Hello Hello!
I've been having lots of fun filming my FMA final project in film class. Also, i got the "Bran and Park" short film class project in film pretty much edited as well (done to my satisfaction sooner than I thought!), and so I will basically probably have thursday's two hour class to work on my final project.
Most of the filming is done. I think tomorrow morning while I still have the camera I need to go back to the library and get some close ups of my face and a shot of the one line I didn't get due to the previous check-out camera's sudden malfunction about using chord power. x__X; I still don't know what I did to break it. x___x''
I'm having fun learning about filming, and filming too. I can go over a delicate little clip over and over, but well, people waiting around like to get it done a bit faster. Heidi and Nicole have actually found that they get along really well. They sat and talked the entire time today while I was trying to get some proper shots of my character. (It took like 45 minutes, honestly. Apparently A. Gaippe isn't as stringent about maintaining picture balance, which is the way everyone i've found to be a cameraperson so far is, and that is a problem, given that the whole thing's supposed to be eyecandy. (It's its main redeeming value. Also, if someone asks "WHY did you DO THIS??" as in breaking the fandom, the answer is my love of the characters and I want to bring them to life, but also to have really nice images of the story. Just another step on the road of showing the visuals of my stories I see now....) He is good though overall. [:) And at least he doesn't randomly start panning to random thing slike my partner in class did on that one project. He can listen to directions, yay.
I haven't written anything about this yet becuase I was a bit superstitious about talking about it like it's done before it actually was. Just my way of making sure I can keep the energy from me and the good energies around the project until it's to a point where we (meaning I) won't have to worry about time.
All that's left now to do is put it together, get a bunch of the lines recorded, and sound effects, along with those few other shots that I think I can do tomorrow morning, if only I deal with the wig again. Oh, wigs. You take a while to put on. I can't thank chimera_17 enough for her costume pieces and wig, and her meticulous standard for all of them. Having standards--in the filming too I'm seeing--is really worth its rewards. Cutting corners=crying and excuses later. *nod nod* -.-
After getting out of class and running over to the filming spot (behind Burge dorm) with Gaippe, I got the costume on (after some issues with remembering pieces from there to the bathroom), and then He, Heidi and I filmed for a while. Nicole showed up soon after, (not nearly as long as I'd thought it could take for her previous engagement to get done---I was quite lucky, even though we couldn't do her part until later). HTe project got lucky. x3
I admit, I was hyper because i was getting to be a fangirl. I didn't quite let down the "be the center of attention" (I don't like being on the spot, though I do like attention--that may be odd to understand, but when other people are waiting on me to perform I guess I don't want to be in that posisition, and I also feel like people are going to make fun of me for acting....Despite the fact that they to some degree all in the anime/cosplayer mindset. I've just been so conditioned to hide anime/stories/acting stories from everybody for deathly fear that they'll make fun of them (and me seperately too!) that that fear suddenly made a reappearance today. :/ It didn't the first filming days. Maybe it's because it wasn't going so well and people had to wait around. :/
Though, I must say, the scene with Winry and Al sitting with their back to the camera looked just fabulous (was acted amazing too). I can't wait to see what it looks like on screen. I kept going after one of the takes, and Nicole ended up laughing and looked like she burst into tears (in chara) and Heidi looked off, something that looked like "I can't stand this or to watch winry cry!" It was amazing. SOoooo happy I kept filming. Win. <3 I'm really having fun.
I must say, this is what college is supposed to be like, in my mind. This feeling of adventure, excitement, togetherness (friends), and yet also going somewhere. I spent all afternoon (~2:30p-6p) after some classes in the perfect sunny day, and windy whee (60 today! Maybe 70 in the sun!), and then I treated everyone to dinner [at subway], and the four of us sat around talking about stuff (even scientific stuff) for about two hours, until 8:30. Then we went our separate ways (I walked nicole to the lib and the busstop), all knowing we'll see each other tomorrow if not later in the week. Life should always feel like this.
Thans again everyone. Wish you coulda been there, Pat. But I'll see you soon too and we'll make up for the lost time too. :3
er, ps: looks at least heidi got sunburned. We were all looking kind of red. [i forgot that blonde friends usually = less strength against sun] ...>.> It's april, I don't think about sunburn yet! xDD;.....
H: dude, I totally got sunburnt
me: was that why you were all red? when it didn't go away, (and I saw it in your hair part) I was kind of wondering.

H: XD yeah, I just looked in the mirror and was like: why's my face all red? then there's a small V of skin where my shirt was parted that's red too
