FluxImages automatically converts all uploaded JPG and PNG images to WebP format, generates WebP versions for all image sizes, and safely replaces image URLs on the frontend. It is fully compatible with almost all WordPress themes and popular page builders.

Installation

  1. (Recommended) Take a full backup of your site
  2. Upload the plugin folder to /wp-content/plugins/
  3. Activate the plugin through the ‘Plugins’ menu in WordPress
  4. Go to WebP Converter in the admin menu to run bulk conversions and view logs
  5. Enjoy faster image loading with WebP

FAQ

Does this plugin remove the original JPG/PNG images?

No. Original images remain untouched. WebP is served only to supported browsers.

What if WebP conversion fails?

Failed conversions are logged and can be viewed in the Failed Conversion Logs section of the plugin admin page.

Can I change the WebP quality?

Currently, the default quality is 80. Future versions may allow a settings slider.

Very helpful WebP conversion plugin. The bulk conversion option makes it easy to convert all existing images to WebP. After conversion, it boosts site performance and also automatically converts newly added images. Highly recommended.
