Has your organization overlooked a common workplace hazard?
One in three Canadian workers will experience domestic violence in their lifetime. Of those, over 80% said it negatively affected their work. More than half reported that abusive acts continued at or near their workplaces, and over 40% disclosed to someone at work. When domestic violence shows up in the workplace, it affects the safety, productivity, and well-being of the entire team.
To help workplaces recognize and respond appropriately to the impacts of domestic violence at work, Women’s Shelters Canada, alongside a network of regional partners, offers a 90-minute Domestic Violence and Your Workplace training. This training will help your team:
- Understand how domestic violence can show up in the workplace
- Recognize warning signs and know what to do
- Understand employer responsibilities under workplace legislation
- Feel equipped to support survivors in the workplace
This training is offered on a fee-for-service basis, with discounted rates available for WSC members and non-profits. Contact [email protected] to schedule your training today.
