Real fun game. The gameplay feels satisfying and snappy, and it has potential to add more mechanics like ice or even enemies. I would like to see a practice mode where you can ad checkpoints and a way preview the whole level by moving the camera before starting the level. 8/10
Also got stuck on the lilypad level. Its hard :(]

every time I respawn I get a really annoying camera shake from where I died to where I spawned. please fix this big.

Died so much on that level that the game started to lag from the vast quantity of Xs. They really should have made that the last level in the game.

Hm, I believe it must be some kind of difference on my end, but response pressing left or right is significantly delayed. This doesn't appear to be the case for shared videos of gameplay that I've seen.
A shame, as this looks rather fun.

it is hard, but the last level is way harder imo
Wha?? The final level has a repeating pattern making it easy peasy! What makes lilypads so nasty is the patternless jumps you have to memorize and cannot see because the screen is so zoomed in. I also swear that the last jump in lilypads even requires a 120 degree turn.

my love for this game is immense. It became my new obsession and i replay it over and over(for that is the fate of student). My record for speedrun is 103s 25ms but I’m trying to go under minute and a half now, hoping to get under a minute in future. It’s my favourite game on this site. I love the graphics, the challenge and the overall design and gameplay. I also value the name ‘snek’ as it speaks to my soul.

Found out about this game from a dev on bluesky posting about their game that's inspired by this one, and this is delightful!!
The core concept is really damn solid, and barring the really steep difficulty of the levels, I really dig it!
A refined take on this would be killer in my opinion, looking forward to the steam release!!

I can get a sub time of 90 seconds consistently but my best is 76.90
tun killers for me is always snek and the wall one because you have to dash where dashing is hardest to get a good time. also if you fail twice on a level restart because failing twice gives you a bad run .

Good demo! i love the arcade aesthetic and the bonk mechanic that added depth to the movement that can potentially save a run! Looking forward to the official release.
