ve masal türlerinin tercih edildiği görülmektedir. Süreci 5-7 gün arasında tamamlayan öğretmen adaylarının süreç içinde en fazla arkadaşlarından yardım aldığı görülmektedir. Yapılan uygulamaları eğlenceli ve yaratıcı kelimeleriyle tanımlayan öğretmen adayları, metin oluşturma, seslendirme ve resim bulmanın sürecin en kolay bölümü olduğunu ifade ederken kullanılan program, ses-metin eşleştirmesi, çocuğun seviyesine uygun yazma ve dijital boyutta zorlandıklarını belirtmişlerdir. Öğretmen adayları dijital çocuk edebiyatı ürünlerinin öğretim sürecinde aktif olarak farklı disiplinlerdeki kazanımları desteklemek amacıyla kullanılabileceğini ve bu durumun hem kendilerine hem öğrencilere yarar sağlayacağını ifade etmişlerdir.

The aim of the study is to reveal preservice teachers' perceptions about science and technology by using metaphors. The sample consists of 286 preservice teachers enrolled at Elementary Science Teaching and Primary Teaching programs in Faculty of Education. The results showed that the preservice teachers expressed 127 valid metaphors about science classified under nine categories and 162 valid metaphors about technology classified under nine categories. The most frequently repeated metaphors related to science expressed by preservice teachers are "Tree, Life, Sun, Universe and Ocean". The most frequently repeated technology metaphors are "People, Life, Development, Child, Moon and Space". The results indicated that the metaphors related to the concept of science are categorized in "useful science" category and the metaphors related to technology are gathered in the category of "developing and advancing technology". It has also been found that preservice teachers' views about science and technology concepts focused on positive categories.

Bu çalışmanın amacı, ilkokul çocuklarının dört işlemle ilgili (toplama- çıkarma-çarpma ve bölme) yaptıkları hata türlerinin sınıf öğretmeni adayları tarafından tespit edilmesi ve bu hataların giderilmesine yönelik olarak yapılan çözüm önerilerinin ortaya konulmasıdır. Çalışma Ankara’daki bir devlet üniversitenin sınıf öğretmenliği programına devam eden ve “Matematik Öğretimi I” dersini alan 86 sınıf öğretmeni adayının katılımıyla gerçekleştirilmiştir. Araştırmanın örneklemi, amaçlı örnekleme yöntemlerinden kolay ulaşılabilir durum örneklemesi yöntemiyle seçilmiştir. Çocuklar için oyun ve oyuncak kavramı çok önemlidir. İnsanlık tarihi kadar eski olan bu kavram, çocukların bedensel, ruhsal ve zihinsel gelişimlerine katkı sağlamaktadır. Günümüz oyuncakları teknolojinin gelişmesiyle birlikte birçok malzemeden üretilmeye başlanmıştır. Fakat bu malzemelerin sağlık açısından güvenilirliği tartışılmaktadır. Ebeveynler de artık malzeme bilgisi açısından daha bilinçli olduğu için ve çocuklarının sağlığını her şeyden çok önemsedikleri için oyuncak seçimlerini artık doğal olan ahşap oyuncaklara doğru yönlendirmeye başlamışlardır. Oyuncak tasarımında sadece çocuklara yönelik tasarım yapılmaktadır. Bu makalede de, oyuncağın tanımından başlayıp, oyuncak sektörü araştırmasının yapılması, ahşap oyuncağın tanımının yapılması ve ahşap oyuncakların çocuk gelişimine etkilerinin araştırılması yapılacaktır. Bir tasarım önerisi olarak da, hem çocukları hem de ebeveynlerini düşünerek tasarlanmış olan modüler ahşap çocuk oyunevi tasarımı yapılacak ve diğer oyuncaklara göre inovatif yönlerinin araştırılması yapılacaktır.

Nowadays, tourism is in need of support by local communities more than ever. This situation attract attention of many scholars worldwide. For this reason researchers have been focused on effects of tourism on local communities for last three decades.
In this study it is aimed to investigate impacts of tourism on cross- cultural relations by the case of Çeşme and Chios Island. There is a lot of tourism traffic between Turkey and Greece, esspecially by the west coast of Turkey and Greek Islands. Çeşme and Chios Island is one of the busiest gateway for those visitors.
In this study, qualitative research method is applied. Observations and interview techniques are used for data collection. Data is collected through the interviews of 22 Greek residents of Chios Island and 17 Turkish residents of Çeşme. The observations are done in various places in 2 countries. Observations in Greece are done in Chios Island and its touristical villages “Pyrgi”, “Mesta”, “Armolia”, “Vrontados”, “Karfas” and in Turkey observations are done in Çeşme and its touristic neighborhood Alaçatı.
According to the findings, there are some negative and positive impacts of tourism on cross- cultural relations between Çeşme and Chios Island. These impacts are mostly positive on cross cultural relations. People of Çeşme and Chios Island are looking positively to each other and with tourism, relations are getting better and stronger.

Plant growth-promoting rhizobacteria (PGPR) are free-living bacteria that, as their name suggests, promote plant growth. However, they can also be of help in the biological control of plant diseases. This study reports the effects of two different commercially available strains of Bacillus amyloliquefaciens (FZB24 and FZB42) on tomato production in open and closed systems in the presence of different amounts of nutrients. Three factors were tested: (1) the type of nutrition system (open or closed), (2) the concentration of the nutrient solution (full or half strength), and (3) the PGPR applied (either B. amyloliquefaciens FZB24 or B. amyloliquefaciens FZB42, or a no-PGPR control). Perlite was used as the growth medium. Variables related to water use efficiency, yield and fruit quality were assessed. The use of half strength nutrient solution was sufficient for full growth in the open system in both spring and autumn seasons. However, the same strength nutrient solution was associated with reduced yields in the closed system during the autumn season. The application of either strain of B. amyloliquefaciens increased the yield of the tomato plants by 8-9% in the open system in the spring, whereas they had an adverse effect on yield in the closed system under half strength nutrient solution conditions during the autumn.

Cette étude examine les changements dans le processus historique des danses traditionnelles et des représentations corporelles turques et le marché de la danse formé par ces changements. Dans ce contexte, les processus du corps, qui ont été formatés à la suite de l'adaptation des danses folkloriques turques à la scène, et le résultat atteint à la suite de ces processus ont été expliqués en particulier après les années 2000. Dans le cas de "Le Feu d'Anatolie", la marchandisation du corps en raison de problèmes économiques a été évoquée.

Diabetic ketoacidosis (DKA) is an acute, major, life-threatening complication of diabetes mellitus. DKA results from severe insulin deficiency and mainly occurs in type 1 diabetes. DKA may be the first symptom of previously undiagnosed diabetes, but it may also occur in people known to have diabetes as a result of a variety of conditions such as infections, myocardial infarction, stroke, pancreatitis, trauma or poor compliance with insulin therapy. Vomiting, nausea, deep gasping breathing (Kussmaul respiration), pronounced thirst, abdominal pain, malaise, and generalised weakness are typical symptoms (1). Patients may also present with altered consciousness, disorientation, confusion or occasionally coma when the condition is severe (1). Diabetic ketoacidosis is diagnosed with combination of hyperglycaemia, acidosis and ketonuria. The American Diabetes Association categorises DKA in adults into three stages of severity (Table 1) (1). Treatment includes correction of dehydration, hyperglycaemia, and electrolyte imbalances (1). Synthetic cannabinoids were developed in the 1960s for clinical applications and research, but their therapeutic use was not approved by The Food and Drug Administration (FDA). However, over the past years, many herbal incense products such as bonzai (spice, dream, Jamaican blue, K2), which contain synthetic cannabinoids, are legally sold by head shops and on the internet in many countries. Affordability and easy accessibility via the internet contribute to the popularity of these drugs (2). Synthetic cannabinoids induce metabolic effects such as nausea and vomiting, hyperglycaemia, hypokalaemia and acidosis (3); however, they are undetectable in routine blood and urine drug screening methods (4, 5). Case Report: A 17-year-old male patient was brought to the emergency department with sudden onset of dyspnoea. Laboratory investigations revealed hyperglycaemia, acidosis and ketonuria. He was admitted to the intensive care unit with a diagnosis of diabetic ketoacidosis. He was not considered a typical case of diabetic ketoacidosis because of the tendency to hypokalaemia, persistent tachycardia and bronchoscopic findings. We learned from his friends that he had used cannabis for a week and used bonzai on the day that he was brought to the emergency service. Conclusion: Diabetic ketoacidosis with prolonged acidosis and tendency to hypokalaemia are investigated for the consumption of synthetic cannabinoids.

This study aims to understand the role of the leadership styles of Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan and German Chancellor Angela Merkel in European Union-Turkey relations by conducting a Leadership Trait Analysis (LTA), which takes into account the leaders’ personalities in foreign policy. The article makes use of the verbal records of the two leaders regarding the bilateral relations between their countries and the European Union. The results unveil that the two leaders’ personal characteristics bear similarities to a considerable extent; i.e., both leaders are sceptical in inter-personal relations, discernibly intuitive, self-confident and so forth. The study suggests that those personal traits of the leaders which have occasionally outweighed crude rationality have been some of the important factors enabling the sustainability of relations between Turkey and the EU against all odds.

Soğuk Savaş'ın sona ermesinden sonra Rusya ve Çin'in aralarındaki sınır sorunlarını çözmek için imzaladıkları ikili sınır güvenliği anlaşmaları kısa bir zaman içerisinde eski Sovyetler Birliği üyesi dört Türk Cumhuriyetinin de katılımı ile Avrasya'da bölgesel sınır güvenliğini amaçlayan hükümetlerarası bir yapıya bürünmüştür. İlk olarak 1996 yılında beş devlet tarafından sınır bölgelerinde askeri güvenliğin tesisini amaçlayan iş birliği anlaşmasının imzalanmasıyla Şangay Beşlisi kurulmuştur. Örgütsel vizyon ve misyonu içeren hükümetlerarası hukuki yapı ise Rusya ve Çin'in öncülüğünde Kazakistan, Kırgızistan ve Tacikistan'dan oluşan beşli iş birliğine Özbekistan'ın katılımı sonrası Şangay İşbirliği Örgütü'nün 2001 yılında kuruluşuyla gerçekleşmiştir. Üyelerin egemenliklerine saygıyı ve sınır hatları başta olmak üzere bölgesel terörizme karşı ortak mücadele edilmesini temel amaç edinmiştir. Örgüt politikaları üyelerin uyumunu ve bölgesel düzeyde ortak siyasetini oluşturan Şangay ruhu çerçevesinde belirlenmektedir. Şangay İşbirliği Örgütü günümüzde ABD önderliğindeki Batı dünyasına karşı denge politikası oluşturma potansiyeli taşımakta bununla birlikte Rusya ve Çin arasında bölgesel denge mekanizması oluşturmaktadır. Örgüte son olarak 2017 yılında Hindistan ve Pakistan'ın katılımı ile nüfus, coğrafya ve ekonomi açısından örgüt daha güçlü bir yapıya kavuşmuştur. Hindistan ve Pakistan'ın üyeliği iki devlet arasında kolonyal dönem sonrasından günümüze kadar gelen tarihi bölgesel sorunların çözülmesi açısından ortak bir platformda bir araya gelinmesini sağlamıştır. Bölgesel ve küresel dengeleri dönüştürücü potansiyel güce sahip olan örgüt, üyelerin güvenliğinin ve ekonomisinin geliştirilmesi hedeflerine sahiptir. Bu çalışmanın amacı Şangay İşbirliği Örgütü'nün geniş Asya'daki bölgesel barış ve istikrarın korunması ile küresel güç dengesi açısından çok kutupluluğun gelişiminde önemli bir rol üstlendiğini ifade etmektir.

İrlanda adasında biri bağımsız, diğeri Birleşik Krallık'a bağlı iki ayrı İrlanda ülkesi bulunur. Bu iki ülke yaklaşık yarım yüzyıldır Avrupa Birliği (AB) üyeliğinin sağladığı entegrasyon olanakları ölçüsünde bütünleşmiştir. Bununla birlikte, Birleşik Krallık'ta Haziran 2016'da gerçekleştirilen Brexit referandumu sonrası AB'den ayrılma kararı alınmıştır. Brexit referandumu, Birleşik Krallık'a bağlı Kuzey İrlanda'da ise AB içerisinde kalma, dolayısıyla İrlanda Cumhuriyeti ile Birlik dâhilindeki entegrasyon statüsünü devam ettirme iradesini yansıtan bir sonuç ortaya çıkarmıştır. Bu sonuç, uzun zamandır AB çatısı altında bir arada olan Britanya ülkeleri için yeni bir dönemin başlangıcı olmuştur. Referandum sonucunda, Kuzey İrlanda'ya benzer şekilde İskoç halkının da AB'de kalma yönündeki kararlı iradesi, Birleşik Krallık genelinde az bir farkla ortaya çıkan ayrılık kararı ile çelişen bir eğilim arz etmiştir. Böylelikle bu iki ülkede öteden beridir süregelen bağımsızlık tartışmalarını yeniden gündeme gelmiştir. Brexit referandumunun İngiliz hegemonyasını yansıtan merkeziyetçi bir eğilim ve empoze edici bir propaganda süreci ile gerçekleştirilmiş olması, bu tartışmaları alevlendiren bir unsur olmuştur. Kuzey İrlanda özelinde bu süreç, AB'de kalma yönündeki iradenin itici gücünden de destek alarak, İrlanda adasındaki tarihsel bölünmüşlüğe son verecek olan İrlanda Cumhuriyeti ile birleşme seçeneğini hiç olmadığı kadar olanaklı ve öngörülür bir hale getirmiştir. Bununla birlikte bu seçeneği, Birleşik Krallık'taki müesses yapıdan ve çok katmanlı siyasi dinamiklerden bağımsız ele almak olası değildir. İrlanda sorununun tarihsel arka planı ve Brexit sonrası sürecin doğurduğu yeni koşullar dikkate alınarak bu çalışmada, iki İrlanda'nın birleşme olasılığı; gerek Birleşik Krallık'ın geleceği, gerekse AB düzeyinden bu olasılığa etki eden dinamikler bağlamında tartışılmaktadır.
