As part of an exciting new initiative, San Francisco Ballet and SFMOMA have come together in collaboration to bring a beloved ballet company and a renowned museum together through film, straight to viewers’ homes. Through the talent and vision of director Ezra Hurwitz and choreographer Myles Thatcher, COLORFORMS was created as a way of bringing dance and art together in one colorful, joyous film that breathes new life and a new context into ballet. The title and credit design played a small but important role in giving the film a memorable and unique identity that speaks to this fresh take on dance, art, and experiencing both in this new medium.
