TUTORIAL TELAR MAYA
Existen telares mayas de diferentes tamaos (20, 30, 40 y 60 cms) igualmente encontraremos telares en los cuales los pines son en puntilla, pin de acero o aluminio y los pines de madera. Los pines vienen alineados uno frente al otro y hay otra variacin, como en las ilustraciones que aparecen mas adelante, de las puntadas, en las que los pines se encuentran repartido en forma desigual , casi en forma de zigzag. MATERIAL: 1 Telar Rectangular 1 Gancho de Aluminio No. 3 5 Ovillos de estambre (blanco) 1 Aguja estambrera INSTRUCCIONES: PIEZAS A Y B (Delantero y trasero) Con el telar rectangular, se tejen 2 piezas de 28 cm en PUNTO CRUZADO REFORZADO y remate. BASE: Con el estambre blanco trabaje en 11 clavos de cada lado con PUNTO CRUZADO REFORZADO, hasta tener 75 cm de largo.

ASA: Trabaje en 4 clavos de cada lado con PUNTO CRUZADO REFORZADO hasta tener 140 cm de largo. JARETA: Trabaje 180 cadenas, regrese con punto deslizado y remate. ACABADO: - Enhebre la aguja estambrera. Cosa las piezas delantera y trasera a la base. - Una vez unida la pieza trabaje en las orillas superiores *1 medio punto, salte un punto, trabaje 4 macizos en el mismo lugar, salte otro punto, * repita desde * hasta terminar la vuelta. - Cosa los extremos de las asas a los costados del morral.
