Cloud Solutions
“Let’s find ways to make the computer work for us, not the other way around.” – Stephen Schwindt
Cloud computing is an environment that creates an on-demand availability of computer resources. Two of the most common types of computer resources to utilize cloud services are data storage and raw computing power. It is generally done without direct active management by the user. The term “The Cloud” generally describes data centers that provide the service of data storage or computing power that is available to many users over the Internet. Utilizing Cloud-based technology allows your organization to scale their data storage needs as the business requires.
While adopting cloud-based technology may be intimidating for your organization, as a Microsoft Cloud Solution Provider, EhOS is here to support and assist you in increasing your use and efficiency with Cloud Solutions.
Software as a Service (SaaS) is a software distribution model in which a third-party provider hosts applications and makes them available to customers over the Internet. SaaS is one of three main categories of cloud computing, alongside infrastructure as a service (IaaS) and platform as a service (PaaS)
Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS) are online services that provide high-level APIs used to dereference various low-level details of underlying network infrastructure like physical computing resources, location, data partitioning, scaling, security, backup etc.
Platform as a Service (PaaS) is a cloud computing model in which a third-party provider delivers hardware and software tools — usually those needed for application development — to users over the internet. A PaaS provider hosts the hardware and software on its own infrastructure.
Private Cloud refers to a model of cloud computing where IT services are provisioned over private IT infrastructure for the dedicated use of a single organization. A private cloud is usually managed via internal resources. The terms private cloud and virtual private cloud (VPC) are often used interchangeably.
Hybrid Cloud is a cloud computing environment that uses a mix of on-premises, private cloud and third-party, public cloud services with orchestration between the two platforms.
EhOS offers many cloud-based services including Microsoft / Office 365 Cloud, Microsoft Azure Cloud, Cloud to Cloud Backup and Cloud Disaster Recovery. EhOS utilizes the StorageCraft system to maintain backups and provide on-demand disaster recovery. EhOS believes that access to backup data is critical in eliminating the amount of downtime a company or organization will experience when unexpected problems are presented.
