IMPORTANTE
No exponga el equipo a temperaturas extremas.

Si no va a usar el control remoto por un periodo largo de tiempo, retire las bateras y
gurdelas.

CARACTERSTICAS
El control remoto universal tiene la funcin especial de punto muy utilizado en los canales
de TV digitales o de alta definicin.

Su diseo es cmodo y permite controlar funciones bsicas con cdigos de programacin
para una gran variedad de marcas televisores y pantallas, as como DVD, VCR y receptores
de TV de paga o satelital.

1. INSTRUCCIONES RPIDAS
COLOCACIN DE BATERAS
Remueva la tapa del compartimento de bateras que se
encuentra en la parte posterior del control remoto y coloque
2 bateras AAA poniendo atencin a la polaridad.
Finalmente, vuelva a colocar la tapa del compartimento de
bateras.

PROGRAMACIN
1

Encienda manualmente el componente a controlar. En el control remoto

mantenga presionada la tecla SETUP hasta que el indicador se encienda con
mayor intensidad.

Presione una vez el botn del equipo que desea programar (DVD, SAT, AUX,
CBL, TV, VCR o CD).

Use los botones numricos (0-9) para introducir el cdigo de programacin de la

marca del componente, el led se apagar.

Presione el botn CH+ para comprobar que el RM-9 controla su equipo. Para
terminar y grabar el cdigo presione el botn MUTE una vez.

OPERACIN

Una vez configurados los equipos deseados en el control remoto,

deber seleccionar la modalidad deseada DVD, SAT, AUX, CBL, TV,
VCR o CD y operar el RM-9 de modo normal.

2. CONTROLES
1. Enciende o apaga el equipo.
2. DVD, SAT, AUX, CBL, TV, VCR, CD:
Selecciona el aparato que desea controlar.
3. Este indicador enciende de color rojo
cuando se presiona algn botn.
4. Dgitos 0 - 9: Sintoniza los canales
de manera directa.
5. Tecla punto.
6. ENTER: Presione este botn luego de
haber seleccionado el nmero de un canal,
para realizar el cambio inmediatamente.
7. GUIDE: Permite entrar a la gua de
programacin en pantalla de SAT. En otros
equipos, permite ingresar a submens de
configuracin.
8. MENU: Ingresa a mens de configuracin.
Use lo botones ,,, para navegar en
las opciones.
9. INFO: Permite ver la informacin de un
canal en particular.
10. QUIT: Sale de opciones de men.
11. VOLUME +/-: Permite subir/bajar el
nivel de volumen.

12. CH +/-: Cambia de canal.

13. NAVEGADOR: Estas teclas se utilizan para desplazarse a la derecha , izquierda ,
arriba , abajo , del men de configuracin, servicios de SAT, etc. La tecla central OK
permite confirmar la funcin seleccionada.
14. MUTE: Activa o desactiva el volumen.
15. PIP: Activa la funcin PIP (Picture-in- Picture).
16.- TOGGLE: Intercambia las pantallas PIP (Picture-in- Picture) y la pantalla principal.
17. REPEAT: Regresa al canal o pantalla anterior.
18. Reproduccin: En el modo SAT, VCR, CD, AUX o DVD, use estas teclas para reproducir
( ) grabaciones de programas, avanzar ( ) o regresar ( ) a la escena, pausar ( ) o
parar ( ) la reproduccin.
Use la tecla para realizar grabaciones de programas. Consulte a su proveedor de servicio
de cable o de satlite para ms informes respecto a esta funcin en su equipo.
19. SLEEP: Para utilizar la funcin SLEEP (apagado automtico) en el televisor.
20. AV: Cambia entre modo TV y video.
21. Selecciona la entrada de video.
22. CC: Activa la funcin de subttulos ocultos o Closed Caption (CC).

3. PROGRAMACIN
3.1 Programacin manual

1. Encienda manualmente el componente a controlar.

2. En el control remoto mantenga presionada la tecla SETUP hasta
que el indicador se encienda con mayor intensidad.

3. Presione una vez el botn del equipo que desea programar

(DVD, SAT, AUX, CBL, TV, VCR o CD). En este proceso el LED se
desactiva y activa.

4. Use los botones numricos (0-9) para introducir el cdigo de

6. Para terminar y grabar el cdigo en la memoria del control

remoto, simplemente presione el botn MUTE una vez.

En caso de que las funciones no operen correctamente, deber programar el control

remoto con otro cdigo que corresponda a su equipo.
Si ningn cdigo de la lista funciona correctamente (o la marca de su aparato no
est en la lista), utilice el mtodo de programacin automtica.

3.2 Programacin automtica

Esta opcin es til cuando no encontr la marca de su dispositivo en la lista de cdigos,
o si ningn cdigo funcion para la programacin.
1. Encienda manualmente el componente a controlar.

2. En el control remoto mantenga presionada la tecla SETUP hasta

que el indicador se encienda con mayor intensidad.

3. Presione una vez el botn del equipo que desea programar

(DVD, SAT, AUX, CBL, TV, VCR o CD). En este proceso el LED se
desactiva y activa.

4. Presione el botn CH+ de manera repetida (hasta 300 veces)

hasta notar que el control remoto controla su equipo. El indicador
LED parpadear cada vez que presione un botn.
Si por accidente presion la tecla CH+ rpidamente y avanz a otro
cdigo, use el botn CH- hasta notar que control remoto controla su
equipo.

5. Para terminar y grabar el cdigo en la memoria del control

remoto, simplemente presione el botn MUTE una vez.

3.3 Identificacin de cdigo

Esta modalidad le permite identificar con el control remoto los 4 nmeros que conforman el
cdigo de programacin de su equipo.
1. En el control remoto, mantenga presionada la tecla SETUP hasta que el indicador se
encienda con mayor intensidad.
2. Presione una vez el botn del equipo del que desea conocer el cdigo (DVD, SAT, AUX,
CBL, TV, VCR o CD). En este proceso el LED se desactiva y activa.
3. Presione una vez el botn SETUP.
4. Para identificar el primer dgito correspondiente a su equipo, presione uno por uno los
nmeros del control remoto (del 1 al 0 siguiendo el orden de los botones). Preste atencin
al indicador LED, ya que cuando ste parpadee, se indica que el nmero presionado es el
correcto.
5. Para encontrar el segundo dgito, presione nuevamente del 1 al 0, recuerde que cuando
el LED parpadea seala el nmero del cdigo correcto.
6. Repita el paso 5 para encontrar los 2 dgitos restantes.
7. Cuando el control indique el 4 dgito, el LED se apagar.

CONDICIONES
1.- Para hacer efectiva la garanta, presente sta pliza y el producto, en donde fue adquirido o en
Electrnica Steren S.A. de C.V.
2.- Electrnica Steren S.A de C.V. se compromete a reparar el producto en caso de estar defectuoso sin
ningn cargo al consumidor. Los gastos de transportacin sern cubiertos por el proveedor.
3.- El tiempo de reparacin en ningn caso ser mayor a 30 das, contados a partir de la recepcin del
producto en cualquiera de los sitios donde pueda hacerse efectiva la garanta.
4.- El lugar donde puede adquirir partes, componentes, consumibles y accesorios, as como hacer vlida esta
garanta es en cualquiera de las direcciones mencionadas posteriormente.
ESTA PLIZA NO SE HAR EFECTIVA EN LOS SIGUIENTES CASOS:
1.- Cuando el producto ha sido utilizado en condiciones distintas a las normales.
2.- Cuando el producto no ha sido operado de acuerdo con el instructivo de uso.
3.- Cuando el producto ha sido alterado o reparado por personal no autorizado por Electrnica Steren S.A. de
C.V.
El consumidor podr solicitar que se haga efectiva la garanta ante la propia casa comercial donde adquiri
el producto. Si la presente garanta se extraviara, el consumidor puede recurrir a su proveedor para que le
expida otra pliza de garanta, previa presentacin de la nota de compra o factura respectiva.

If for a long time does not use the remote control remove the batteries.

BATTERY INSTALLATION
Remove the lid of battery compartment which is in the back
of the remote control. Place 2 AAA batteries, pay attention
to polarity
Replace the cover of the battery compartment again.

Turn on the device (TV, VCR, etc.) to be controlled. Press and hold the SETUP
button until the LED indicator remains on, then release SETUP button.
Press once the desired mode button (TV, VCR, etc.). The LED indicator blinks
off once.
Press and release the numeric button (0-9) corresponding to desired
manufacturer (see table on code list sheet), the led will turn off.

Press the CH+ button repeatedly to verify that the RM-9 controls your device.
Press and release MUTE to install the code.

OPERATION

When the programming step is finished, only press the button of the
device that you want to use, for example DVD, SAT, AUX, CBL, TV,
VCR or CD and use the RM-9 in a normal way.

2. CONTROLS
1. Turn on/off the selected device.
2. DVD, SAT, AUX, CBL, TV, VCR, CD:
Selects device to be operated
3. Lights when you press any button.
4. Tune channels: Enter channels directly.
5. Point button.
6. ENTER: Press after direct channel
number to change to the entered channel.
7. GUIDE: If you are using the SAT mode,
this option allows to open the program
guide. In the other components, enter to
setup submenus.
8. MENU: Opens the menu screen. Use
with the (, , , ) navigation buttons.
9. INFO: Allows to view the channel information.
10. QUIT: Press to exit menu functions.
11. VOLUME +/-: Increase or decrease the
sound level.

12. CH +/-: Select next or previous channel.

13. These keys are used to navigate on the menus (right , left , up , down ). The
central key ( O ) input channel number entries on some TV models or make a selection on
a devices menu.
14. MUTE: Turn the sound off/on.
15. PIP: TVs Picture-in- Picture control.
16. TOGGLE: Swaps the PIP screens
17. REPEAT: Recall the last-viewed channel.
18. These keys control the SAT, VCR, CD, AUX or DVD and SAT player. In SAT mode works
correctly if your cable/satellite provider has this service. Also you can use the key to make
recordings.
19. SLEEP: Turns off the TV after a period of minutes. Brings up DVD Subtitle Menu.
20. AV: Switch the TV or video mode.
21. Selects the input video.
22. CC: Activates the Closed Caption funtion.

3. PROGRAMMING
3.1 Manual programming

1. Turn on the device (TV, VCR, etc.) to be controlled.

6. Press and release MUTE to install the code.

If the remote control buttons do not work correctly, please try entering other code
compatible with your device.
If none of these codes can make your remote controller work normally (or the
brand of your household electrical appliance is not in the table), please set up by
the Automatic programming section.

3.2 Automatic programming

If your product does not respond after you have tried all the codes for your brand, or if
your brand is not listed, try searching for your code by following these steps.
1. Manually turn on the device (TV, VCR, etc.) to be controlled.

2. Press and hold the SETUP button until the LED indicator stays on,
then release the SETUP button.

3. Press the desired mode button (TV, VCR, etc.). The LED
indicator blinks off.

4. Press the CH+ button repeatedly (up to 300 times) until the device
to be controlled changes channel. The LED indicator blinks off with
each button press.
If you accidentally overshoot the code required, press the CH- button
to backtrack through the library until the device changes channel.
Pressing CH+ changes direction to forward again.

5. Press and release MUTE to install the code.

3.3 Identification code

The identification code feature allows you to identify the 4 digit library code stored under your
device. For example, if you want to find out which 4 digit code is stored on your TV device,
follow the steps below:
1. Press and hold the SETUP button until the LED indicator stays on. Release the SETUP
button.
2. Press and release the desired mode button to know the code (DVD, SAT, AUX, CBL, TV,
VCR o CD). The LED indicator blinks, then stays lit.
3. Press and release the SETUP button. The LED indicator blinks off.
4. To find the first digit for the code stored under the mode key pressed in step 2, press
each numeric key from 1-0 following the order of the buttons. When the LED indicator blinks
off the number you pressed is the first digit for the code you are searching for.
5. To find the second digit, repeat step 4, this time when the LED indicator blinks off this is
the second digit.
6. Repeat step 4 to find the third and fourth digits.
7. When the control indicates the fourth digit, the LED will turn off.

This Steren product is warranted under normal usage against defects in workmanship
and materials to the original purchaser for one year from the date of purchase.
CONDITIONS
1.- This warranty card with all the required information, invoice, product box or

2.- If the product stills on the warranty time, the company will repair it free of charge.
