About Me

Chen-Chieh Feng

I am currently an associate professor of the Department of Geography at National University of Singapore and is part of the Tropical Environmental Change research group and GIS Unit. My research interests fall under the general theme of geographic information science with focus on human dynamics, qualitative description of spatial features, volunteered geographic information, and geographic information retrieval. I believe all these themes are important to improve current geospatial information technologies, both in terms of the quality of spatial data and the efficiency of geocomputation.

The use of various geospatial technologies, which include but not limit to geographic information systems, remote sensing, and social sensing to ensure sustainable development of cities are also of my research interests. Currently, my work in this direction involves spatial big data analytics, public health and aging issues, as well as human-centered GIS design.
