The treatment of pediatric maxillofacial fractures is unique due to the psychological, physiological, developmental, and anatomical characteristics of children.Method. This case report describes the management of symphysis fracture of mandible in a 5-year-old boy. The fracture was treated by acrylic splint with circummandibular wiring.Results. The splint was removed after 3 weeks. The patient had no complaints, and radiograph revealed a healed fracture.Conclusion. The clinical outcome in the present case indicates the management of mandibular fractures in pediatric patients using acrylic splint with circummandibular wiring.

Aim: The survey aims to assess the knowledge, attitude and practices regarding eco -friendly dentistry among dental practitioners.Material and Methods: The cross sectional study was conducted among 800 dental practitioners selected through a systematic random sampling. Data was collected using the pretested structured closed ended questionnaire. The first part of the questionnaire consisted of the demographic details and the second part awareness on eco-friendly dentistry, its associations and implemented strategies in their practice, their support and opinion towards this concept.Results: Among the total sample only 13.1% were aware of EFD Association. 76% (608) of the total sample reported that they were aware of harm done to the environment by dental practice. Among the total participants, majority 57.9% reported that they implement the strategy of proper protocol for waste disposal. Aim and objective: This case report aims to describe the management of mandibular anterior teeth subjected to occlusal trauma. Background: Occlusal trauma occurs as a result of reduced ability of the tissues to resist the occlusal forces most likely as a result of masticatory system dysfunction abnormal contact of the teeth, and prosthetic or orthodontic treatments that create occlusal interferences. Case description: This paper describes a case of traumatogenic occlusion seen in the dentition of a 13-year-old female patient and its management by stabilization, endodontic, and orthodontic therapy. Conclusion: The removal of the anomalous occlusal forces and stabilization of the affected teeth is the most relevant therapy for teeth affected by trauma from occlusion (TFO). Clinical significance: Periodic monitoring of developing occlusion contributes to preventive care and encourages the maintenance of a healthy periodontium.

Cutaneous examination revealed dry fishy scales involving the entire body surface including the upper and lower limbs, face, scalp, and body trunk. The hair was sparse and had scanty eyebrows. There were no abnormalities involving palm, sole, or nails (Figs 1A-C). Extraoral examination elicited normal mouth opening, absence of a nasal bridge, dry lips with bilateral multiple fissures at the corner of the mouth. Malar deficiency was noticed in the lateral profile (Figs 1D and E). Intraoral examination showed mixed dentition with dental caries in 55, 74, 36; restored 64; fractured restoration in 84; preshredding mobility of 51 and mild gingivitis (Figs 2A-C). No pathology was noticed in the tongue. Radiological examination depicted mixed dentition with multiple carious lesions and no other defects (Fig. 3A). The dental management was initiated with preventive measures such as oral prophylaxis and fluoride application as the patient had high caries risk followed by restorations in relation to 55, 64, 36, 84, Mineral Trioxide Aggregate pulpotomy in 74 (Fig. 3B), followed by postoperative fluoride application. 51 had undergone natural exfoliation. Crown w.r.t 84 was avoided as parents were not willing for esthetic crowns due to economic factors and the child's physician advised to prevent stainless steel crown, if possible. Objective: The purpose of this paper is to describe the management of a visually impaired 12-year-old child by using 'ATP technique' and 'Tell-Feel-Do technique'.
