(1939) conducted a survey of filariasis in four villages, and found 126 positive cases (7.8 %) out of a total of 1,608 persons examined ; the positive rates according to the villages were 10.8 % in Huhsi, 1 1 .5 % in Kongti, 7.4 % in Watung, and 2.3 % in Hokaito.
