“Do you know what war is?”
With that question, Cutter and his companions are plunged into the most dangerous conflict they could never have imagined. In their quest for the legendary lost Palace of the High Ones, they are betrayed by the Gliders of Blue Mountain and left to perish on the snow-swept wastes of the Frozen Mountains.
Now the Wolfriders must face savage Northern Troll Warriors who stand between Cutter’s tribe and their goal. Even if they are able to join forces with the pugnacious, stag-riding Go-Back elves, can any elfin alliance survive the sheer force and brutality of the troll army?
The Wolfriders embark on their Final Quest!
Within the Palace of the High Ones, Chief Cutter and his tribe of Wolfriders avoid nature’s wrath and the threat of an ever-expanding human population. Yet comfort comes at a price. The seductive magical influence of the Palace may lead to the feral elves’ undoing and Cutter realizes he must embark upon the most important quest of all!

Wendy and Richard Pini Appearance FAQ
“Will Wendy and Richard have a table/booth at the show?”
It depends on the show — check each listing for details. They are generally available for signings each day of the show at certain times; check the schedule.
“Can I shake hands/give them a hug/etc.?”
They’re playing it safe. If you’re feeling under the weather, mask up. Fistbumps and photos/selfies from across the table are OK.
“Does Wendy do convention sketches/commissions?”
No. She stopped doing those a few years ago, for a number of reasons.
“Do Wendy and Richard bring comics/books/stuff to sell?”
It varies. At some appearances they are hosted (for example, by Dark Horse Comics) and the host will provide books. At other shows, Wendy and Richard may bring items for sale at their own table/booth.
“Will they autograph items we bring?”
Yes, with exceptions. They will sign most anything connected to ElfQuest – that is, from 1978 forward. Pre-1978 maybe not – Wendy prefers to leave her earlier work in the past. If you’re unsure, just ask.
“Is there a fee for autographs?”
Yes. Here’s how it works:
• For ElfQuest comics and books, the first item is free and then $10 each after that; the only limit is your wallet.
• For rare or “collector” or oddball ElfQuest items (unboxed figures, t-shirts, obscure publications, complete title runs, portfolio sets, etc.) – $50 per item signed.
• For Fantasy Quarterly (graded or not), or any grading-service-witnessed (CGC, etc.) signature on any ElfQuest comic – $100.
“Cash or credit card?”
They prefer cash; they accept plastic. That said, it’s a gamble whether or not your card will work. It requires an internet connection, which means wifi. And there’s no guarantee a show’s “available wifi” will work, when hundreds of other exhibitors are also trying to hook up. So be advised.
“Why do they charge for signatures? They didn’t used to.”
Yes, they did. The time spent attending a show adds up to days of work (and income) lost. They have to make that up.
New Wendy Pini artwork that is available to the public is as rare as a Winnowill good deed. She has created this exquisite portrait of the Sun Village healer, Cutter’s lifemate, especially for the benefit of the Ed Asner Family Center in California. This wonderful foundation offers inclusive day camps, expressive arts and vocational enrichment programs for all abilities at our center, as well as, health and wellness classes.
