David Norris Phelps es un cantante de opera-pop, rock-pop, soul y baladas cristiano,
arreglista, compositor estadounidense, es ms conocido por cantar como tenor Gaither
Vocal Band. [1] l tambin ha lanzado varios lbumes en solitario, entre ellos cuatro
colecciones de Navidad. El 13 de enero de 2008, Phelps apareci en Extreme Makeover
Home Edition para la familia Woodhouse.Considerado en el mundo Cristiano como el

Biografa[editar]
David Phelps naci en Texas, hijo de Gene y Mary Elle Phelps.
Phelps creci en Tomball, Texas cerca de Houston y se gradu de la Escuela de Tomball
en 1988. Asisti a la Universidad de Baylor, (donde dirigi el coro llamado Baylor Religious
Hour Choir) se gradu en 1992 con una licenciatura en msica y la interpretacin vocal. Es
considerado uno de los mejores tenores a nivel internacional y nacional.
Fue presentado a Bill Gaither por Mark Lowry en unas grabaciones. David abandon el
Gaither Vocal Band en el 2004, regresando as otra vez (junto a varios otros ex-miembros
del Gaither Vocal Band) en el 2009. Comparte su papel de tenor con Wes Hampton.
Vida Personal[editar]
Es casado con Lori Purtle Phelps (que tambin naci el 21 de octubre de 1969), tiene 4
hijos: Callie Noelle (nacido en 1995), Beth Maggie (nacido en 1997), David Grant (nacido
en 2000) y Coby Daniel (nacido en 2004). La familia Phelps reside al sur de Nashville,
Tennessee.
