3 al 4 para configurar los botones restantes de su control. Cuando termine presione el botón
“SET” para terminar la función de asimilar.

La función de copiado tiene un espacio de memoria limitado, cuando este espacio se termine,
el LED indicador parpadeará rápidamente 5 veces para indicar que el espacio se ha terminado.
Si usted requiere eliminar la información que ha copiado y transmitido previamente en su
RM-090, por favor presione firmemente el botón “SET” y simultáneamente presione el botón del
equipo que desee eliminar; después ingrese el código 9981 mientras el LED indicador se encuentra
encendido, así se eliminará la información.

Solicitar el código de su equipo
Si después de realizar la búsqueda automática de código aún no encuentra el código de su
equipo, siga los siguientes pasos para encontrar su código:

1. Presione el botón del equipo que desea

buscar (ya sea TV1, VCR etc.) y el LED indicador
parpadeará una vez.
2. Presione el botón “SET” sin soltarlo, presione
el botón “4” en el control remoto y ponga atención
al número de veces que parpadea el LED
indicador. Las veces que parpadea se refieren a
las UNIDADES de un código de 4 dígitos.
3. Presione el botón “SET” sin soltarlo, presione
el botón “3” en el control remoto y ponga atención
al número de veces que parpadea el LED
indicador. Las veces que parpadea se refieren a
las DECENAS de un código de 4 dígitos.
4. Presione el botón “SET” sin soltarlo, presione
el botón “2” en el control remoto y ponga atención
al número de veces que parpadea el LED
indicador. Las veces que parpadea se refieren a
las CENTENAS de un código de 4 dígitos.
5. Presione el botón “SET” sin soltarlo, presione
el botón “1” en el control remoto y ponga atención
al número de veces que parpadea el LED
indicador. Las veces que parpadea se refieren a
los MILLARES de un código de 4 dígitos.

Si al solicitar un número el LED indicador no parpadea, esto significa CERO.

 Compartir el “VOLUMEN” con otros equipos
Al configurar esta función, usted puede utilizar el control de volumen dentro de la televisión
aún cuando este equipo no se encuentre controlado por este control.
Metodo de configuración:
- Presione y mantenga presionado el botón “SET”
y presione el botón del dispositivo que desea
controlar; ahora el LED indicador se encenderá,
por favor ingrese el código 9901 y la función de
compartir el “Volumen” se encenderá.
- Presione y mantenga presionado el botón “SET”
y presione el botón del dispositivo que desea
controlar; ahora el LED indicador se encenderá,
por favor ingrese el código 9902 y la función de
compartir el “Volumen” se apagará.

Bloqueo y desbloqueo de códigos

Bloqueo de códigos
Primero presione el botón “SET” y finalmente
presione el botón del equipo que desea bloquear
(TV, DVD, etc.) y el LED indicador se encenderá;
ahora ingrese el código 9911 y el código
almacenado se bloqueará instantáneamente;
ninguna información, por ninguna operación
podrá sobrescribir sobre este código.

Desbloqueo de códigos
Primero presione el botón “SET” y finalmente
presione el botón del equipo que desee
desbloquear (TV, DVD, etc.) y el LED indicador
se encenderá; ahora ingrese el código 9912
y el código almacenado bajo ese botón se
desbloqueará instantáneamente. Usted podrá
reingresar otro código con normalidad.

Cuando el código se encuentra bloqueado, el usuario no puede cambiar la aplicación utilizada

o ingresar algún código del control remoto hasta que se lleve a cabo la función de desbloquear la
aplicación.

Restaurar configuración de fábrica

Presione y mantenga presionado el botón “SET” y finalmente presione la tecla del
“Dispositivo”, ahora se encenderá el LED indicador; por favor ingrese el código 9990, así
usted restaurará la configuración de fábrica.

 Notas particulares

1. Por favor asegúrese de dirigir correctamente la luz infrarroja a la misma

luz infrarroja del control remoto del otro equipo que desea controlar, además
de mantener una distancia de trabajo como la que se menciona en este
instructivo.
2. Este control remoto no puede agregar ninguna función nueva a ningún
equipo; por lo tanto este control remoto no se puede utilizar si su equipo no
tiene un dispositivo de recepción y envío.
3. Cuando coloque las baterías en este control, por favor asegúrese de que
las polaridades de las baterías sean las correctas.
4. En caso de un uso inadecuado o fuera de lo normal, este control podría no
funcionar con normalidad; bajo esas circunstancias, por favor intente retirar
las baterías y reinstalarlas después de 20 minutos para que el control regrese
a la normalidad.

CONDICIONES
1.- Para hacer efectiva la garantía, presente esta póliza y el producto, en donde fue adquirido o en
Electrónica Steren S.A. de C.V.
2.- Electrónica Steren S.A de C.V. se compromete a reparar el producto en caso de estar defectuoso sin
ningún cargo al consumidor. Los gastos de transportación serán cubiertos por el proveedor.
3.- El tiempo de reparación en ningún caso será mayor a 30 días, contados a partir de la recepción del
producto en cualquiera de los sitios donde pueda hacerse efectiva la garantía.
4.- El lugar donde puede adquirir partes, componentes, consumibles y accesorios, así como hacer válida esta
garantía es en cualquiera de las direcciones mencionadas posteriormente.

ESTA PÓLIZA NO SE HARÁ EFECTIVA EN LOS SIGUIENTES CASOS:

BATTERY INSTALLATION
Remove the compartment and insert a button type battery.

CAUTIONS ON BATTERY USE

• Do not use old and new battery or battery of different models at the same time.

• In the event of battery leakage, take out the battery, wipe the battery compartment clean,
and exchange new battery.

• If this remote control is intended to be not in use for a long time, please remove the
battery.

 PROGRAMMING
Change to composite buttons
Composite device: key which contains two modes (2 devices). The control has 6 keys
with this double function:

How to make the change between them is as follows:

Press once the composite device that you want to change to select the first option which
would correspond to those of top listing outside the parentheses, the indicator light will come
on once for confirmation; press twice to select those inside the parentheses, the indicator
light flashes twice to show that you have chosen the second option.

Remote control settings

A. How to enter codes
1. Search within the code list the electronic
equipment to be controlled. For example: If
your TV is an AWA, the first set code will
be 0102.

2. Press and hold the “SET” button and then press
the button corresponding to the device that you
want to control. For example: press the “SET”
button and “TV1” to select that button for your
television.

3. When the LED turns on, release the “SET”

and the “TV1” button (if you want to program
that device) at the same time.

4. Enter the four digits, e.g. code: 0102 in the

correct order as shown in the code list. Note: the
LED indicator will blink once every time you enter
a digit.

5 After concluding the digits input, the indicator light will go out.

6. Check the other programmed buttons and check its correct operation. If the buttons fail,
repeat the steps 2 to 5.

 B. Search codes manually
1. Turn on the device that you want to control
(TV, DVD, recorder) manually. Point the remote
control at the device’s receiver.
2. Press and hold the “SET” button and then
press the button corresponding to the equipment
to be controlled. E.g.: Press the “SET” button
and the “TV1” to program this button.
3. When the LED turns on, release the “SET”
and the “TV1” buttons (in the event that you
want to configure this button) at the same time.
4. Press and release the “SET” button again.
The LED indicator will start flashing.

5. Press the “On” button repeatedly until it shut

down equipment that you are pointing / lights.
Then press the button (e.g.: “TV1”), which you
had pressed in step 2.

6. Turn on the device that you just turn off. Confirm that your remote control buttons work
normally. If the buttons do not function correctly, repeat the steps 2 through 5, until you find
the code that fits your device.

C. Search for codes automatically

1. Manually turn on the device that you want

to control and direct the remote control at the
device’s receiver.
2. Press the button corresponding to the
equipment to be controlled (e.g.: “TV1”), the LED
indicator will blink once.
3. Press and hold the “SET” button; press the
power button until the LED indicator lights up.
Release the “SET” button and the power button.
4. The LED indicator will start flashing. Automatic
search mode will begin to operate.

5. When your TV or appliance is turned off,

press the “SET” button immediately to lock the
code.

6. Check that the other control buttons work normally. If your device does not work properly
please repeat the steps 3 to 6.

 Function copying
Configuration method

1. Press the device key that you want to your

RM-090 to copy. Press and hold the “LEARN”
button for three seconds to start the learning
function.

2. Point to the infrared emission window (usually

refers to the infrared device installed in the front
of your remote control) of the original remote
control to the infrared emission of your RM-090
window (separate 2 to 5 cm).

3. Press any button on the original remote control and release when the indicator LED lights
up and stays lit; instantly the information of the buttons will be copied to your RM-090.

4. Press the button corresponding to the equipment within your RM-18 control panel; now
the indicator LED will flash again and the transferred information will be saved in the key
chosen in your RM-090. According to your needs you can repeat steps 3-4 to set up the
remaining buttons on his control. When finished press the “SET” button to terminate the
learning function.

The learning function has a limited memory space, when this space is over, the LED indicator
will flash quickly 5 times to indicate that it is over.
If you need to delete information that has copied and transmitted previously to your RM-090,
press the “SET” button and simultaneously press the button of the device that you want to delete;
then enter the 9981 code while the LED indicator is on, so the information will be removed.

Get the code from your device
If after performing the automatic code search the remote still cannot find the code from your
device, follow these steps to find your code:

1. Press the button of the device that you want

to search (whether TV1, VCR etc.), the LED
indicator will Flash once.
2. Press and hold the “SET” button, press the
button “4” on the remote control and pay attention
to the number of times the LED flashes. The
times it blinks refers to units of a 4 digit code.
3. Press the “SET” button without releasing it,
press button “3” on the remote control and pay
attention to the number of times the LED flashes.
The times it blinks refers to the tens of a 4 digit
code.
4. Press the “SET” button without releasing it,
press the button “2” on the remote control and
pay attention to the number of times the LED
flashes. The times it blinks refers to hundreds of
a 4 digit code.
5. Press the “SET” button without releasing it,
press ‘1’ on the remote control and pay attention
to the number of times the LED flashes. The
times it blinks refers to thousands of a 4 digit
code.

If the indicator LED does not blink, it means the number is zero.

 Share the ‘volume’ with other equipment
When you configure this feature, you can use the volume within the television control even
when this equipment is not controlled by this control.
Configuration method:

- Press and hold the “SET” button and press the

button of the device to be controlled; now the
indicator LED will illuminate, enter the code 9901
and the volume sharing function will turn on.
- Press and hold the “SET” button and press the
button of the device to be controlled; now the
indicator LED will illuminate, enter the code 9902
and the volume sharing function will turn off.

Locking and unlocking codes

Lock codes

First press the “SET” button, and then press

the button of the device that you want to block
(TV, DVD, etc.), the LED indicator will light; now
enter 9911 and the stored code will be blocked
instantly; no information, no operation can
overwrite on this code.

Unlock codes
First press the “SET” button, and then press the
button of the device that you want to unlock (TV,
DVD, etc.) and the LED indicator will light; now
enter the code 9912 and the stored code under
that button will be unlocked instantly. You can
re-enter another code normally.

When the code is blocked, the user may not change the used code or enter a new code on the
remote control until the function to unlock the code is carried out.

Restore factory settings

Press and hold the “SET” button, and then press the “device” button, the LED indicator now
will turn on; enter the 9990 code to restore the factory settings.

 Notes

1. Please be sure to properly direct infrared window to the one on the remote
control of the equipment that you want to control, also maintain a work distance
as it is mentioned in this instruction manual.
2. This remote cannot add any new function to any equipment; therefore this
remote may not work if your device does not have a receiving and sending IR
window.
3. When placing the batteries in this control, please make sure that the polarity
of the batteries is the correct.
4. In the event of improper or out of the ordinary use, this control may not
operate normally; under those circumstances, please try to remove the
batteries and reinstall them after 20 minutes to bring control back to normality.

WARRANTY

This Steren product is warranted under normal usage against defects in workmanship
and materials to the original purchaser for one year from the date of purchase.

CONDITIONS

1. This warranty card with all the required information, invoice, product box or
