COMPOSICIÓN
I would say that this is a really interesting question, although people don't usually think
about this kind of deep topics, because it is not a very common question in our daily routine.
Firstly, memory, as a general term, is a very abstract word. What is the full meaning of
'memory'? Could we consider it when a person says that he or she can remember something in
particular? I don't think at all that memory is just the ability of being able to store and remember
one special topic in a specific moment. Memory has lots of different types, such as:
photographic, short-term, long-term and others. And which is the most important? It depends
for what.
From my point of view, long-term memory is the most important one, because if you
memorize something just for an exam or for a short period, you will forget it as soon as you
store it in your mind. But we have to take in account that photographic memory is as relevant as
the last ones, due to the difficulty that many people have to remember words or full sentences. I
think that this type of memory is the most practical one, and I often remember better a picture
than a sentence or a technical word. In my case, if I look at some photographs or images related
to a special point that I have to memorize, it is easier for me to memorize pictures than a long
text.
To sum up, I would like to keep this ability (photographic memory) during all my life.
